Pluto TV: Watch Free Movies/TV

this used to be my absolute favorite Free streaming app. best selection of content, the live TV feature, the movies. All good. but lately it is very buggy, the screen freezes while still playing the audio and the only way to fix it is to change the channel and then change it back. then the title will play a few more seconds and freeze again. I wish we could go back to the good old days of Pluto!

You would receive 5 stars if it weren't for one thing that's so significant, it drops the score to one star. Ads that freeze. I don't mind the ads. They keep it free. What I do mind are ads that freeze and never unfreeze. I exit out, go to something else and when I come back the same ad freezes. This is a constant problem and makes the whole app unwatchable. It got so bad, I just went ahead and bought the TV series I was attempting to watch. I'd rather pay than deal with this. Fix your issues.

Ah yes of course the second I opened the app I want a video to start playing at max volume because obviously I'm always wanting to watch live television not trying to use the on demand feature. of course I always want something playing in the background and of course I want to go out of my way to click on the video player just to mute it. also when I'm not watching a video on purpose it forces me into picture and picture. TV Hulu app is better then this.

Would be 5 stars if it had a sleep timer. I used to use this app as I went to sleep, but it just plays forever and ends up waking me back up, so I had to stop lol. And not a big deal, but the "auto-play" nature of the app is a little annoying; if you click a channel it continually plays--there's no stop button, but you can hit mute at least. Overall I'm really grateful for this free app with lots of great content, and no credit card required! Also love the Golazo Network, and so much Star Trek!

I'm giving 2 stars instead of just 1 because of all the awesome TV shows & movies available. Aside from that Pluto TV is hands down the ABSOLUTE WORST streaming service ever! There's the Constant freezing, the total system shutdowns, the way it will change the channels on its own, & the ad's!!! if they're not also constantly freezing, they're repeating over & over sometimes 4 or more times in a row! it's like they're trying to purposely torment us. You get what you pay for, & it's not worth it

When Im watching a program It will play for about 5 seconds then rewinds and repeats itself, then it skips forward to where the program should be so you miss everything in between. This happens nonstop through the entire program. Other than that.. It's a good app! PLEASE FIX THIS BUG!!! I've opened and closed the app, uninstalled it and installed again.. Nothing changes. I even watched my signal strength.. Nothing helps! I kinda want to delete the app. Anyone else have this issue???

DATA HUNGRY!!! This app is far from free. With no option to change video quality this app will DESTROY your data the first time you use it. Also, considering half your viewing time is spent on commercials, you're spending half of all the data used on adds. There are times when there's 3 or 4 minutes of commercials then 30 seconds of actual show then another 3 or 4 minutes of commercials again. That's 8 minutes of adds for 30 seconds of viewing actual shows.

If you would like to watch ads upon ads and more ads then feel free to download Pluto. I'm guessing that there are at LEAST a couple dozen of them in just one movie. In all truth, you will be watching more ads than the entire length of a movie. Oh wait! I forgot to mention the best feature of all. The ads freeze and you have to watch the ads all over again! ENJOY!

Only downloaded this to my phone to review from my experience with it on my TV. I wish the shows I was watching had more language/subtitle options but otherwise this goes hard. ads are a little long and frequent, but it's free even without an account. when you rewind behind an ad, the ad doesn't replay like on big name competitors. 5 stars for easy use, and fair ad experience.

The worst streaming app ui of any I've used. they all do the autoplay thing, it's awful and we all hate it. but my first time launching the app it's playing pulp fiction, the dungeon scene, while my young child is next to me. I just wanted to watch detective Pikachu. oh and the audio continues to play while you are using the search. maybe next time I try to watch something fun with my kid he'll get a nice clip from the silence of the lambs. great work!

I like the app when it works. I hate watching a movie/show and here them repeat the same line 5 times before it moves on. the constant freezing is ridiculous. I get the ads, thats what makes the app free, but seriously why so many! I've tried uninstalling the app and then installing it again, nope, didn't help. Please fix this or I will be removing the app from all of my devices.

Wow what a garbage streaming service. They embid ads into videos in a way that it extends the run time of a film beyond the runtime shown so once you're past the listed run time, you can't fast forward or rewind without getting kicked out of the movie. Then of course you have the excessive ad breaks every 10 minutes carelessly inserted midscene. Once I switched apps and got back to my scene, I sat through 7 ads only to get smacked with another 4 ads 90 second laters. Hardest of passes on this.

it is SO glitchy and randomly drops into the "Pluto tv" screen with the logo at the worst times in the middle of scenes, it will do it and then the show will play again for 30 secinds to a minute or so and then the black Pluto TV logo screen pops up again in the place of an ad. . . and when it starts to play again it doesn't pick up on the scene it left off on before the "ad break".. i do not mind ads at all but the ads should not be playing for longer than the show does.

The movies work most of the time, but watching a news channel is tough because it jumps around a lot or stops and starts frequently. 7/10/25 - it's annoying that they block some channels in order to get your email info. I don't want to get endless marketing emails. It's not worth it 😕 9/05/25 They still block my favorite channels, hoping I'll sign in with my information. So much for it being free to watch, I guess. 🤔

like I said you guys put on some really good movies. better than most apps for free. I can't take nine commercials in a row though. that's way too much. So I ordered Howdy app $299 a month no commercials..... like any other app or cell phone company when they're starting out they start out small the movies are good and they're only going to get better. I don't know why somebody didn't do this a long time ago rather than watching them damn commercials on apps.

The subtitles are way too tiny. Even when I have it on "Extra Extra Large" they are still too small. The subtitles also need to appear a inch higher and above the time bar but it does not. I understand they need ads but going to commercial every 8 minutes is disrespectful to the viewer. The commercial breaks are way too long too. When I have a video paused for awhile, it will go to another video. Stop doing that! Tubi does a lot of this stuff better than Pluto TV.

It glitches up way too often! While watching a show, it will repeatedly pause at random. Also, it will video pause while still audio playing. Then, the audio will stop, back up X amount of seconds, and replay until it catches up with where the audio and video are synced up. It does this randomly, but often! This is 2024, not 1974! If we're going to have this high fallutin level of technology, then dammit, it needs to work perfectly at least 99% of the time! If not, then it doesn't need to exist!

Best free streaming app out there. Easy to navigate. Well designed. Good content. Oh, and folks, before you criticize, try to remember, it's FREE! 8/24/24-Update-The app has become almost unbearable with ads. I'm close to uninstalling. You can't even go from one station to another without having to endure watching the same ad playing over and over. I for one can't take it anymore.

I am downgrading to 1 star because service has not changed, and my review was answered in a language I do not speak. WTH! The app started out great, but as of the past couple of weeks, I can not get it to play. I enjoy the variety and do not mind the commercials. Anymore, when I try this app, I get the same error message no matter the time, day, or night. "There is a network error." Funny thing is the network error only affects Pluto TV and none of my other streaming services. Big + for cable!

Really great app, especially for the price. I've only recently noticed some desync issues when watching episodes on demand, that weren't happening a couple of months ago, which is a bit of a bummer considering the ads all play just fine. Hopefully, it gets fixed soon. The live channels seem to play just fine though, so if you're not looking for on demand shows, no problems. I watch the hells kitchen and ink master channels personally, but they have plenty of options.
