The app works and it works well, the only reason why I removed 2 stars is because you need to (at least in my experience) deal with a bunch of ads before you can use the app. It wouldn't be a problem if the opening apps didn't take up my whole phone screen at the beginning.

I'm not sure how it happened: I was just notified by Google Play that I was billed about 30 pounds for a "subscripition" to this app. I do not remember having subscribed. Accidentally? Perhaps, but then there must have been a trick. I hope I can get a refund, as not even 24 hours have passed after the purchase. I could not find any menus in the app to check about any "subscription."
The app immediately opens the final Google Play confirmation dialog for a yearly subscription on launch, which could lead to an accidental purchase with just a single tap.
Save yourself the grief and don't download this. I opened this app after having not used it for months and when I did, the app immediately had a pop up to sign up for a subscription. I ended up accidentally pressing it while trying to make it go away and accidentally subscribed. Unsubscribing took going into my google management settings and of course, they do not offer refunds. It's quite an underhanded way to get money from people... Be careful about stuff like this, folks.
I love it! but... i didn't really get to use it, because i didn't think it was nessesscery for what i needed, I needed it because when I bought my PS4 it came with a QR code so i thought I'll get a cool new game or PSN for a year, or something like that, but it was just a website. -THIS IS A REAL RESPONSE, even tho saying that makes it seem fake, well whatever.
Perfectly adequate. It's a QR reader. It can scan saved pictures for the code as well as through the camera and read well defined QR patterns. I have not had any issues with the app and it performs as expected. There has never been an instance where it could not read a perfectly clear QR. If a QR is not clear, it's good that it can't read it as QRs are highly specific in their design and reading a blurry one may result in inaccurate information displayed. In that respect, pickiness is good.
This has been my go to app for QR codes for a few years now. I don't want a massive app, and i don't want to be overcome by adware bordering on being a virus. This does the job adequately and consistently... so it still gets installed as standard. I might even cough up a few pennies to rid the annoying ads. But I'm thankful they haven't made the app unusable. Thanks to the dev for keeping that balance.
Your money please! The first thing when you start this app, is asking for money (subscription)!!! So you can imagine when you need to scan a QR code fast, get your phone, on this app, and BAM! Brilliant move by the developer! Was 5 star because it was small, very straight forward simple and easy to use. BUT! NOT anymore! And after encounter the smart move, I'm not going to use anything from this developer. Thank you for the previous 3 years of great services!
Wondering why you can't open your apps? Unresponsive screens? Is my phone slowing down or hanging? Having the weird urge to throw your phone? Running your av 3 times in a row and getting nothing? Wait a few seconds..fullscreen ads pop-up! *clapping sounds* Ads pop-up even when you're not using the app and even when you are using another app..
A ton of ads. Load qr reader, dont go to fast or you will purchase something. After the ad loads if your lucky scan away if not another ad. Ok fine two ads before using app fine what ever scan the qr code. If tour fortunate it takes you to a web page. If my luck another ad. Three ads before using the app doesnt sit well in my gutt. I will still use since out of 5 other qr reader apps this is the more efficient one so far. Still looking for a better qr reader with less ads.
I expected to be able to use it right after installing- in a bit of a hurry. Four ads kept me from using it... you know, the tricky ones- with the tiny, tiny X in the upper corner that you have to hit just right to get it out of there, but ends up opening instead. Closed and re-opened a few times- no help. Don't waste your time...
Does what it's supposed to do. The ads are a little intrusive. Editing this review 4 years later because I opened it and was immediately served an ad posing as a request to update the app, then another intrusive ad posing as as a system message about a minute after I dismissed the first one. The ads in this app are out of control and I don't need it anymore when my camera app can do the same thing without blitzing me with ads that want to install who-knows-what onto my device.
This does what I use it for. Nothing to compare it with, but never have any problems, crashes, etc. Just point my phone at a code and it takes me where the code leads. Quick to focus in and I don't have to be super still or particular with distance, it reads the code before I can get a chance to perfect the view.
Very good. Ads is not bothering the experince at all. It detect qr code, bar code, at lightning speed. Seriously. Use this and forget the rest. I think that those who have negative experiences with this app may actually have a problem with their camera, not the app. To quick a focus change or lack focus can impact detection imho. So far for me, using a cheap Huawei Nova 2i, it reads code excellantly. The best so far. Simple and useful.
No nonsense qr scanner app with minimal ads. Many other apps will show you ads between scanning, making successive scanning very slow. This app can also scan qr code from photos in an intuitive way. They have a history function if you want to see what you have scanned, and can make a history.CSV file if you need it for some reason. Good app, recommended.
I used to have this app and it would take me to the site when i scanned a code. I needed it again recently so i downloaded it again. Now it does nothing when it scans and there's no option to go to the site, just options like search, ad, share, copy and send. Doesn't actually show you the site where the code is supposed to send you, or give you the option.
This app does what it says on the tin! The only thing that really bothers me is that any written copy is full of weird grammar issues. Whoever made this app obviously cares about its functionality, but then when I see grammatical errors I feel like the product has been slapped together, when I know for sure it hasn't been. Come on, you guys, if you gave every aspect of this app the attention it deserved it would be perfect.
I love it! but... i didn't really get to use it, because i didn't think it was nessesscery for what i needed, I needed it because when I bought my PS4 it came with a QR code so i thought I'll get a cool new game or PSN for a year, or something like that, but it was just a website. -THIS IS A REAL RESPONSE, even tho saying that makes it seem fake, well whatever.
Very difficult to get an appointment and when you do the level of treatment is poor. Paid £270 for a filling that lasted less then 24 hours. Booked a follow up to get it replaced only to get a temporary filling and have to book a 3rd appointment. Unfortunately they have bought up most of the other dentists in the area so no choice but to continue with them. Too much focus on cosmetic private work and not enough on general dental health.
This app was free when I downloaded it many years ago. I go a few months between uses. I tried to use it today and it wants money‽ Really? Like there aren't at least 4 dozen actually free qr code readers out there. Can't stop laughing. Utter malarkey
