If I could rate this a zero, I would. Not only does it not update in a few days, I have new classes, and it still hasn't updated into the new semester. This app is terrible, and it only works for a small percentage of people. Im surprised more people haven't been rating this app a one star aswell but then again, you can buy reviews to look good. Getting frequent updates on grades is extremely important, and for children in unfortunate situations, this could cause a beating at home.

This is the only way I can check my grades at home right now, so I rely on it quite a bit. Unfortunatly, it is quite bad. It always has a "syncing problem," and only shows my grades once (when I first open the app after downloading it), then continues to show those grades, even if they change. I have to delete and redownload the app each time I want to take a glance at my grades. This app sucks, if you have a computer, use that to check grades.

I tried this last year it worked fine. but when 2026 arrived. I was hit with may problem syncing notifications. I Uninstalld it and reinstalled it and it did the same thing. This app occasionally works but it sucks. For being in Middle School and having important grades I think that this app is a scam for more usage. Please help this app. I would like it to work properly.

the only reason I'm not giving this a one star is because I know it works. it worked wonderfully for the first two years of my high school experience (I'm a junior now), and now its having issues updating my grades like it has been. my phone or WiFi isn't the issue, it just doesn't connect properly. I do still get the notifications but I have to go to the website all the time to check what has changed and that's decently annoying when I want to quickly check my grade changes or missing work.

I thought it was that I was running the app sandboxed that was causing the problem but after reading the reviews and yes even after the latest update, my daughter's data is frozen in time. Mine still works (not sandboxed). It really doesn't like to operate without PlayStore access..why is that, how about you do your job and not worry about interrogation of the device? I give my kids secure devices, you don't get to dictate what I must use for my kids. I guess I will lobby for change.

Absolutely never works; for a while it just wouldn't even open to my school which was cool, but now it's fixed. Instead, it just refuses to be updated past a certain date. On the website, everything is fine and in order, but nothing on this app ever works, though it tells me when my grade changed through a notification. But it doesn't even matter because when I open the app it doesn't actually show any of my grades!

Every time I go in to check my grades, it gives me a "Problem Syncing" error and never actually updates my grades. The only way I can "fix" this is if I clear the app's data through my system's settings and sign back in again, but even then, this issue STILL persists. The app only works for a day before giving me the error message. Reinstalling the app doesn't seem to work, either. If you plan on checking your grades regularly, just use the website.

Ever since I downloaded power school to keep track of my grades and attendance from my phone, it has been a bit buggy, but nothing I wasn't able to fix on my own. But recently I tried going on there, and it showed very outdated grades and even had the wrong quater we were in. I tried fixing it the way I usually do, but nothing. So I emailed them stating my problem, and I got an automatic email back saying that they weren't going to fix it and go to your school's IT, which my school doesn't have.

I love it *when it works*. Unfortunately, that seems to be rare. It still sends me notifications, but when I go into the app to check them, they won't show up. For example—I just received a notification about my final grade being posted, but it wouldn't show up when I clicked into the app. I love Powerschool, but having to constantly delete and re-download it is so frustrating.

Everytime I get a notification that a grade hades changed, I open it, either via the message or through the app. But I get the notification that it "had trouble syncing" and won't update my grades. I would really appreciate this being fixed!! It's so useful for my school work, and my parents grade checks, so I need it! It used to work, so I'm confused on why it's not working.

Feb 2026: Everything I wrote still applies. I hate it. oct 2025:The update is useless if the app can't be used. It takes forever to load, or doesn't load at all and crashes out (wifi or cellular use). I still can't get notifications. Every time I hit back, the page goes to full reload and then fails out. Also give me the option to leave my selection to a client semester and not the full year every time I open the app, I have to change it and wait for it to load.. again.

As a parent who is always keeping in touch with teachers, I have been locked out for weeks. It always gives an error code when logging in. The staff told me to make a new account which I did but once confirmed by email it still gives an error code. It accepts my log in, loads like its going to the main page then says "error somwthing went wrong." This is by far the worst app for parents to use.

App has worked fairly well up until this year. Anytime grades do not properly update, I've only ever had to sign out and then sign back in. For whatever that no longer works. Even after updating the app, the grades still will not update after signing back in. I've had to uninstall and then reinstall the app for grade information to update. The website is not convenient to get to or use, but if this issue doesn't get fixed it will no longer be worth my time to keep it.

Lot of people are saying "It logs me out, and It never loads", which never happens to me, the only thing that happens is that the grades never update!!!!!!! I check on the app because it's easy to navigate but it never updates so I need to go to the browser. Which is so annoying because you can't find the student login unless you go to your schools website and click it on the resources page, and second you need to log in EVERY TIME YOU ACCESS THE BROWSER!! Please fix these issues ASAP!!!

It's okay, but sometimes the notifications don't work properly, or it doesn't update my grades and tells me I have no classes this week, but when that happens, I delete and reinstall the app, which means I have to sign back in again, but it works and updates it properly after. But never had any issues with it on Chromebook, it's just the mobile app, which works, is just a little buggy sometimes. Edit: Dropped it down to two star, have to delete every time a grade changes to see the update

I'm having difficulties logging into the PowerSchool app, even though I can access the website with the same email. The app displays an "Access blocked: Authorization Error" message. I've tried clearing the cache, reinstalling the app, but it still won't work. Additionally, I have a suggestion for improving the user experience. There should be an option to choose which email address to use when logging in.

This app is ok, but there are a couple of things that need to be fixed. First, it takes a very long time for the grades to update in the app after we get a notification. I have to keep going into and backing out of the class over and over before it will even update. Second, I keep getting progress emails every single day. When I go to try to change email notifications in the app, it'll just spin and spin forever but never change the setting. Please fix this!!!!!! I hate those emails!

Used to be great! It showed my kid's attendance, tests, and grades easily and I could see if he was falling behind. For the past 3 weeks, it just says "unable to connect to server" whenever I try to refresh or open anything. All I can see is info from over a month ago. It doesn't do anything other than show that error. 100% useless now.

I have been using the Powerschool app for several years. Loved it! Not anymore. The update does not work well. Sometimes I can switch between my kids, sometimes I can only access one or the other. I will get notifications of grade updates, but the app doesn't reflect what the notification says. Or, I can't even access the child's that the notification was for. When it works I really like it. Unfortunately at this time it functions incorrectly more often than correctly.

It could be a very helpful app, but there are some flaws. I frequently get notifications one after another changing grades drastically. I think sometimes assignments are automatically graded an F when they're entered into the system for a future date, but no scores are entered yet. It just seems like there accuracy could be improved, whether that has to do with changing the code or aiding the user in the way they enter the data. Update: Now the app won't sync at all.
