Remote for Apple TV

This is not a "FREE" app as advertised. Once down loaded it worked for only three clicks then advertisements started popping up for the seven day trial offer. If you don't select the trial offer it will not work. And, I am sure like most people, you will forget about the trial period and get charged. Other than that, the app works adequately. Be aware you will not be able to control your TV volume as you can with the regular Apple TV remote.

This app is garbage. I've heard if you pay for it, it's better but why would I pay for an app that I have no idea if it actually works with my setup? They charge $2.99/WEEK (yes, you read that correctly) or $9.99/year. So it's either $144 per year or $9.99 per year. It's like they want you to pay the $2.99 so you can see if actually works for you. Then, if it does, you have to pay an additional $9.99 to avoid per WAY OVER THE TOP PRICING, IF IT ACTUALLY WORKS. What a joke. Next!

Very disappointed and will be disputing the charge with my bank. First of all, they never gave an indication that the app would cost to use. Second of all, it says only 3.99 to use forever but charges over 10.00 to my account. Third of all- the damn thing doesnt even work! Literally doesnt load at all. I was hoping this one would work more like the original apple tv remote as the other apps are limited to what buttons are available but at least they work and for FREE. ZERO STARS IF I COULD!!!!!

This is awful, even as a short term solution. I downloaded this while I waited to receive a replacement remote, but the amount of ads is ENRAGING. I understand the ads on a free version, but most of the time they don't even have a close button! I constantly have to restart the app, even just switching channels. Absolutely ridiculous.

DONT BUY It's a scam. There's a no refund policy if you buy it, and since the subscription is a year long you can't cancel it and get your money back. It worked well, just had ads and was annoying. So I bought it. 10$ a year. So you'd expect it to work... it no longer connects, and they aren't responding to my emails. And they already took the money from my account. It's a scam.

Given that other reviews were mixed about how well the app worked I wanted to take advantage of the "try it for free" offer which is advertised on the splash screen of the app after you install it. Unfortunately that offer is not real. The app forces you to choose one of the paid plans and tells you you can cancel at any time, effectively turning it into an opt out program, which I do not appreciate nor trust.

Edit: keyboard option and improved track pad are awesome! Unfortunately they came at the cost of my volume controls? Original: Great app for Apple TV, just wish I could get a virtual keyboard input for things like YouTube searches. Only other gripe is that it doesn't seem you can make large multi item swipes on the touch pad. If you use the onscreen keyboard on the TV this can be a real pain as a huge swipe is only one letter to the right or left. Otherwise fantastic app!

It works...mostly. You can't use the hand touch unless you buy rights to it. This prevents functions that require swiping from being executed. The fee is annual rather than an outright purchase. The commercials are ridiculous. You have to watch commercials every few clicks. I typed in a search name on a show and had to watch four sets of commercials in between the letters. Sometimes they are in foreign languages so you don't know which button to press.

This most likely is a Trojan malware. It works fine, but it overrides a lot of things. For example, it's full of ads that you can "skip", but when you tap the skip button it takes you to the Google Play page to download that app. Avoid downloading, find another remote app, as this one is probably stealing your info and spreading malware

Edited review. Ok, so I downloaded this app and used the paid version. For a couple days. This is the first Android app I've found that works even a little bit for my Apple TV 4k it's a great app. only issue I had was the up arrow didn't work all the time for me which is a deal killer for me. It controls vol on Kodi. Everything else about the app worked perfectly. I tried every button, every function, including track pad and had no issues. If the up button is fixed I would pay for premium.

it only works sometimes due to so many ads that won’t close or you can't dismiss them and you have to completely close out of the app and start over! it's extremely frustrating when you are trying to change a channel or click play and your child is crying and they don't wait patiently while you start all over again and again! my daughter lost her remote which leaves me to try to use the tv with this app while babysitting. ugh!!

Garbage. I've been a Pro user for 5 years and used your application for over 7. You have fallen from a solid responsive app developer to a cash grab junk app. You've removed my Pro purchase in some wild attempt to get a "new subscription". I manage an account of 20,000 mobile devices and will tell every user that bothers to use Android never to use any of your products. I tried to reach out to your support to make your error right, but you couldn't even bother to respond to my attempts.

Great Apple TV remote app. Connects quickly and works smoothly. If you lose your remote or need a backup in a pinch, this app gets the job done. Simple, reliable, and worth having installed.

The app is free, but you have to put up with adds right in the middle of using the control. Wait for the game or Sales to time. Or Close the app and Open it again. I am not Happy.

I tried using the app because my TV was slow and I was trying to swipe apps away but youhave to pay the subscription for that service. Anything other than the first button thing is paid subscription.

app works great. reason for 1 star is that it is subscription based for what really should be a one time fee. I'm sure I could just tell the AI to create this app for free.

It's very slow to connect to the Apple TV. So many ads in the free version After 3 or 4 button presses you'll get an ad. Very frustrating when your trying to change the volume. This makes it impossible to use to search for content. In most cases I can find the remote faster than use this app. Also from the description it sounds like you still get banner ads in the premium version. $6 and you still get ads for an app that never seems to get updated and doesn't store anything server side.

I was gonna buy the premium version since the basic version doesn't connect anymore and it is riddled with ads. Thanks to all the reviews here, I now know that the premium version is broken as well. Please fix this ASAP. Added 2 hours after the initial review: I have found my apple TV remote after a month of searching for it. Time to uninstall!!!
