The commercials are loud compared to the podcast you are listening to, so they startle you and make you jump. The app also stops if you go to another screen to look at something else while you are listening or if you turn off the screen and want to listen to the podcast while the phone is in your pocket at the gym for example. So when you listen to it, you have to keep the app open with the screen turned on. The app has a lot of content and audiobooks in Spanish though, which I really enjoy.

$50/year to prevent unskippable ads before playing a podcast? Yeah. No. I'm a developer myself. I understand that app revenue is necessary. What's not necessary is $50/year (!!!). I don't mind paying for apps. I just don't want to be ripped off. I barely listen to podcasts! It's not worth $50/year for an app I barely use! I'd even consider a $10 lifetime "skip ads" payment, which I guarantee is more money than they'd every make from me by showing ads.

They have made it close to impossible to use it unless you have a pay plan. The app takes you in circles from one place to a another no matter where you tap. If it doesn't change I'll just uninstall it, as I have no interest in a pay plan and it absolutely looks like they're trying to make it so irritating that we end paying, which I have no intention of doing

I installed the app, went to a podcast I like and played it. After 10 minutes of back to back ads and the podcast didn't even start yet, I decided to uninstall and find a different app. I don't recommend ivoox, unless all you want to listen to are back to back ads *update*: I am now using 2 other apps, also free, and I do understand you need ads to support a free app. They also have ads in the podcast, but they are 2 minutes max! Not 10+ minutes like yours.

Excellent content, terrible app. Some downloads just won't start, and if you try to cancel the download it just stays stuck. Already changed the download engine from alternative to native and the other way around, but downloads keep getting stuck forever. This is a problem that started almost a year ago, with no signs of it being fixed. Don't know if they can't or won't fix it, but I'd really like that this app worked, but right now is useless.

Everything is great, especially the large history record that there's about nearly ever topic. I could only find one bug: when disconnecting the earphones (or Bluetooth), there's not auto pause, which is quite annoying. For my taste, that's the only bad thing on this great podcast player! :)

The app is very nice, but the owners are too greedy. I understand ads, but not that they need to track personalised information. The other option is to pay, but the monthly cost is definitely too much for a product that one can find for free in the appstore, like Antennapod, equally good, completely free and no tracking nor ads. Response to dev:you say "datos anónimos" but your legal agreement says "precise geolocation, personalised ads and identification through device" all of them mandatory

n 2019, I gave this app 5 stars and said I couldn’t live without it. Now, in 2024, I’m downgrading to 2 stars. The updates have made it frustrating to use—it randomly plays suggestions, often unrelated to my interests or repeats podcasts I’ve already heard. I use iVoox while driving, and now I have to pull over to manually select what I want to listen to. It used to play downloaded podcasts first, and when none were left, it would play suggestions. That was much more convenient.

Great content, marred by a terrible app. Advertising is downloaded live before an episode is played, which means a huge delay if the connection is poor, or simply being unable to play an episode, even if it has been downloaded previously. Settings for sorting episodes are not retained between sessions of the app, and the management of the played/unplayed status of the episodes is abysmal. Impossible to simply open the app and start listening to the next episode in a series.

iVoox has not been working properly on my phone in the last couple of weeks, failing to reproduce podcasts due to "lack of connection" when there was a good one, or endlessly lagging without never starting the reproduction. Can't rule out it's a problem in my phone, but as this is not happening with other apps, I thought I should report it. Other than that, I love this app.

The last update was a disaster. I don't know why do you have to update the app if the auto-deleting of listened episodes, auto-downloading of new episodes and setting of automatic downloads don't work anymore. This was a great podcast app and now it is not even the shadow that it used to be. Awful, terrible treatment to old users.

Well is been less than a month and I already have issues, there's a problem with the connection I tried on my other phone with the same results, sometimes you search something but nothing happen, and when you try to listen a podcast that I already did cause I saved it on my favorites, a message of error connection appear and it doesn't matter if you are with data or wifi, thanks anyway.

For some reason the app suddenly starts playing by itself when you had it in the background but paused. Is a fresh installation. Happened in Android 8, recently bought a new one with Android 12, where happens too. I can't imagine what can trigger the play in the app. Sometimes it is while you are watching a video in a web, others the mobile was all alone unused in a table and suddenly you hear a voice and is the podcast running. Maybe there's some limit of "in pause" time?

Incredibly expensive recurring subscription fees to bleed customers dry ad infinitum, without any possibility to purchase the software once and for all. There are functionally superior and better organised/structured apps that can be bought instead of rented, which is why this milkingware has been replaced with a better alternative and is now being uninstalled.

It is a great app. Highly recommended. The only but it is that when we select a list there is no way (at least I have not found the way) to add the list to the play queue in reverse order, this would be very useful when we add podcast where you need to have listen the oldest before the last update, When you try to update the rearrange the queue manually, then the advertisement, seems to make the process to hang. So the episode you try to move suddenly starts being played or no action at all happens. Thanks.

I am mostly disturbed about the lack of actual configuration in the way it plays different tracks. Why isn't it possible to just select to reproduce audio from a single channel?. Why after an audio about one topic, the next random audio is about sth completely different from a channel I haven't subscribed to or even visited before? It's really annoying to be honest.

Quite bad app (content is great though). Long lists are a pain to scroll. App starts to jump positions in the list, apparently random. Downloads might o might not actually download. Ads are not rotated. Compared with any of the podcast player apps on Android and iOS this is easily the worst, by far. Devs might be interested in native apps as opposed to what they're using now, which is effectively guaranteeing the worst experience across platforms. The content is the best than there's in Spanish

Despite having more available contents than any other podcast applications, iVoox consumes more battery than needed to reproduce an audio file. In particular, ads are CPU intensive and after a while, the phone overloads. Battery consumption is high. I keep in listening for the interest in the contents, but the application for me is intrusive and resource consuming

I wanted a player to listen to podcasts on and this app does it well. The option to skip back 10 seconds is very handy for when you miss anything. It's great for discovering new content and you can subscribe to podcasts for the latest shows via notifications. It's worth bearing in mind that the developers are Barcelona-based so there are quite a lot of Spanish language shows as well as Spanish text used in the app.

"listen to your radio without limits" is an ironical slogan for this scam app that wait until you like a podcast to cut it halfway and ask you to pay in order to be able to listen the other part. This app did even cut me some podcast that are anti-copyright and open source, and broadcast programs on free-radios. Why would you make me pay for something I can listen and download for free on the very personal website of the podcaster? If I wanna support a podcaster i can do it myself. F*cky*u!
