I'm assuming it is working properly, but it's never blocked anything I can recall. Biggest issue I have is it's constantly disconnecting on me every 30-45 minutes when using my phone. If pausing more than 20 minutes it locks up, needing a reboot. YouTube and websites are it's issue, it disconnects all the time which makes me reboot Torguard in order to continue what I was researching or watching. Also, it will automatically lock my computer requiring a system reboot if I let it go to idle.

User for 2+ years. App frequently & consistently disconnecting & having connection errors, especially on phone app, on every android phone I have used it on and even on factory reset phones. A bit more stable on Linux & Windows, but still disconnects at random intervals and doesn't reconnect autimatically. App allows internet passthrough even when set to block all connections and it also shows your actual location to websites, regardless of where the server. App version not updated in 2+ years.

Every time I try to connect to the VPN, I would have to sit there and go through every US server to see which one connects, even one that worked the day before. I have to spend at least 5 minutes to do this. I don't have this problem with their desktop app on my Windows laptop, so the problem must be this app. Once my subscription is up, I might go for another service that has better Android app support. That's too bad because the service and speed are good.

It's a pretty good VPN but quite a bit more expensive than most, and you have to pay significantly more on top of that if you want to use streaming services from other countries as without the specific streaming add-on you are blocked by Netflix, Amazon, Disney+, etc. If they make the add-on standard or drop the base price significantly I'd probably give 5 stars, but as it is those are fairly significant drawbacks. You do get better and more low-level settings than most any other VPN I know of.

Great VPN/Proxy. I'm sure many folks can do just as good of a job manually, but if you don't have the time, knowledge, or desire to do so and keep up with it, this is a wonderful alternative. It is a pay service, but the purchase options are robust. Can get features piece meal or in bundles. I went with a hefty features bundle with 5 connections for only $19/three months(quarterly). Has nice Chrome and Firefox extensions too. Highly recommend!

Perhaps it is time to consider 2 versions of this APP. I upgraded to the latest. What I found was it constantly disconnected. I also had fewer choices in servers. 😧 I was using an older version and it stopped working. Maybe a change in the servers? I downgraded the new version to a version in between. Before this. I can connect to more servers easily and stay connected for hours. A must as I'm working in China. Everyone does not have the latest Android. Some due to older devices or just choice. The NEW androids always change so much that's why I keep older app versions. The apps updated for NEW android won't work well on older devices that haven't been updated. It's time for a Torguard app aimed at perhaps Android 6 and down. Then one at 7 and newer. Simple as that. Your new app seems not to work on my older android version.

Extremely poor service. Most servers will not connect, regardless of their geographical location. I am so not renewing my subscription.

The company and service is excellent. Minus a star for the app. There is no in-app help explaining what each setting means. There is no link in the app to a website. Torguard doesn't even have a manual online or it's so well hidden I couldn't find it. Several "how-to's" for most commonly used settings is not a manual. It's unreasonable to ask me to contact tech support to have them explain what every switch in the settings actually does. No manual in easy reach is very strange indeed.

edit: still baffling how terrible this app is. Zero reliability - it'll disconnect silently after saying it's connected. I can't imagine a worse flaw to have in a security product - it says you're secure but you're not... Worst app experience ever. I write software for a living and I cannot comprehend how these releases make it through even basic QA. The app freezes when connecting/disconnecting, and has for a year. The desktop app does the exact same thing.

Most importantly, it stays connected. I wanted faster, it was seemingly slow at 1 to 2 MB per sec, I have a 200mbps connecting... Finally did a speed test, 100+ mbps! They cannot control others' upload speed or others internet throttling. A negative, I wish the app would would do anything to let you know that it stopped protecting the connection, it does not disconnect the network, it does not shut down an app, it merely puts a faint slash on its notification icon, revealing all information.

I had to clear the cache and data in order to be brought to a login screen. And once I entered my credentials, it just shows a loading screen (rotating loading circle) and never actually logs me in. Until this is fixed the app is completely useless. If it's not fixed by the time my billing cycle ends, I'll be finding another provider. This service has continually gone downhill in the last year, with random disconnects and reconnection issues.

After updating to the latest version, every morning I wake up to all 5 of my updated instances disconnected. I have to manually intervene and disconnect, wait a few seconds, then reconnect. This isn't acceptable, doesn't happen on the non-updated instances, and if not quickly patched I'll have to change to a more reliable product. I wish I could back out of the update...

Initially I gave it a 5 star but I had to change it not due to the app not working but the bad experience I've had with them and their support. Its been 4 months since I notice my fixed ip (strictly for streaming) stoped working and I still have no solution from them. I contacted support 4 months ago and again every few weeks but they tell me they don't have any ip available

Trying to connect across the servers of Europe is a slog. It sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Sometimes it just detects until you disconnect and force close the app or sometimes it decides today it's going to work. It's pretty frustrating.

The UI gets progressively worse with new app updates. The proximity sorting option is now broken. I'm in the US and for some reason it's telling me that S Africa or New Zealand are faster than anywhere in the Americas. No way to tell if the top of the list is fastest or slowest. But if I filter by region, it shows the farthest cities at the top. Counterintuitive

I have used Torguard on my PCs, Android devices, and iOS/iPadOs devices for at least 2 years, and have never had any significant issues. Ping times are good, especially for FULL-on complete VPN, and speeds from nearby servers are almost always at least 25 Mbps & often significantly higher... 50-75+ Mbps is not uncommon. Customer service has always been very good as well. I am very happy with Torguard and have no intention of leaving unless things change. Keep up the great job Team TG!

Used TorGuard for more than 7 years now. Very reliable and fast. LoTs of servers across the world. Very good customer support and affordable. I just wish they have more servers in AU. Only 1 in Sydney but i would highly recommend this platform and also they have improved their Android app. Now its very user friendly. I have used their desktop software on PC, Laptop, Apple also no disconnections or very rarely. Try and see for yourselfs. A+

When it works, it's fine. Recently though, it refuses to auto-connect and when I go to do it manually, it will only give me the login screen. When I try to login, it just spins infinitely. To only way to make it work is to delete all storage data and re-login every time. It will drop connection without warning on the same network as well as any time I change networks. I might as well use a cardboard tube as my VPN; it'd be more reliable and cheaper. Go get Mulvad or another real VPN.

TorGuard's VPN service is very efficient and affordable. Lots of servers to choose from. The app itself does not consume much battery and doesn't heat my phone at all. I personally like using this VPN when playing games ridden with ads that pop up every second because it has an option where you can block ads on apps you want. Unfortunately, it isn't compatible with Netflix. But overall, my experience with this VPN service is great.
