Don't bother downloading this app. it sucks!! I made a purchase on 8/31 through the app. I was able to see my purchase in that day but rhe next day it was gone. I've been checking all week through the app. and the website and shows no record of my purchase. I've emailed their customer support, its been 48hrs, and I still have not heard back. I did get a confirmation email with the purchase so hopefully that works when i show up to the theater. What a nightmare.
It's ok but I'd love to make a watchlist for upcoming movies and series. I love the met opera and anime limited engagement showings and being able to add a movie, like the new chainsaw man, when its announced and getting a reminder when tickets go on sale and a reminder when a movie is that week would be AWESOME. Having to track that sort of stuff manually feels antiquainted.
App barely works. Always telling me there's a "connection issue" no matter how perfect my WiFi connection is. Constantly gives me errors messages when I try to add & redeem physical Regal Premiere tickets when I'm reserving my seat. Which means I have to restart the app, but then when I go to pick a seat, the one I previously was trying to pay for shows up as "occupied" despite it never actually being reserved! On top of that, the rate at which you earn rewards is a joke.
The new layout is awful. The old version of the app was great, and you could easily tell what movies were out now, or coming soon (sorted by release date) and click a movie to see more details. It showed the release date on the same catalogue page. Now it does not even list the 'Coming Soon' section in order of release date, and if you click one to see when it's actually releasing, then go back, it scrolls all the way back to the beginning of the list. I'm considering dropping Regal Unlimited.
Great rewards on the worst app you can download! I would say that 90% of the time you sign into the app, there is a problem or some kind of glitch. You get an "Unavailable" error when you click on a movie trailer. I have NEVER been able to see a trailer on the app. It often freezes, forcing you to get in a concession stand line to verify that you have tickets. The reward program is great! But the app it's on is definitely the worst app I use!
I bought the unlimited and regret EVERY SINGLE time I try to use it. There hasn't been a single attempted use that hasn't failed in some way or another. Either we can't get seats next to each other, or the wifi won't display tickets, or the app refuses to open, and almost always require spending 10-15 minutes at the box office fixing it. So the app with the unlimited subscription is frustrating & time wasting. AND you can't cancel it for a whole year!
To put it bluntly, this app sucks. Signing in is hit or miss, mostly miss. I can log in just fine on the web, however. Calling customer service was a complete waste of time, as they kept insisting that the issue was with my device. Even when I CAN log in, my tickets don't always show up. I pay for Regal Unlimited which makes it doubly frustrating. When my tickets don't show up and I try to get tickets for the same show, I get a message that I have already purchased tickets for that show!!
They say it's an "Unlimited" membership, but it actually has its limitations. You can't purchase a ticket a week in advance when you're actually at the theater, so you have to use the app and pay the "convenience" fee. I guess Regal really wants to nickel and dime you for your membership... This app basically is only good for purchasing tickets, viewing showtimes and managing your rewards. It's not useful if you need to contact customer service or need some sort of technical assistance. The "My Account" section is particularly useless - especially the "Manage Payment Methods" and "Subscription Details".
This app is trash. It literally never works. I am a Regal Unlimited member, and I have to uninstall and reinstall the app every time I want to purchase tickets in advance cause the app won't show current times, only times for next week. It's been like that for months. Not sure if it's a scam to try to deter Unlimited Members from using their membership, especially during prime movie time periods. If it doesn't change, I'll just stop paying for the membership. Tired of getting the run around.
App works fine. interface could use improvement. for example, to enter a birthday, direct entry doesn't seem to work. It seems the only option is to scroll back one month at a time. That would be frustrating if I was only 13; the minimum age to establish a Regal account. Consider the level of irritation for some one in their 30s, 40s, 50s... Really, you can do better.
What Happened? The option to show theaters is not always present in my menu. That's really the only way to find a movie. The Now Showing list is limited to mostly wide releases and no search option. It didn't include the movie I want to see. I had to use fandango to find the regal theater where my movie was playing. Weird huh?! Later "Theaters" was shown on the app menu.
If I could give a rating for Regal Unlimited alone, it'd be five stars, hands down. However, when forced to take the app into consideration, it drags the score down. The app has a tendency to take forever to load quite often. Additionally, half the time I find myself unable to redeem my Regal Crown Club points, despite having more than enough for the reward in question.
been really frustrated about the app usability. it doesn't load properly, won't list movies or struggles with connecting, even though I am always on a network or Wi-Fi at home. it acts like there is no such thing as the Internet and just lags. I don't know what happened to it, but I had gotten worse to use rather than better. and yeah, enough with the pop up ads.
I downloaded it to buy tickets and they wanted to charge a 'convienience fee'. For what? It's a lot easier to have the person at the box office find the movie, date, time, and charge my credit card than for me than to do it myself. What the heck am I paying for? The app also crashes any time you click a link in the promo page. Waste of time. I uninstalled it shortly after downloading.
This app is terrible! Super buggy, laggy, unresponsive, and inconsistent! I've only been able to buy a ticket one time through the app, and that was the first time I used the app. I can't even update my password or request an email because I cannot enter text in the boxes, but can still hit the submit button. It also doesn't help that the website thinks it's under a cyberattack when I try to go through there, as well.
Ordering concessions through the mobile app has always been problematic. Typically you're going to encounter that their "system is down" or they "can't see the orders." But that feature is basically a disappointment because you still have to get in line to get anyone's attention to get your order, which defeats the purpose of mobile ordering. If anything, it's worse because you don't really know they're unable to see your order until it should have been ready anyway.
Every time I try to purchase tickets, the app gives a 0.00 balance for the tickets, so I'm trying to check out, and I get an "unexpected error" notification. What's the point of having the unlimited pass if you can't purchase tickets? Tried on multiple phones multiple times with multiple accounts through friends and family. Reading reviews this is a common issue that the developers can't seem to figure out. Maybe it's time to look for a new dev team.
The app is okay for what it is, but it's so much more annoying than just having them look up your phone number like GameStop does. I like being a Regal member but it's getting a little out of control the number of times I've just been like "forget it" rather than wait for the app to load. That little plastic card that used.to symbolize my membership never needed to load. The ink kept coming off of it, but the solution to that would have been to print those cards with different ink.
I have the Unlimited account and can't get in to pay for the service. I've tried different payment types, including a gift card, uninstalling and reinstalling it, restarting my phone... Nothing. Customer service is a joke, i sent 3 requests and heard nothing from them other than information on how to change my password, which was never the issue. My advice would be to skip the Unlimited plan until they iron out these issues.
Received two passes as a gift. They can't be used on the site, but they can be used on the app. Clever way to screw people into downloading it, I guess. Selected a movie that allowed passes (and yes, I did verify that). Both passes were accepted, but that is as far as the app will take you. I was thrown into a loop of errors with some generic message that Minions were sent to fix it. Don't blame Illumination because this app leaves you in the dark.
