Play Tube - Block Ads on Video

Pros: It does play audio when display is off, which is very convenient! Cons: Ads play with no warning and are very long. Ads don't play during videos though, which is nice. Bugs: 1) "Could not play video" error. 2) Buffering can be problematic, especially when you select a lower resolution (ironically). Also, there's no option to make the video fullscreen

Still 2 complaints. The start up error got fixed, which is good. But now I can't play videos in the background like i could used to. If that's the case, what is the point of the notification bar player? Second is i still can't sync my subscriptions from YouTube over. Minus 1 star from before, i wish you can play videos in the back again.

The ads are to much now. Probably worth youtubes annual membership at this point. Small ads would be fine if they weren't so damn intrusive. You mofos put up full screen, long ads. Wasn't the whole point no ads? Gtfo. I'll install in a few months and see if it's better. I'd pay a one time solid fee of 10-20 or whatever really for an ad free version!

Currently broken again, can show videos, can select videos, but will never stop buffering videos. It used to do this only most of the time, so I re-download it from the appstore, and now it doesn't work 100% of the time. Also, saved playlists are gone- you can save something to a playlist, the app will acknowledge a video is saved to a playlist, but when you check playlists it shows you don't have any.

Got it because people raved about its adblock feature, but trying to watch videos is painful. When a video opens my phone starts vibrating like San Francisco in 1908, then there's a "Lord of the Ring trilogy" length delay before the video starts playing. And to top it all off, theres no full screen mode. I guess if all you care about is being able to listen to music with your phone closed it might be useful, but I'll deal with the ads on YT personally

Lousy app. Doesn't share properly - if at all. Doesn't let you log into your YouTube accounts so it doesn't import history or subscriptions or anything useful. It also doesn't let you like or save anything which is very bad for stats. Plus it's super annoying how the search option works. You have to know exactly what you're looking for. Even worse, the analytics have no option to make suggestions based off of what I've already watched. Lame

App is nice because it's free with no ads. It's got a couple of issues though. Hard to explain, but sometimes you cant skip to the next song, it just repeats the same one over and over. The other issue is, it stops responding after a few seconds of opening it up, but second time I open the app it runs fine.

app use to be good but for the past few months I've had major problems which I will provide below in a list. . . 1) 3 out of 10 times I try to watch a video the video is randomly in another language and I can't find a way to stop that from happening. 2) I use to be able to let my playlist play all and it plays then go to the next song, and also, I use to be able to have a shuffle option. that does not work anymore, and the Playlist does not function at all. it just plays a video and stop.

It still has ads, but a looooot less than YT's ads. You may encounter around 1-2 ads every hour or so with Playtube, and that's only if you're using the app to look for videos. If you leave it with the autoplay, there won't be ads. One small problem the app has is the video glitching--sometimes the video may take forever to load, or it may abruptly stop playingin the background until you open the app window again. All in all, great app!

You can't connect it to your YouTube account. Your homepage remains the same static Trending tab instead of reflecting you watch history. No comments either. Trying to watch a video leaves a gap longer than most ads you would've gotten anyways. The app is also infested with ads anyways. Videos buffer frequently and sometimes refuse to play. I would keep going with issues but I simply don't have enough characters to do so. Just take the L and use YouTube. Also it harrasses you to leave a review.

Decent app, but it does have a couple of little hiccups. You can't like any of your videos through this app, and there might be limitations based on using a third party software program, for which I can understand. Sometimes the ability to play sound with the screen off doesn't activate like it should, but I don't know coding and it could be something I am failing to turn on. Also I think there are limits to how much play without the screen being on is able to be done? Either way, it works well

I love this app. Videos play in backgound, they keep playing when selecting another video until it loads. Max volume is better than YT. My only issue is autoplay doesn't work, songs on playlist don't automatically go to next song and I have to do it manually which is annoying.

Love android because I love that developers can do things like this for consumers so easily. Once it's set up (which was a bit fiddly for me getting my YT account over the way I wanted it to show) it is amazing! I tried 2 other playstore apps that do the same thing but I couldn't get them to either port the YT account or play any vids so very happy and recommend Play Tube to anyone else interested in using their YT account without ads

Edit: dropped from 4 to 3 to 2 cause the playlist is bugged, when I try to play it, it just plays one song Also, sometimes certain videos would just start changing the audio to another language for some reason??? And now the video refuses to even play to begin with, regardless of connection type, even tried wiping the entire, no luck, please fix this, I really like using this app

It mostly does what it's supposed to do, and that's playing youtube videos without ads, and it's fairly easy to connect it to your account. Unfortunately the app seems unable to play playlists. Therefore it's usefulness is limited.

FOA, the app really works on no ads and background sound play. It does really deliver what i need. I would rate a full star review if some glitch are solved. One of my major proble is, the app keeps saying ' This video cannot play right now, please try another video ' after 1 video is played. If i let the apps to autoplay the video, it was okay. BUT if i search for second and more video to play it will shown the text above, like a jammed system. Then i need to clear cache everytime for new.

The PlayTube allows you to create a playlist, but when I click 'play all' button on the playlist it doesn't play all the videos and instead just stops playing after the first video and doesn't continue to the next video. this needs to be fixed and a shuffle button should be added as well.

The app hasn't been working for days again, it won't play any song! This version of the app was the best before, the new one you made is bad and it looks like you are slowing down this version and want to completely disabled it, which is disappointing...

Great app. Would give 5 stars if it could choose the audio track. Sometimes it takes on a different language which I can't understand nor change to original or English. Please change this!

Anytime I try watching a video, it uses the AI translate and changes the language. No setting found to keep it in English. Sad.
