Pixomatic - Background eraser

The app itself is great. Easy to use, lots of tools and features at your disposal. I paid for the lifetime app a few years ago, I believe like $5, only for them to then change to a new monthly payment that voided my lifetime purchase. They gave me a few months extra to continue using the app features. Now they are raising the prices to an absurd amount as if this is the premier photo editing app. It really is a shame.

Only 1 FLAW!!! Please fix ASAP!!! Make the app confirm that you want to press back or to clear your progress on a project that's being worked on. So many times, I've been almost done blurring a photograph, and then I accidently hit the back button and lost all my progress and had to start over. This is the best solution I can come up with either add a pop-up that you have to confirm you want to leave your progress, or just automatically save the project from time to time. PLEASE FIX!!!

Back when this app was ad free it was awesome. Very easy to use layers, unlike the major other apps (PicsArt, adobe). Ads absolutely ruined it completely. I spend more than half of the time watching ads -after like a click or two. It's insane! I'm all for ad revenue, but this is way over the top. To the point of being unusable. Also certain features drastically reduce the resolution. Might be a necessary evil for some things, but that should be listed in the notes somewhere.

Frustrating I used this app to replace the background of a photo and it started out well. However, as I was going in to recut as needed, I found that after awhile, each time I went to cut more, things I had already cut were no longer and then I had to do more work to fix it. Needless to say this took a long time and was extremely frustrating. I have cancelled my premium subscription and will likely not be back, the thought of dealing with that again is awful. Unfortunate, it made beautiful work.

Been using it a while and with the last update it's no longer available at all due to them wanting to charge me for it all of a sudden. I get having a paid version, but to suddenly start charging me for what was previously a completely free version of the app? No thanks, other apps that do the same thing and are free just like yours use to be are still readily available.

This is my first review and I don't mind giving 5 more in what ever direction. I paid the money for the month. What I'm outraged enough to put my first rating at a two is simply because any photo I save from editing with pic automatic. Is they are blurry unclear not sharp poor res and list goes on. For this simple mistake and fix with update on file path. I will not budge off a two. Very good bones of an app. However every photo being messed up, that to me seems to be more like laziness. Works.

Never again. I just wanted to erase the background of an image (which is clearly its main advertisment) but I'm constantly being shoved down my throat to pay a subscription to use their services. "Okay, sure." I thought, about to save the transparent image I've made, but then (here's the funny part), you can't even do that! You have to pay for the subscription to do that. I just ended up screenshotting the transparent image I made then went to a FREE online background remover. Great stuff guys.

I like Pixomatic I've had it over a year. Imagine my surprise today when I used it, & saw I can only use 2 of my own pictures. If I try to put any more in, there is a pop-up that says to pay around $3 a month or, $29 a year for "Pixomatic Pro Photo Editor". Interestingly enough, this app isn't the pro version. They're extorting you to upgrade! People who have had this app all along should be grandfathered in. If I have to pay, I'll delete this app & install another photo edit app. Greedy app!

It used to be much better. Parts don't work like the option to fill with color, making text rounded, selecting a color to remove or change to different color, the magic works on some pictures but just cuts a small area other times. And when I'm cutting or erasing it will crash so I save every few seconds just incase. It could be great if it worked properly. 3 to 5 years ago it worked much better. Hope they fix it.

Everything is really good and easy to use once you get used to it. It was better before when you didnthave to pay just to make a single layer or cut something. Would recomened if you just want to edit a photo like adding brightness and filters.. Would not recomened if you want to make something proffesional.

I was so excited that this app was doing what I needed it for, at least to an extent. I needed a white background and it was doing that. The problem is it will print white once finished but when I go get the pictures from gallery to use, it comes our whitish pink. It's more of pink than white. I pay $8.99/mth yet it's not delivering as promised. I am not one that sends a review out but I had to on this one because I am very upset!!!

this app used to be somewhat respectable. with mild adds here and there and almost a full access to everything, it was pretty solid. however, now I can't go 2 full minutes without getting a 30 second add in which it continuously bombards me with banners asking me over and over to download the app it's advertising onto my phone, on top of the fact that it's advertising it's own paid portion of the app afterwards. unfortunately I can't express everything in this, but only get app if desperate.

Signed up for trial. Wasn't that impressed as there are other apps that can do the same for free so didn't use it much. Forgot to cancel subscription (my fault) so went to cancel and noticed that I had been charged TWICE a day apart. Queried the double charge and got no apology or explanation only a "We have refunded the charge back to your account". I also asked to cancel ongoing subscription (as there is no where on the app to do so, that I can see) but unsure whether this was done. *beware*

It used to be really good and easy to use which is why I subscribed again yesterday. The templates were good but when you load your own picture to the template, it doesn't erase the background of your photo instantly, the editing is not like before. The instant Erasing background gives you more work, there are still some ad popping up. Loading new resolution after editing is slower. I want my money back and unsubscribe.

I posted a review some time ago. Devs replied, and then my review was removed. Wow Google Play, good job! I'm gonna still write another one. BEWARE: TRIAL = SUBSCRIPTION. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged. The app won't let you do anything unless you subscribe. I am not against the apps being paid, but only in case the sub system is transparent instead of "we state all the info about the sub in a very small text where you don't expect it to be, you just did not read it

This is a very good app that can do things no other Android app can. It works very similar to 'Shop or GIMP on PC. I'd give it five stars but it has a few quirks. That doesn't keep it from being indispensable if you like to edit photos. Get it and subscribe. You won't be disappointed. (Hooray! Thanks for the update that fixed the problem!)

I managed to do what I downloaded the app for within the free 7 day trial. It said that it would make me aware of when the trial was coming to end, so I could cancel the subscription if I wanted. However you failed to inform me of when the free trial was coming to an end and you automatically took a £25 payment, I can't find anywhere to discuss my financial issue with you :( As I didn't want to go ahead with the paid subscription. Can someone please issue me a refund and cancel the subscription

Ive been using the free version for a long time now and thoroughly enjoyed it until recently when I updated the app after a very long time of using the outdated version. since the update it constantly crashes, cleared cache and keeping it updated but still, constanlty crashes losing all work. More than half the time I start the app upp, load a photo up it freezes then crashes. Not sure why this app has gone downhill, wish I never updated it

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS APP - faceless company with predatory subscription charges. I signed up for a 7 day free trial but ended up canceling the same day. One week later I was charged the subscription fee three times. What a scam. I contacted their customer support team but never heard back. Thank God AMEX was able to help. Avoid at all costs.

Horrible app... joined a free trial back in Feb 2024 a week later was charged for a yearly gold membership. Cancelled and deleted my subscription, no longer shows on my subscriptions on my Google Play store but currently May 2025 STILL BEING CHARGED on my credit card. Sometimes I'm being charged 2-3 times a month. I have tried to reach out and keep getting a response "responses may take longer than usual" Beyond frustrated!!!!
