So many times when checking if I have won for my and my partner's account, it will say that an error has occurred and to try again. Whenever I select try again (after long periods of time too) it won't fix itself. I have to completely uninstall the app, and then go through all the verification processes for adding an account all over again which is very tedious for an app you only really would use once a month. Very unreliable and needs fixing. Great concept. Oppo A52 latest OS android.
Works really well, look forward to the "reveal" every month! Unfortunately I've had to edit this review to reflect the fact that they broke it, and now it's not possible to complete the PIN entry process, you can type in a PIN for it to remember and then you have to confirm it, but the confirmation PIN entry refuses to accept any keypresses so biometric can't be enabled. It used to be that you use fingerprint etc to reveal the results, now the reveal is no longer protected by PIN or biometric.
Nice idea but I'd want a bit more security such as a confirm account using ns&i stored data, a close app button or a close after 5mins. don't like having to wait for an image of a girl to load. why swipe sideways to see all bond wins then scroll down for a summary ... do it the other way round please. I'm wary of the share button being too much in your face.. sharing finances is a no no for me. I'd like to see this as an option in a settings section along with display a congrats image or not.
Something's gone wrong"message. "Try again" This app used to work fine. I was told there is no problem with the app but can see on the outage diagram there are lots of reports of this being down. I've been told it could because i am viewing at peak periods.Been trying for over 7 hours and still getting the same message. Use to be good and results came on at midnight the day due. Frustrating.
Not having any issues being mentioned in the other reviews but surely this app could double up as a place to add more savings as well checking if you have won? Can't believe in this day & age that in order to add more more cash I have to log in on an internet browser and then locate a number for my login that is so obscure I have to have written down in another app so I can either remember it when needed or copy and paste.
The new September update has completely messed my account up, it asked for a 4-digit pin number, when mine is 5 digits! Needless to say, I can't log in to the app! My only option was to reset the thing, which removed ALL of my details and numbers, so now I've got to spend an eternity looking for paperwork. Calling customer services is no help either, I get shoved in a corner, on hold. It's like hell, without the sin. I give up!
This app is pretty cool for checking the results instantly on draw day rather than waiting much longer for a notification mail. I like the way it reveals your winnings (if you have any of course) one by one in ascending order after the little gif. It definitely adds to the fun 😁😁😁
Having read a number of reviews I had second thoughts about installing it but decided to give it a try. It worked fine listing the prize amounts for the latest draw. I added my wife and my mother-in-law and they all worked fine as well, no adverts, so at this moment no problem. All I had to enter were the NS&I number for each person and set it for the 5 digit pin and biometric which was not difficult. Logged in several times using the biometric without difficulty.
Stopped working this week. What is the problem? Receiving "Something's gone wrong message". Also, unable to speak to an actual human on the so-called helpline. Totally useless!!!! Fixed it myself by reloading the app. Unfortunately that means having to reload my NS&I number and details for other family members.
Gone down hill, last couple of times tried to log on, getting message "somethings gone wrong" can't access prize draw, have to log on to website, which is a real pain. Read a previous review about reinstalling, which works. Shouldn't have to do that. Fix this bug!
Very often gives "an error occured" message but going into Android Settings->Apps->PremiumBondsChecker and clearing the cache seems to make it work (but need to do this quite often) Other than that, I keep getting the error message saying "no prizes this month" don't seem to be able to correct this one ;-)
Been working fine for months and months Have got 3 holders numbers on the app. Over the last 2 draws one of the numbers comes up with same message other people are getting "try again", unfortunately I have to uninstall and reinstall the app to get the results up. Also it asks if you want to set up a pin. You can enter a 5 digit pin but then it doesn't allow you to enter the number again to confirm it.
Limited function app showing whether you won or not. Needs to display at least the basic information: how many bonds held and their value, in order to be useful. Even bond purchases can be made easy, by enabling the purchase of new bonds through the app. Developers can and should do more in order to make the app of any use. I gave the extra star for at least letting me know if I win any prizes.
I do find it more than a little depressing that NS&I seems unable to provide a robust app that works consistently and reliably from month to month. Faced regularly with the brick wall of 'something's not working', I discovered that 'all' you have to do is reinstall the app. Ye gods!
Disappointing: two months running I get an email saying I've won, yet this app says I haven't. In fact the email was correct. And while I can just about remember an account number, having to recall the very long bond holder's number isn't on. NS need to take a look at highly rated sites and look at success to build something worth bothering with.
Worked fine for a few months, but now stuck on the "sorry, there was a problem" error. Update: now opens, but just told me that I didn't win anything this month even though I did! For such a basic app, it's now failing at the only thing its meant to be able to do!
A good app to check prizes. I think it shows a 6 month history. But thats it really, I can't fault this as it works! But..... I'm unsure why this app is limited to checking prizes though. Personally, I would rather have the NS&I app with the capability of checking my account, withdrawing etc. Most banks etc offer this, so it would be good if NS&I could try and extend their ability. I feel they are a bit 'behind' compared to others in this field, technology wise, and need a full app!
Just tried to put money in and it took 2 and 1/2 hours. Can't actually do anything on the app then apparently my Internet isn't safe. Finaly get to he point I can add more money in and have to try that 4 times before it works. "Leave the website to approve your transaction" Leave the website to approve the transaction. Go back. "Because you left the website we have had to cancel the transaction." You TOLD ME to leave the website!
This app hasn't been working for me since January 2023, I've uninstalled it a few time's, They say they are aware of the issue, but how long does it take to fix. Every month it says I haven't won better luck next time, then I get an email a couple of days later stating I've won.
Used to be fine. Now, I can log in but on the draw date I get "RESULTS NOT YET AVAILABLE". So does my wife on her separate account. The draw results are there on the website, just not on the app. 02/03/24 - now just constantly getting "something's gone wrong". ** Still the same a day later. Uninstalled it now. Life's too short
