Remote Control for Roku

I tried the free version. A few clicks of any sort of button (volume, pause, scrolling etc.), and this app interupts your phone with an ad. Trying to set up subtitles is a nightmare. Scrolling through Netflix is even worse. I finally turned off the TV, and I was left far more miserable than I was before I turned it on. I do not know whether or not the paid version of this ap is worth paying for. I do know the "free" sample is not worth the cost.

App is great, lost my remote for like 2 weeks, installed this and I didn't need a remote anymore. Well, except for on turning the TV off, that was the only problem, but I can deal with it, and I have the remote now. Plus, the TV barely gets turned off because 92% of the time, somebody's using it. Anyway, great app, works easily, and it looks just like the real remote. 👍👍

It works very well with my Ruko TV. My only complaint it the ads .. OMG the ads pop up and take over the app constantly.! Just about every other click. So you have to either wait out the ad or close the app and reopen it, then wait for the app to reconnect to the TV.. if you're a channel surfer or use multiple streaming app through Ruko this app is going to drive you insane..!! It will do the job but it will test your patience...

BEFORE they had ads, I would give this app 5 stars because it WAS very easy to use and fast to respond. Now when you try to use it, you're immediately forced with an ad as soon as you open the app. Then they keep coming like every 30 seconds or after every 5 clicks, the worst part is they will pop up without warning so you'll be trying to click on the remote and suddenly an ad pops up and it takes you to their website or play store. I'm just trying to use a remote, not see 3 ads every minute.

Who doesn't love waiting 2 - 5 minutes for an ad to finish before clicking a remote every third time?!?!? My Roku remote is so strong that it works on literally every device in my living room. This app used to help cut down on accidentally adjusting volume or changing a different television's picture setting. You have to restart the app with the new ads. Even after watching to completion. I uninstalled and my life has improved!!

Ok, yes it works. Buttons do as they should, BUT that's IF the app stays connected to your device. And that's a big IF. Everytime you stop using the app for a few seconds it loses the connection with the roku, then you have to wait for it to reconnect, or you have to restart the app so it can recognize your device again. And you will be doing this constantly. Also, you will click on every ad cause they randomly start with no warning while your actively using the app.

My remote ended up in a bowl of cereal milk (it's unfortunate that this is not the first time I've lost electronics to it) and this app was a lifesaver. You can't turn your TV on via the app, but that makes sense as it operates off of wifi. I haven't had any issues with it, and it's saving me from having to purchase a new remote! Highly recommend, even if it's just to mess with your roommates

this is by far the best remote for my Roku.. I'm 55 and I have never rated any apps ..this one works so well it is the least I could do for A.... anyone looking for the one that works so much better than the others that were a waste of time and frustrating... and B my appreciation to the developers of this problem answering app...

If you lose your remote constantly like I do, you need this app. Quickly connection, it'll stay connected as long as you're on the app. Very easy to use remote. As since it's through WiFi. It's range is literally spectacular. Edit: I paid for Ad free. It's worth it and cheaper than 1 Starbucks drink and you'll use it frequently.

The amount of ads in this is so ridiculous, you can barely access the actually remote. You can push a button 3 times and then an ad pops up that you can't escape, then maybe 2 more buttons and another longer ad. Horrible app, extremely frustrating, and considering it's literally a remote, there shouldnt be any ads.

works but an Ad nightmare. if there is any other option that is less add intesive please use it. Receive 4 pop up adds in less than 5 clicks of the remote. good functionality, disgusting developers for the cash grab

I actually really like this app. I've been using or for about a year and a half now. even when my remote is working I dont always have batteries for it and this app comes in and saves the day. even though the ads are super short, almost always immediately able to exit them, I still give 4 instead of 5 because they are like every 15 minutes triggered by you doing something.

Takes to long to load and actually find the device. Also it freezes and does not work. The remote is saying (none) to my 32 inch tv. I wish it still had the remote volume on the volume button on the phone. Also there is not enough sensitivity to actually read the remote and it will take 3 times just for it to go down and search for a movie.

Half the time you push a button, it doesn't do anything. Hit it a bunch of times and still nothing. Then other times works first try. The other thing it does is, it registers you pushing a button, but doesn't do anything, so them you keep pushing it to try to make it work, and all the sudden it registers every single time you just pushed it and then when you try to go back its the same problem. It's so annoying and if I didn't loose my actual remote I would never use this. Only as a back up.

This Roku app actually works better than the official Roku app,I only wish there weren't SO MANY FORCED ads. PLEASE give an option to pay for premium. like 99 cents, The ads are SO LOUD and ANNOYING and you CAN'T back out of them, you have NO CHOICE but to wait 30 seconds, and they pop up out of NOWHERE, GEEZ I uninstalled it because of the ads and found another one

Works amazingly, no glitches nor minor issues. I would definitely recommend downloading if you have a reliable phone and your screen is of the latest version,... then yes, just to have incase your 3 year old decides he wants to lose the actual remote. Sometimes its extremely lag-y and seems to freeze, only to suddenly have it go through every action you attempted while it was in the middle of its technological brain fart within 1/4 - 3/4 of a second and then you usually have a pretty decent mess along with the decision as to whether its worth the time and effort to attempt to unravel it and set it right again or just start back over from the beginning. But other than that one specific and very irritating problem, I have no other complaints.

Why put ads ads on a remote app? I was trying to forward a movie, just a little bit and an ad popped up and of course I had to watch 5 seconds of the ad just to press play. That was after having to press back because there's no warning of the upcoming ad so it reacts like you pressed on the ad to be taken to a different screen, so the time that it took me to get off the screen for whatever product the ad was for, plus the 5 second wait until you can skip the ad,I had forwarded half of the movie

Pain in the neck to use. I don't understand why a universal remote, that even Radio Shack had mastered almost 25 years ago, is so hard to set up and keep the settings for the current generation of things that are needed, not so often. But if you misplace one of the many remotes, it can cost you hours to get your items adjusted and before I know it all of my created combinations to remember have really foul language in them. I don't trust every company that demands full access to your acco

Had a ton of freezing and the app buttons not doing A HUGE amount of the time. Used to be flawless. I know sometimes it's user error or a one off but this was much too consistent on EVERY USE for that to be the case here. Extremely frustrating considering I've had the app since pretty much its creation and it has only been happening for the last few months. I downloaded another remote, not going to advertise because I'm not trying to take downloads away, but I haven't had ONE PROBLEM
