A solid app with a wide variety of uses, including the ability to make your own lists for random choices. I'd like the premiium functions and no ads, but I strongly dislike subscription fees. I'd be willing to pay $25 as a one-time purchase, but the only options given are subscriptions. I'd give it 5-stars if I could purchase the premium version without subscribing. I understand their need for income, but I don't have to keep paying for physical products I own, why should digital be different?
Too many ads Edit: I apologize for the negative review. Reviews help keep individuals informed about their choices, and I have been reviewing apps for more than five years. I get no salary at all from providing feedback. You can always remove ads or make them less intrusive, thereby supporting me as a user. (And feel free to pay MY salary! I promise not to leave annoying reviews if you do.)
Good functionality and UI. The ads at the bottom of the page aren't too bad. However, it now has full screen video ads that you can't dismiss right away. I'd happily pay a one-time price for no ads, but no way this is worth a subscription model when there are plenty of other randomizers.
There is much to be said for using chance to make decisions! 1) All else being equal, it minimizes decision fatigue.. a really real thing. 2) Serves as a gut-check once you see the "answer." Free version is great but I bought full app so I could store more lists. My only wish would be the ability to custom re-order my lists. Right now it only lists them from newest to oldest. I would like the more frequently accessed ones up top so I don't need to scroll. Give it a "chance"... pun intended.
It does exactly what it's supposed to and has never failed me, what more could anyone ask for? It comes with plenty of ways to alter things like the amount of results in one roll, whether or not results can be repeated, and whether or not you want a delay. The ONLY thing I can think of to improve it is having the option to save settings for the number generator. You can do it for the list picker, but not the number generator, which is odd. It's a minor nitpick for an app that is otherwise great.
I was using 3-4 websites or apps to do what this one does. I love that you can save lists. will be subscribing soon because ad free is the only thing I would want and the $10 seems reasonable.
Too many ads. Im using it to randomly pick chapters & review questions, can't get anything done. It's much better to ask chatgpt to generate python code for your exact needs, that's what I ended up doing. Edit: ads don't have to be this aggressive over extended use. You'll drive people away, better to have some ad revenue than none at all. Design the ad algorithm to be better rather than make excuses.
Easy to use...variety of randomizer tools. I use it on rare occasions, and today I thought that I would pay for the Premium version. I was surprised to see that the devs only offer a subscription option. It's not that useful that I would pay for it month after month, or year after year. I already own several spreadsheet apps that can duplicate the functionality of this one. I'll use the free version of this only so long as the ads don't get obnoxious. I'd be happy to pay a reasonable fixed amt
This is a good app, however, there are forced full-overlay ads instead of unobtrusive banner ads. Also, it is much too expensive for what it is - and has only a subscription model (which isn't in line with the app function). A $10 pro version (lifetime) would be better. Due to these three points (and needing more UIX work), I give it 2*. If I could give a half star more, I would.
I really like this app. There are a few additions and changes I'd like to see, such as a choice for more than just 6 sided dice, and the option to temporarily remove an option from a list without deleting it permanently. Overall though I'm very happy with it and was more than happy to spend the money for premium (less than £2 a bargain). Highly recommend.
This is the best Temu ad player I've found. Sadly my ads occasionally get interrupted by the ability to randomly select numbers, choose lots or roll dice. Seriously, ads used to be unintrusive but now they are way too frequent. I'd switch to premium but you're having a laugh with a subscription model when everything is on my device. It should a pay once deal. It's a shame as this is the best app of this type I've found - switching to something less greedy.
I number things I have to do, let the randomizer put them in order, then follow the plan, no getting sidetracked, one task to another, great productivity helper for me.
Recurring subscription plans only, without any possibility to purchase the software once and for all are ridiculous for such barebones functionality. While you can choose the number of dice, there is no possibility to choose any other type than 6-sided ones. With most current roleplaying or boardgames using anything from 3 to 20, 50 and 100 sides, better get Certified True Randomizers. Since the other categories are very basic, too, this app will remain uninstalled.
I've been using this app for a long time and it's been so useful. I've tried other random generators but I always come back to this one. However I do have one really big nitpick. I'd really love it if I could reorder my custom lists. As it is right now, the newest ones are sorted to the top, when I'd prefer to have my main, older lists be prominent at the top. Being able to sort lists into folders or categories would be even better, but I'd be happy just being able to sort them. Thank you!
This used to be my go to Randomizer App, but as of late they have ramped up the ads to an obsessive ammount. Every time you close or open the app, ad. Every few runs, ad. It just became unbearable to use. I'll be looking for alternatives, and I suggest everyone to do the same.
As a truck driver, I sometimes have to write a Bill of Lading for the items I haul, and wanted a random number generator for BOL numbers. However, when I got into the app to explore it, I realized that it has a lot of cool stuff that it generates. This is a way better app than the previous one I was using.
They inject ads that you can't even close by clicking on the "x"! [Updated to respond to unapologetic comment from the devs] Fine! I understand importance of ad revenue in freemium model, and I do purchase apps that I have meaningful use of. However, my review was about you displaying **unclickable** 'x' on the ad. I haven't come across this "22nd century feature" yet in any other freemium app I have used over past decade! Anyways, I have already uninstalled the app.
Fantastic Little Application! I'm an aspiring gameplay designer, so I make a lot of lists, and having something like Random UX is just incredibly handy for me when I need to generate a couple things to help me think up ideas. My only critique is that this doesn't possess the ability for me to generate from multiple lists or generators at a time! Still, more than happy to use it - thanks for the awesome tool folks!
I can tolerate the ads, unless it's that one from some kind of video app. It shows girls shaking their butts in the camera, and I have zero interest as a result (I want to emphasize that I have zero interest in the advertised app, not this one. I love this app!). I might, if those app developers weren't bad at marketing.
This has saved the day in my classroom many times in deciding which student goes next. With its many options (list, coin, number, lots), I've also used it for many different games, decision making, and generating math problems. The only negative thing is that I don't know which side of the coin is heads and which is tails...
