better than spotify but the ad issue is problematic. Pop up ads that are nearly impossible to close make it hard to listen for any length of time. I have no issues with advertisements on a free ap but you have to pull out your phone and try over and over to close the ads every single time they pop up. Additionally the playback is often funky and parts of the podcast will repeat or be completely cut out.

It sucks battery life. It is difficult to delete individual downloads without deleting everything. Usually, it takes 20 seconds to FIND an ad to play on startup, then plays it. It often takes 45 seconds or longer to finally play the episode. I realize ads pay for "free" use, and I have tried and use some of the products. Honestly, make it easier to delete episodes. Shorten boot time. And do something about hideous power drain.

giant pop up ads cover the entire screen and you have to close the app, turn off wifi, re-open the app offline to get it to go away. makes the app un-usable. I'm pretty fed up living in an ad, and since every platform and is exactly that and exactly the same, I'm going to go back to physcial media and reclaim my life, my time, and real ownership over the media I pay for.

Constantly subscribes me to a bunch of random podcasts that I've never heard of and don't plan to listen to. Some days it lets me unsubscribe, some days I hit unsubscribe a million times and the podcasts remain in my subscription list. Only loads the podcast I'm listening to about half the time so the app is basically useless. I'm changing platforms, this is a waste of time.

Unfortunately I have to lower my rating of this app to one star. I would prefer to give it no stars. The ads have become obnoxious. Every time you do something in the app a full page ad blocks your access to the app. When you start a podcast a full page ad appears, if you pause the podcast another full page ad appears, if you restart the podcast another full page ad appears. It's a game of whack-an-ad.

I should give 5 stars since it's free but..no. Overall the app is good but some of the settings don't actually change anything. For instance, the full screen option doesn't work. Added goody, now the irrelevant ads are more aggressive. They trick you into thinking you can close it but x takes you to a website instead. Convenient but sneaky. Like everything else.

Works in a pinch but lacks many features I'm looking for, so I'm uninstalling. They automatically subscribe you to ten totally random podcasts with no easy way to unsubscribe. You can't search for individual episodes and there is no way to build a queue of selected episodes, which is crazy to me. You also can't mark episodes you want to listen to later. You can't quickly adjust the speed, you have to click through every single speed until you land on the right one. Annoying physical ads, etc.

Enjoy this app. Broad selection of podcasts to choose from. App interface is sometimes less than smooth to use, and things that seem intuitive, like playing the next episode don't always happen. Occasionally, the previous episode will autoplay. Seems to be related to how the podcasts are uploaded. All in all, it's a small annoyance for a great free product.

pretty good app. would like to see some changes, like playing podcasts from oldest to newest, but otherwise it's great. after using it for a few weeks now, it rarely if ever updates my podcasts with new episodes, even when I manually refresh, it often fails to update. it does not always auto play the next episode in the queue, it adds episodes to queue that I don't select and it's always whining about not having downloaded so it will use mobile data, as if I care. it's annoying and I may quit.

Thought this was a cool app, but the ads are too intrusive. I'm fine with some ads, but not the constantly changing ads while a podcast is playing. When I look at my screen, I want to see what podcast is being played, not a constant stream of ads. Plus, hard to believe it doesn't contribute to battery drain. I miss Google Podcasts. :( I'll be looking for an alternative.

What happened? Up until about a week ago this app was fantastic. I loved it and listen to podcasts every day! However, for a few days the podcast came in like they were speeding and now they are running very slow, like it takes twice the time. Are the programers aware of this issue? Thank you for your Speedy response! I reset the speed as you suggested in the email and it worked perfectly. I realize now that it was probably my fault for bumping the speed indicator by accident. Thanks again!

I recently changed podcast apps and this one works really well for me. But, because I don't know tech well and get frustrated when I don't know the tricks I didn't know how to get rid of the long list of episodes on each one that I had already listened to. Sent a quick message asking how, and got a reply in less than 6 hours. Ani was kind while teaching me, but the real amazing thing was that a couple of days later Ani reached out to make sure everything worked for me!

UPDATE 9/27/19: I used to love this app. I've used it for about a year but the recent bugs have changed my mind. Within the past week, this app has been constantly crashing. I always download the episodes so that I dont have an issue with buffering. However, even with the episode downloaded, it keeps on stuttering and crashing multiple times an hour. Often, it'll crash and turn off, however the audio comes back even if the app is not in use, forcing me to manually force close it.

App has (mostly) worked well for years, but recently the constant crashes have made it almost unbearable to use. It's not "if" but "how many times" will it crash per podcast episode (usually half a dozen or more, even when no other apps are being used simultaneously). Hopefully the issues are addressed soon & I can change my rating back, but I'm about at my wits end, & will be seeking another platform if it continues much longer.

This app crashes several times a day and there are so many ads. It is so frustrating when I'm listening to a podcast doing the dishes or something and it stops for no reason. I have to stop what I'm doing, find my phone, restart the app, wait for the ad, and finally restart the podcast. If I push pause on my headphones it almost never unpauses. I have to manually restart the player, WAIT FOR THE AD, and then continue listening. I'm over it. Uninstalled.

The app is great! The only reason this isn't 5 stars is because the app doesn't seem to allow for pausing from a Bluetooth device. It is a little strange because, if the player is paused, I can start playing from my aftershokz , but the same button doesn't pause. So if I am in the middle of doing something I have to get my phone out and pause on my phone in the app. Not a huge problem, but with everything else being really great it stands out as an oversight. If this is fixed, 5 stars 100%.

I have enjoyed this app for the most part. However, I have struggled to keep it from streaming and eating my data when I am playing back downloaded episodes. I have toggled every permission and setting I can find and poured through online forums in search of a solution, but short of turning off cellular data completely or putting my [Android] phone in airplane mode, it still eats my data. I am searching for other options and if this ONE [MAJOR] issue was fixed, I would stick with this app.

I have used this app for a couple years, but it would consistently use up all my data. In one month, it used over a gig of data trying to see if there were new podcasts available. This usage was not from downloading an episode over data, only seeing if new episodes were available. There was no way to limit this. Plus the ads are annoying. I finally decided to switch even though I liked the set up of the app. Fix that and I would conderside trying again.

The app crashes SO often when on Bluetooth, so much so that nearly every time I pause an episode I have to force quit, re-open the app, and wait through the ads in order to continue listening. Great outside of that but I mostly listen to podcasts through my car stereo while I'm on the road for work. Any time a call interrupts the episode I have to wait for the next traffic light to jumpstart the little bugger.

I really liked it at first but over time I eventually switched to another podcast app instead. The 2 main problems - aggressive, annoying ads. They are sometimes full screen pop ups as soon as the app opens, also any time you play a podcast there is a video ad running on the app. The other major problem is that if I pre-downloaded an episode it still streams the podcast using my data, which used a large amount of data in the background without telling me it is doing so.
