Love this app! Unfortunately there are quite a few books I just can't read because of grammar or just not written well. Books are not finished and it leaves you hanging. Also the r-coins are helpful but in order to redeem them is difficult for me when the word disappears and I can't click it. Then I lose the coins I built up. Super frustrating! Update: The redeem button has now all together disappeared to redeem my coins. Not happy!
The longer I'm on here the more I dislike this app, from the poor excuse of customer service to overwhelming amounts of ads. You don't just watch an ad for a chapter, you need one to unlock it, one half way through if it's longer than 11 pages, a banner ad on the bottom that often opens your web browser for malware looking ads, and a section and towards the bottom of the chapter. On top of everything the editing is atrocious, 0 quality standards I've stopped reading several books because of it.
I am thoroughly enjoying this app. I've been trying several different apps, since I love to read. Every app I've tried have, after a few very short chapters, expected me to pay for more. Pay pay pay. This app has been free. Actually free. Plus it's got fun random little reading games to join in. This is one of the few reading apps that I have tried that makes it easy to find the book I've been reading, select another, or to read two books at the same time! This is my go to app. Highly recommend.
I prefer to avoid ads between chapters so loved Readict. However, recent changes have disappointed. Before, even though rewards expired there were many ways to earn more and the number was generous; it was possible to binge watch ads and earn 1,000 stars. Currently, one is lucky to get 200. Today I earned 159...85% fewer than a week or so ago. Now when I see novels on Readict I want to read I search and use an app that lets you keep the stars you've earned.
I would love to give this app 5 stars, however, I agree with some of the comments here. There is no editing for poor spelling or grammatical errors and it's hard to follow the slang being used. Some of what I read seems like a homework assignment for English class. I don't mind the ads too much, some are redundant even after clicking "not interested". I just finished the AlterRealm series and had to keep closing the app to get past the Shein spam link. Deleting app. Please fix issue.
I've been enjoying the stories up to now. I don't mind the ads so much until today. I keep getting double ads to continue the story. However, the ads keep freezing up and not completing even if I watched both. I must have watched over 6 ads, and it still will not allow me to go on. Frustrating to say the least. I can not afford to buy Unlimited with no ads. I got the app because it's supposed to be free with ads to go forward. I do hope Tech Support will fix this. Hate to have to uninstall.
There are too many ads and bad grammar. Reading a story, and it sucks that I have to watch an ad just to continue reading. Then, in some parts of the story, the peoples names are spelled wrong. Not for me, uninstalled. Update, I tried this again, I can't complete a chapter without it trying to go to something that says click, and it says it's a virus. Also, I watched an ad to continue onto the next chapter, and it sent me back to the chapter that I was already on.
I really like this app. I've read many books since March. lately, I can't collect the free coins. get errors on pages now. Can't find books that go to series to finish. I am being disabled not able to do much. this has been something I can do. it's sad since Oct. I've had lots of glitches, errors, can't find full series of books.
ad i clicked said 100% free, not true, i don't mind paying to read, but amounts wanted is too much for what you get. stories are unchecked, spelling, many sound as though they are written by a younger person, especially on slang words, this is not bad but confusing if not used to words. plus, language is rather casual at times, when a status would suggest different. All for new writers, it takes practice, but don't charge premium for novice work
I am reading the first book via Readict and keep getting switched to an error page. It's frustrating because you watch the ad and you try to get to the next chapters and errors. I'd include a pic of the error but I don't see where I can attach it. if you need the pic, pls let me know and/or provide a secureethod to send it your way. if the error issue were to be fixed, I would increase the number of stars on this review.
Well I used to love this app. Not so much anymore. Much harder to earn points, they have short expiration timeframes now. I love, love, love this app. No cost to read just short adds to view for each chapter. Collect points for add free reading time. You can buy your points if you don't want to watch 60 second advertising clips. Lots of great stories. I have subscriptions to several reading apps, this is in the top 3.
The overall concept of this app is good. I don't mind ads to read a new chapter, and there are what seem to be some pretty good books on here. The problem I'm having is that no matter how many times I try to add a book to my library, it just doesn't appear in the library. Also, after I get past the free chapters and have to start watching ads, it just skips me back to chapter one after the ad instead of letting me read the next chapter.
I had seen the ad for Readict books many times. Finally, after reading a few reviews, I decided to download the app. I really liked the book I read. What I didn't like was pausing every 3-4 minutes for a 35-40 second ad. There was an option to buy coins to use instead of ads, but as many times as I stopped, I figured to use at least $5 per book. I will stick with my Nook, where I can get free books or cheap books, and read them without interruption.
I would give 5 stars but I hate the daily check-in system. I am on the app multiple times a day, but if I don't remember to go in to the specific area to sign in, it doesn't count it. I think I've missed almost 2 weeks total check-ins because I forget. PLEASE make it pop up when you log in for the first time every day! So many apps do it, and it's sad that this one doesn't. Also, sometimes it just opens my browser and I absolutely hate that!
The love the stories, but when you can't afford to purchase the points, then you get stuck because u can't finish a book. Each chapter costs way too many points. Wish there was a way to just pay for the whole book. Also, there are some writing mistakes in the books and skipped words that make the sentences hard to understand. Also, maybe there could be a way to get more free points or free chapters that be awesome.
Storiy was interesting but the adds after each short chapter were extremely annoying, especially after noticing there were 800 of them. Then, when you think the story is concluding, you are informed that more of the story will continue on another day. Buy your books. Don't bother with this app!!!! I uninstalled after one partial read. I won't wait for another day to read more of the story. I'm glad that I skipped to what I thought was the end and didn't stop for all the 800 chapter adds.
So far, interesting stories. Ads can get annoying, but that's what keeps it free. Would like to see some of the stories edited better, but I can generally get the gist of what they're trying to say when it's more jumbled. Downside, I had to transfer to a new phone and all of the coins, library, etc can't transfer over to new phone. There needs to be a way to create an account so you don't lose information when changing devices.
The ad says, "Anytime, anywhere" but you have to be online to use the app. You also can't search for books and there's no archive or place to keep special books that you've read and liked but want to read again in the future. If you fix these things, it'd be a five-star review from me for sure. Everything else is perfect. Books are actually limitless and are very well written as well.
Most of the stories I've read are pretty good. There are some grammatical errors and typos, but it's usually not too bad. Unlike all the other apps I've checked out this one is legit free. One ad to get the next chapter, which is pretty reasonable in my opinion. Especially since the other "free" apps make you use coins which take forever to get for free and buying them will end up costing you $50-$100 per poorly written book. I won't even pay that much for a real book and I love real books.
My post is in regards to several of the enovells I've read. They are incomplete. Leaving the reader, myself, wanting to read more. However, when searching for additional works to complete the first enovell there aren't any. The authors have not written or posted additional work. This is frustrating on many levels as it leaves the reader, myself, feeling frustrated from the lack of closure. I am beginning to see this as a common occurrence. I am considering uninstalling this app. I deserve more!
