Can't search categories anymore. Used to be able to browse different categories (parts, acoustic guitars, folk instruments, etc,) and perhaps stumble across something interesting or cool. That's no longer possible on the 5.5 version of the app. I'll be spending significantly less time on the app going forward because of this change.

Lots of problems lately... I have been using this app for several years, but now when I open the "My Reverb" section, it doesn't list any current or recent transactions (either selling OR buying.) Additionally, my credit cards were no longer valid, so I tried to add a new card in the app when making a sales listing... and it doesn't work! It keeps insisting I enter "full address" for the card, but the app only gives a space for "postal code"... not street address, city, state, etc.

Logging in with email is broken. When I click on the button to do so, it takes me to the account creation form instead. Because of this I can only use Reverb on the website now which means the app is completely unusable aside from browsing. Using the website works, but is less convenient on mobile compared to the app. Having used the app in the past, I can say that it worked flawlessly before and would leave a 5-star review if I could actually use it.

local listing options does not work correctly. It starts with just local but when you hit load more it loads even from the entire site regardless of where it is. The search option is also garbage now when looking for something specific. All that pops up now is bumped listings which significantly reduces the number of items you can view and definitely hurts sellers who do not use the bumps. The app at this point is pretty useless for a buyer that wants to see all that is available for purchase.

It's been generally great until the last few years with updates and bugs. You have to fix the category bug. When I'm viewing "For You" or searching for something and want to narrow the category down and select "All Drums and Percussion" it ignores my selection and puts "All Categories" in the filter. It's not usable anymore. I will be using other platforms until they fix it.

I like this app and the overall concept. I would have given 5 stars but I have an issue with the fact that when you make and offer that is accepted you cannot retract it or change your mind. I decided on something else and couldn't just purchase the other thing until I eventually called the seller because they weren't answering my messages. You should not be at the mercy of the seller.

There's a very annoying bug where when you zoom in on pictures, it won't let you pan left or right and instead moves to the next picture. This makes it very hard to get a closer look at the condition of used gear. The app should not allow you to change pics when zoomed in. I have no complaints besides that, and I overall like the app and enjoy using it.

I really like the presentation, organization, and concept of the app. But after selling my first item, and changing the price with the buyer after delivery, it got way too complicated. Biggest problem is poor. Forget emails. No phone. And chat is hit and miss. Three tries to sort out how to do a partial refund, I got a person who explained it. I still haven't gotten my payout and not certain why. The app doesn't send notices or notes in the app as to what to do next. Time consuming .

I've been getting an issue at payment the last few times I've tried to buy something - tapping on PayPal just quickly refreshes the screen and sends me back to where I was in a never ending loop. If I try to use a card manually, I get the "Uh oh! Our servers aren't connected" error forever. I used the same card with Reverb via a PC last time this happened and it worked just fine.

Terrible service. I browsed for months and when the item I had been watching dropped in price, I negotiated back and forth with the seller for more than a day. When we came to an agreement, I placed the order. Seller created a shipping label but never shipped the order and wouldn't respond to my messages. Customer service had to get involved and all of a sudden I was refunded with no follow up. When asking customer service about the seller repercussions, they ignored me and closed the case.

insane seller fees, slow payments, they ask for your account and have to set it up 4 times to even get paid. I sold a bass, and it ended up on the customers' possession over a week ago, and I still haven't been paid. the system won't let you log in with your account. They put endless hoops to jump through to get paid for your sales. I've used reverb for years, and I am now never using them again

Absolutely HATE the changes in the latest update (Feb~Mar 2025). I loved this app, and it had caused me to spend a fortune, for better or worse. It got me some very cool gear though. I do not know whose idea it was to shorten the feeds, but it's awful. Especially the 'Your Feed' at the top, and even worse, what used to be two long rows of 'Just Listed' is now like 5 items. I don't have time to dig thru the expanded menus while I work for the $ to live & buy stuff. Bring the longer feeds back!!

I keep having issues with images. It will just show Grey thumbnails and no main image. Sometimes, if I come in from a link(fb ads, for example), it acts like two pages over the top of eachother. I've un/reinstalled, cleared cache, nothing fixes it. Every once in a while, it works for a day or so but then right back to not working. Can't get excited about buying anything if I can't see what is being offered.

when it launched, it was an awesome app. and the fees were reasonable. now the fees are higher than ebay, and they partnered with some other company to verify your identity for some reason. they ask for way too much information. I'm just selling a guitar, not financing a house. alAs a seller reverb doesn't have your back when someone pulls something shady to get a discount. The fees have fees.

Hidden fees to where you aren't able to calculate what you're actually selling item for in terms of what you will get and then even if you go to a ups facility and have them measure and weigh packages and then order your shipping docs straight from reverb with his numbers, they adjust it up. 60 dollars extra in charges on top of the 70 I thought I had coming. What a joke. And then are they in any hurry to process your sale? The item has been delivered and it still doesn't show as such.

I've had a reverb account for about 5-10 years and always had smooth transactions, found great deals, no problem. Honestly loved it. It wasn't till about a month ago my last account got compromised and hacked and I could not for the life of me get ahold of a single person to help me get it sorted. Emailed, called (which automates to tell you to email them), filled out a support form, and contacted via social media. Nothing. All directs to automations. Customer service is literally nonexistent.

Reverb is a good service and you get good deals on used gear there, but the app feels like it works against you oftentimes. You cannot filter out "local pickup only" listings, which are just filler on the page if you can't get to them. There is also no way to filter out international listings, either. They recently pushed an update so that it doesn't show shipping price/availability of any kind in the search results, which it used to, now you must view the listing to see the shipping.

Best app for getting music gear, hands down. Connects you to people and deals you'd never otherwise meet. My ONLY critique is that on the website, not the app, you see the shipping price posted right on the listing which is super helpful. For whatever reason, however, in the app you have to add it to cart and start checkout to see the shipping cost. I actually deleted the app so i could factor shipping into pricing faster. It seems totally unreasonanle to take that out of the app.

Reverb is great for finding unique gear, however the feeds that are curated for the user feel like an unorganized mess of promoted listings from across the world. This leads to many items being extremely overpriced after shipping costs and many listings being written in various languages. The app is OK for finding items when you know what you want, and the tools available to find a decent price (estimates, histories, and other available items) are nice, but I typically purchase elsewhere.

I had seen listings on Reverb for a while but didn't start using it personally until a few months ago. It's a great place to find instruments, equipment, and parts both new and used. Tons of sellers, both private and businesses, who have high ratings and ship quickly. I have not used it to sell anything yet myself but can imagine it would be fairly easy. The offer/counter-offer part is really cool. You can barter back and forth and get some really good deals as a buyer.
