Portable Wi-Fi hotspot

So far, so good. I hate when Cricket plays Pick and Choose with the specific phones they allow hotspot access each month. One month your phone is on the list, next only iPhones or expensive phones are allowed. Your phone could have the feature in its settings, but they block you from using it. Sometimes apps allow you usage for free until they catch on to you then a message appears telling you to add it in you account, blah blah blah.

This app has been working well for many years. Recently it has started malfunctioning and acting weird. When I turn the hotspot off, it sometimes turns itself back on immediately. Not through the app but through my device. How I know is because I get a notification message telling me I have just been connected. I have the latest update version. Help needed.

Hotspot enabled on verizon unlimited data plan, set up all a go, works fine, runs all variety of devices, but there's no toggle or shortcut in samsung s7 for some inexplicable reason. Have to go into settings, etc., which is not convenient. Tried this app but it can't connect/doesn't recognize my credentials so I uninstalled. Don't feel too bad, it's a fate shared with other toggles I've tried so far. Still looking.

Very sad. Doesn't work anymore. Used to love this app back when I had my Samsung Note7. It was super handy to have a shortcut to turn on and off hotspot in the home page. Now it no longer works with my Note 10+ on Android 9 (Pie). I've updated the app to the latest version to no avail. I'm giving it some stars for the years that I was able to use it. Please fix the app to work with latest Samsung phones. Would happily give 5 stars if it is working.

Man, you all should know by now that unless your data plan includes mobile hotspot, downloading a hotspot app is totally worthless, period. Carriers are smart enough to know when their customers are using hotspot applications to turn their phones into wireless access points. There has yet to be an actual app developer to make a true hotspot app to get around a carrier's tethering check provision. Until that happens, things will remain the same, especially when it comes to a software update!

Used to be great, now non functional. Any attempt to set up hotspot says failed to save and failed to start like it just doesn't work at all. Maybe because I updated from Android 7 to Android 8? This app worked fine as recently as a few months ago, so I'm not sure what happened.

This was the first hotspot I downloaded today...I've had others in the path...this is just perfected...if anyone has a problem with this hotspot..it's them not the app...it's really easy to install easy to setup..easy to run...so if anyone has a problem with this app..it's them not the app...I have cricket...they won't shut your phone down..if they do it's because you don't have unlimited data usage like I do...there's some hotspots that eat up your data...I've checked my data usage..this app doesn't use much..those who are crabbing about the apps or can't see their hotspot they created...needs themselfs go back to school..even my 9mth old granddaughter could use this app without a problem. It's just that easy...easy to install easy to setup easy to run...so if your haven problems with this app...it's YOU not the app...

Well, from a benevolent heart i chose to give us another day for another chance to make some progress. Unfortunately we just cannot seem to pull it together. Yestetday afternoon the hotspot information we entered failed to save. This a.m. weve attempted twice,same problem. I mean this was YESTERDAY. no one seems to have made a call, email, fax..to get help to resolve the issue so we can move on and accomplish our goal. I need a HOTSP!So Iguess we will all just sit around &watch the cursor blink.

Don't download it's trash, program is unusable. Doesn't turn on wifi hotspot capability. But it's probably due to compatibility issues with my phone and the app. But still the developer's fault and issues should have been addressed as of this current update. Don't use.

It's easy to set up, but it doesn't work. I'm probably an idiot, and don't know what I'm doing, but I wanna play Papa's Freezeria, and I can't install it w/o internet. When I try to click save, it says "Set up Wi-Fi hotspot failed...", how do I fix that? I probably forgot a step, or did something wrong, but it's annoying man!!

I used to use Foxfi/PDAnet for my hotspot needs. Worked like a charm on my phones until recently when I got a Samsung Galaxy S7. Now it's not working and I'm trying to find a new app that will work. Portable Wi-fi hotspot has failed me in my mission to find a new hotspot work around. I'm guessing Verizon has finally found a way to stop the free hotspot apps floating around. Sucks that this app did not work like I wanted and needed. :(

I have an lg aristo on t-mobile network. Worked great to run my vizio smart tv for about a week. Now isn't working at all. Network shows up but no internet available. Not sure exactly what's going on but if this issue is fixed I'd be happy with it.

Me and my home buds wanted to play bombsquad , we have a smart tv but couldn't find the wifi hotspot ??? I don't know why... But how I knew my tv had wifi hotspot was when I started using ShareIt , coz shareit uses wifi hotspot,... We decided to use my phone as the screen and tree players , my cousin was like "check if there isn't a app that can help us" and yes for sure you this app helped us , all thanks to the developer ✌✌✌

It is giving me hopes of using this Wi-Fi because i am in need of it and i wish it works well for any network because i don't have any network when I go out side maybe in the restaurants so if it works I will continue rating it all the time because it will be making my calls or messages for me to use them for free

Unfortunately I have to say that the developers of this system have failed my expectations and disappointed me as this app does not function as it says it should and i even tried to find wifi by entering name however it was not there, Freinds don't fall into this lie. thanks

This app would not allow me to open. I had it installed once before and it worked perfectly, I'm not sure what's wrong, but it just says "unable to turn on portable hotspot"! Very disappointed!!! I even tried uninstling and reinstalling twice.

This app Sucks! I put in my SSID and password it says "Failed" This doesn't work at all! If you want to make a portable hotspot than make it instead of wasting people time I saw my internet off so I put it back on and tried it again it says "failed" and turn off my internet I put my hotspot on I tried again and it doesn't work this is a really bad app if I was able to give 0 stars I would this app Sucks...I'm sorry man

Using it on a Lollipop (V4.4.2) and it does not turn on my hotspot. The hotspot ifs configured and it says it is on, but when I got to my settings, the hotspot is still off. When it is on there is an icon in my menu across the top, but not there when I use this app. :(

I would have given a 5 star. I have used this app a long time with wonderful success but recently it stopped connecting to my devices. Tried everything. No success.

did not even work at all. tried to set up and got "Set up Wi-Fi Hotspot failed" there is no explanation on what the issue could be. I wish i hadn't of given this app and download. Avoid this app.
