Confirming as another user says that the app will not take my payment to become ad-free. I've used this app for years when it was free, but the older versions were 32-bit only. I'm willing to pay for it, but currently cannot. I noticed one of their domains haven't been renewed which may be part of the problem. Also, for the dev, you shouldn't advertise this as free+no-ads on your website if it is no longer true.

QR scanning good, adverts dangerous. It scans codes, saves history and shows you the URL so you can choose whether to click through. The ads bar often contains ads that look like you're opening a QR code and if you click it and your browser is in default, the scripts executed on the webpages can either download malware or try and use payment methods stored in your browser to scam you out of money. If you choose to use the free version, be careful!

Love this app, I've been using it for years. I decided again that it's time to purchase it, but all I get is an error message saying "ERROR Transaction declined." It's definitely not my bank, I've purchased many apps through the Google Play Store. Other than not being able to get rid of ads, this app does everything I'd ever want or need from a QR scanner. Fix the payment issue and it'll be 5 stars.

I don't know how many years passed since I had installed this app, many years and phones... It has worked flawlessly. Only problem, in fact not exactly a problem, I can tell is they hid image qr code scanning under two menus. First you tap "options" , then "more" in order to access this feature. It should be on the homepage.

Clicking back would take you back to the app, not the desired web page. Multiple tries yielded the same result. If you can't get to the web page you want, then there is no point to using this app.

Since a long time already I have had the issue that, whatever option I select to be the default action when opening the app, it always goes to the recent files. I just want a qr reader to start by showing the camera, I really don't care about creating QRs or going to previously scanned ones! This app became immensely more feature full, but in my opinion, unnecessarily so.

Using this for years and always been reliable. Especially so in the current COVID environment where shops require QR code reader registration to eat in. I'd pay to remove ads but the pay option keeps getting declined. I know my info is correct. I see others have had similar issue. Doesn't matter in the end as will keep using even with ads

Love it . Im using a older version cant wait til the new one comes out. :update encoder is no longer functional and donation is not going through.. Google play told me to contact the app developers for the donations and the number gave to me was a unusual one I'm a bit confused

took my money! I did not want to order eny membership or anything. what was said to be a verfication and not cost anything, took 59euros from my bank account. no means to unsubscibe or contact anywhere. horrible scam. i feel so stupid for falling in it

I'm trying to pay for REMOVING ADs (want to only remove Ads Without donation). Error comes like "TRANSACTION WAS DECLINED." I have sufficient balance in Google play wallet, Have latest versions of App & Play Store. I tried clearing cache & data of App, Pay Store & Play Services, Tried Restarting the device, Tried uninstalling & reinstalling the app, Tried to purchase from my another device, Tried to purchase from my friend's account... NOTHING WORKED. there seem to be some problem in app. HELP!

This app works great. Came back to using it for my scanning needs - Google lens needs an internet connection which I don't always have. Plus there's more you can do with scanned codes in this app. Useful clock widget/app shortcut too! Thanks devs!

Good little utility but the colour scheme of lime coloured text on white background for the result of a canned QR code makes for very poor readability. This should have been changed a long time ago, that, or a setting provided to allow the colour to be changed. Talking about colours, it's about time the app supported dark mode.

Hands down my go to QR app for quick scans while going about my my day. The best feature for me is the widget with multiple options in a small square. But the more advanced options within the settings are also why I support this app.

I prefer this app but could only give it 4 stars because it always fails to read a particular QR code even though it is large, clear, and has no reflections. So I have to use another app for this one place. The problem I see is that the code is grey with black text although the other app is not so fussy and just works. Fix that and it'll be a 5 star app then.

I installed it. It no longer worked brilliantly anymore. It used to be fantastic but it didn't seem to recognise products and there was no feedback to say that a product could not be found.... it just did nothing. It's an out of date app.

Allows advertisers to mislead you into downloading apps you don't want. How? Use QR to scan a code for another app you want, and a big green box with the word "DOWNLOAD" appears. But it is actually a link for the advertiser's app that you don't want. Below that in practically invisible letters is a link to a website, with no instructions. That's the link that has the app you want. Most consumers are going to get roped into downloading AND REGISTERING for the app they don't want, then AFTER giving away their private information, try to use the unwanted app and find it is not what they wanted. Too late - the advertiser has the consumer's info and has tricked them into downloading its app. The advertiser profits, QR Droid profits, and the consumer loses. And the consumer usually thinks that it's their own fault - that they could have clicked the correct link if only they paid more attention. IMHO: BS. The app is designed to fool the average consumer and then avoid accountability.

Not sure if this will get read by the developers, but... This app is in serious need of updates, especially the code scanning engines. They won't pick up any code that has been affected by jpeg artifacts.

Fabulous app! Make or decode QRs. Scan many types of codes, too! Barcodes, etc. The wifi plugin is great - make & print wifi access QRs. Handy! Used this for 3+yrs now and never a single problem (Andrd v8-12!).

The setting for default start screen should have an option for a menu page, something that the older version (qrdroid private) allows. Not everyone wants to start the app into active camera for privacy sake, let people have a choice in a main menu or landing page.
