Great, it lets me choose the volume and speed, there are so many rain sounds to choose from and the adverts aren't too intrusive. The problem is that it will randomly cut out in the middle of the track and there's seemingly no way of telling when or why this will happen. At first it was just once in a while but now it's nearly every night. If you're just in light sleep, it's so jarring and wakes you up and then you're just awake and stressed. So please be careful, it's honestly great otherwise.
I've had this app for years and I use it to sleep but it's started shutting off after just a few minutes. Last night I did everything I could think of, cleared the cache and data, uninstalled and reinstalled, tried to set the end time, restarted the phone and nothing worked. It runs for a few minutes and then shuts down. I don't know if this is from the new update or something, but it's frustrating
I use this to sleep, it's very intuitive in terms of where buttons are placed and overall design. I like the timer feature which shuts the app down so I'm not wasting electricity while asleep. I also like the fact that you can adjust the frequency of thunder or the type of rain. There is only one ad when I set it up for the night so there's nothing annoying or excessive.
I have used this rain app every single night for so many years. I couldn't sleep without it at this point. I gave it 5 stars years ago but needed to update my review. The frequent crashes I have experienced in the last few years have been awful. Just last night I got woken up twice because it shut off! While I've been writing this review, it has shut off 5 times! That's crazy! Please bring back the old version of the app. These updates have ruined the consistency of this once solid app.
would be a decent app but it's impossible to turn it off! even closing the app it still plays the sound. the only work-around I found is setting the timer for one minute and then the sound finally stops. I know! it sounds improbable but I've searched and searched for the "off" type button but there is not one. I looked in the FAQ and it states many ways to "turn it off" but they're all work arounds too! and they don't work-around at least not for me! so, app has been uninstalled.
It works quite well. Ads can be distracting but are not frequent, and only happen while tturning the sound on. It would be a 5 Stars app if it didn't sometimes stop in the middle of the night, for no apparent reason. But really good overall and lots of sound options. Thank you! Update: the small issue I mentioned has been fixed, at least for me. Many thanks to the dev team for letting us know. Updating the rating to 5 stars now.
Simple, dosen't take up a lot of space and it always helps to clear my mind. I just wish that there were more music options. The piano is the only one i use because the others aren't soothing. update: recently started having issues where the sound comes & goes in waves like someone is covering the speakers. doesn't matter what headphones I use. I tried uninstalling & reinstalling but the issue remains.
I have been using this app for years now, and prior to the last six months would have given it five stars. However, in that time it has begun misbehaving in very disruptive ways, cutting out in the middle of the night, cutting out when I open the phone-- or even just pick up the phone to check the time!-- etc. I have come to rely on this app for consistent sleep, and the sudden stops wake me abruptly--- sometimes a few minutes before my alarm, but sometimes at 2 or 3 in the morning! 😫
Does what it says. Good quality, too. Update: TOO MANY ADS. I get that they have to make a profit, but lately I've been getting multiple ads just while scrolling through the list of sounds. Most can't be skipped and have sound, which just aggravates me at a time when I'm trying to chill. Update: ads have gotten worse somehow. They should not be playing sound automatically, but they do. Been using this app for years, but I'm thinking of switching to something else.
As a truck driver, I run this through the truck audio system for a surround effect. (There are speakers everywhere in those things). IMMERSION isn't accurate enough. It's absolutely perfect. No interrupting ads, you can adjust everything, and there are so many options that if you can't find one that works for you, then you need to see a hearing specialist. The thunder effects actually vibrate the truck. At home is just as good. Perfect in every way. Good job!
I've used this app for about 3 yrs & now it's on my Sprint Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus & I LOVE it!! You can pick from different free music, to play at the same time as the rain or you can choose not to have music play & just listen to the rain & thunder!! You can control the volume of the music, thunder & rain separately!! It comes with different ways that the rain sounds & where it's raining!! It's a must have app if you need help falling asleep or just relaxing!! Keep up the great work!! 🙂😉
The best "white noise" is the sound of rain; to me, rain is probably the most relaxing sound around. Each variation of rain sound is authentic and there are many from which to choose. Not only can you manage the volume and intensity of the rain, you have complete control over how long the timer lasts if you want to set it. I love natural thunder but don't use the option to add it at night because it gets disruptive. There are ads in the free version, but they're not obnoxiously intrusive.
This is made by the same ppl that did the Ambience app. I was expecting the same level of options as Ambience. But the only things you can change is to add thunder or music sounds. You can't adjust any of the elements and I don't think you can add them together. To be able to create a favorites list you need to purchase the premium version. There are the ads, which pop up when going thru the types of rain. Which go away w/the premium version. I'll uninstall and just use Ambience.
Great sleeping app that provides numerous variations of rain sounds. One can also add zen music sounds and thunder if desired. Its easy to use, it works well, and it's not packed with demands to buy the premium version, just a few ads here and there. IMHO rain is still one of the best sounds to fall asleep to, and this app has more than enough choices to find the zone. Sweet dreams!
Ive tried quite a few of these apps and this one has been the best by far. Set it and forget it, I've had this running for over a day, never a problem. Excellent variety of sounds, easy to use, even hit a ad (no clue why people say they're intrusive, first time in years I've seen ads without a timer) or two so developer gets some coin. Best app of its type👌🏿
I've been using this app for years! It's my "white noise" when I sleep. I'm pretty lucky that the first rain sound that it plays, just happens to be my favorite. So, I don't have to scroll and deal with ads. Every now and then, an ad sneaks in, whiff can be pretty jarring when you're listening to something so peaceful... But I'll live 😋 Oh, and there's A LOT of options!
There may be lots of websites and apps exclusively for rain noises, but I doubt any of them are more extensive than this one. I'm blown away at how many settings and locations the app maker thought up and put on here. That's dedication. Options to add thunder and music (with multiple tracks to choose from) are such a natural extension to the base sounds and work very well. And the phone and rain volume being separate means I can balance this app's audio with another for sound mixing. Great app!
Really appreciate the mixable rain and thunder options, but like another said, app has a bad habit of suddenly stopping in the middle of the night for no apparent reason. Plus, when I was trying to re start it this very morning, I was suddenly informed that the very feature I had been using ALL THAT NIGHT and for weeks beforehand (saved mixes) was suddenly behind a paywall. Bro you better fix your app before I'm paying for it...
Worked great the first night. Some features required upgrade to use, so I decided to check it out for a week before upgrading. Second night, I went to set the timer and it forced an obnoxious game app ad on me for a few seconds before I could skip it and start to relax. Third night, same thing. Then, about 15 minutes later, as I'm about to doze off, it overlaid some horrible, peppy, synth music over the rain sounds that wouldn't turn off even after closing it! Uninstalled at 3am. Disappointed.
Great app with lots of options for mixing rain and different kinds of thunder (long low rumble, distant, heavy). Small issue with the Rainy Night with crickets recording. The loop has a dropout at 1 min. 5 seconds which is disconcerting. The sound should be more consistent and smooth. This is my favorite but the dropout makes it hard to use to relax. Would add a star or two if that was fixed!
