Gets the job done but very clunky UX. I order the same thing every day from the same shop and I need to scroll through a large list of shops every day to find the right one, then multiple clicks to place the order. Too many clicks. There should be a re-order feature prior to selecting a shop that just orders from the last one you ordered from.
Relatively good app, but fails at a basic level. The app consistently logs me out and I have to re-login, this is normally in the queue to order/pay. As a result, if service isnt good, I cannot login to the app in time. It is enormously frustrating. I cannot also save my QR code to google wallet - rendering any attempt to use the app pointless. One of the main advantages of an app, is that it can give customers an ability to use it without going online. A "prety" useless app!!

The app sucks! I have it on two different phones and everytime I try to order ahead I get the "Uh Oh! Something went wrong" message. It is not with just one particular store either (I mean I can understand a morning rush might keep them from turning on the mobile orders) it's multiple close-by stores (I'm in Manhattan). If I wanted to wait online to order, I wouldn't have downloaded the app. *sigh
This app is atrocious and seems to get worse with each update. Right now it crashes upon submitting an order, with the order stuck in my account even after I clear cache. Also, every time I open it tells me "Pret is closed for ordering" until I reopen it, and it starts me off in the wrong city. On top of all that, it has random "something went wrong" bugs constantly. Fire this app team and get another one already. We are paying for this service and not receiving it.
All of sudden, the app shows that the version is no longer supported, but there is no any updates in Google Store. I just bought the subscription... === New disappointment: how it can be possible that ALL drinks are not available to order?? Food is available , the location is open.
This app often fails at its main purpose - allowing a digital 'wallet' QR code to be scanned at the till (regardless of whether there is an internet connection or the app is up to date). Today I was told by the till operator that my app is not up to date (it is, I checked the version numbers on Play Store vs the app version and they match). Other establishments can get this right - why not Pret?
Pret keeps making changes to this app over the years it seems. The club pret £5 per month for half price drinks (5 per day) is useful if you regularly go to Pret and want a quick pick me up. However now you can't earn stars for one drink unless you add another item. It would be quite handy if you could also see your transactions to track your spending.
This app is a 'not fit for purpose' nightmare that doesn't even deserve the one star! I've lost count of the number of times I've tried to use the app just today only for the Captcha widget to fail every time. Why is this app still offered on the Play Store? Come on Pret, invest in a new fit for purpose app for your customers.
verifying just keeps looping i have tried to download this app on different phones does exactly same thing so a waste of time
Buggy app, doesn't reliably store the credentials. You have one job, which is, once signed in for the first time, store my credentials so that I don't have to sign in again. My pret account has a long complex password which, once initialised on the app, does not belong in my head. Don't ask me to sign in ever again, at least till I replace my phone. Also, the app is slow to start, and doesn't cache the QR code. So it's frustrating when I'm in a queue and with poor reception.
I have been back and forth with customer service for several weeks about my stars not adding on. I thought the issue must be on my end until I started reading the reviews here. Not once have customer service admitted there is a technical issue with the app. I now see it is clearly a common issue. Not only this, but I am also reading how others have issues opening the app in store. This happens to me but I thought it was the location of my store. Come on PRET, fix your app!
Works great and it's the best subscription around. Would be great if it could tell you when you've reached 30 minutes so you know when to order again. I use my phone timer when I remember.
I'm on attempt number 5 of trying to resolve sign in issues with customer services. App notifies me my phone number needed updating, app won't let me update, customer services tells me it'll be resolved in 48 hours but we keep going round in circles. I've paid for my subscription & haven't been able to use it or been given a refund for over a month. I used to use Pret almost daily.
Really not good. keep being logged out, then when I try to log back in I keep getting an error message. stars also don't always register with a purchase so I don't get the perks when I should. The latest update has completely messed up the app. I can't get into it at all now.!! Here we go again! same problems. Just not fit for purpose.
I use this app 2-3 times a week, but I get logged out at least once a week. This wouldn't be a problem but the login process is a nightmare—password entry, then a captcha, which I have to complete not once, not twice, but three times before even knowing if my password is correct. I have less trouble logging into my online banking app. Pret should utilise biometrics like most other apps.
I've been trying to create an account and sign in from the mobile app for 2 days now. No luck. The app freezes at the stage when I enter the code sent to my mobile. I managed to create an account from my laptop, direclty on the website. But when I try to log in through the app, it freezes and doesn't let me log in. I can open my account on the website but cannot subscribe to pret club and discounts there. It has to be through the app only, which is not working.
The app is not suitable for subscription users. Probably 60% of the time if I have no data or no WiFi (especially coming out of a tube or underground station) then I can't load the app to access the QR code. The previous method of email was much more reliable. At least once a week I'm stood at the front of the queue waiting for the app to load. This needs to be updated with an offline solution, or go back to a simple email / picture of the code.
Absolutely awful, always logs you out and then you stand there awkwardly infront of the staff and you end up saying sorry for prêts rubbish app. I'm sure these developers get paid enough to make an app work, well in this case it doesn't work.
Frustrating app that takes ages to load (not ideal for a busy coffee queue), insists on a very long password and then logs you out regularly and doesn't auto fill from saved passwords. The subscription is good value given how expensive coffee and food has become, but has really changed the atmosphere in a lot of Prets - staff and customers seem fed up, and stuck in a timewarp, offering the same food and drinks as 10 years ago, while other brands have moved on and offer more innovative choices
Pointless little app. It only installs on the device with phone number that's on your account; except... you can temporarily put your SIM in as many devices as you want and install the app on any device that you put your SIM in (app carries on working on multiple devices after you take your SIM out); but why do that, when as a workaround you can just take a picture of the qr code and add it to your Google wallet instead (the qr code doesn't change). Etc, etc, etc...
