Rivian

Really a great app, especially for a car company. However there is a bug that puts your car alarm in a loop if the car needs to be woken (also too easy to accidentally trigger). Not convenient if it's late at night and you don't have your key fob nearby. Will update back to 5 stars as soon as this is fixed.

Getting better each and every update! My only deduction for a star is because swapping through multiple vehicles is terrible! You have to open the app, find the little button at the top left which sometimes you have to scroll up or down to make visible, then you have to select which vehicle you are driving, then wait for it to communicate, which can take 30 seconds... It is miserable compared to the competition. Handling multiple vehicles needs to be better, currently it sucks.

Basic features literally never work. I get the same error messages every single day when I try to start my climate, unlock the vehicle etc. The app does not allow remote access, because it literally never connects or syncs with the vehicle. Its useless Sometimes the app says "can't connect", sometimes it says "features disabled while vehicle is in use". The app is useless, doesn't allow any of the features it claims. Like everything else Rivian makes, the bugs far outweigh utility.

I want to provide feedback, not necessarily a rating. Overall a good start and a lot to like about the app. Please look at battery usage. Currently on my phone it is too high. Allow the app to be opened from the persistent notification. The notification is labeled "Rivian phone key" with a second line of text "continuous Bluetooth enable vehicle access". The second line of text should indicate if the phone is connected to the car. So "connected" or "disconnected". Keep up the good work!

Lots of opportunities for improvement. For such a "new" product release, it's excellent. However, there are some features that wouldake the app so much more beneficial. 1. Add the ability to open and close the frunk and trunk. 2. Add the ability to have more granular temp control, and to control heated/ventilated seats. 3. A live map of the vehicle's location. 4. The ability to have keyless start on the vehicle via the app, for those who need a remote start. 5. Change the level of charge.

Having had the truck for a few weeks now, I can say I want more out of this app. So many possibilities, some of which they state as options in the owner's guide that are not there. Like opening the tailgate, tonneau, front trunk, etc. I've not been able to pair the charger with the app either, but that might not be the apps fault? In any case, it's a good start, but I hope to see improvements along the way.

App is great, some things missed in my opinion.1. Would like ability to change Amps during charging, I have multiple cars plugged and like lowering the amp to not trip fuse. 2. Would like ability to add another service appointment even if I already have one for mobile service, without need to call to get it added. 3. proximity unlock, while I like the unlock from a good distance as I approach the vehicle, but its also the case at home when I don't need it so It's now off so its not randomly open

I mainly used the app so my phone can be the vehicle key, and it worked pretty well for that (no longer: Bluetooth key functionality was disabled for gen2 vehicles, so that plus a lot of other features no longer work). Another big reason to use the app is to schedule service, and this is where it fails: a) there's some miserable "AI" chatbot there; b) it can't be bypassed; c) after jumping through the LLM hoops, the app just says there are no appointments available, apparently ever.

Since update phone key no longer recognized proximity locking or unlocking. MFA never works and I have to revert to time based codes. Connection both remotely and when inside of the vehicle is very hit or miss. Have to revert back to card multiple times to unlock and drive. Fix the app/software.

Update: Rivian Digital Key using UWB Bluetooth is a massive upgrade in terms of usability and reliability. The app is much more stable and features now work as they should. There are still basic features I'd like to see in the app, like double tap unlock to unlock all doors, which is why I can't give this five stars yet. Original: PaaK doesn't work reliably and the app is quite buggy with random errors. While it is getting better with each iteration, the number of issues is unacceptable.

$90,000 car and they cant get my app to work after 3 years of ownership! DON'T BUY A RIVIAN! 90% of the time I try to use the app it says "limited connectivity" despite having plenty of bars and I'm connected to everything else. It's gotten to the point where I just don't bother even using the app. I have 70k milles & it says I have just 188. In maps im forever parked in a town 80 miles away. Using remote heat or a/c function I have to be 15 feet away from the car! Total fail on Rivians part.

Normally the apps pretty great but I DONT APPRETIATE being logged out every week so when I wake up in the morning at 5 am and go to turn on the AC when its bloody cold, I cant cause I logged me out again. Please fix that.

I have a couple apps for different cars to use my phone as key and so far Rivian is the best its haven't had any issues just walk up to car and it's ready for you app itself is easy to use so far all is good

If the features of this app worked it would be great, but they don't. The remote heating/air conditioning isn't working and the location isn't working right now. Hopefully the bugs get ironed out

sometimes works with android but more often than not fails. can't even sync currently. real hassle to open and unlock even when at home. no fixes from support offered even after 1 year

Rivian stations do not show up. I have to pay with my card, and get no data. AWEFUL experience to not be able to charge at rivian stations with the rivian app.

It often has very poor to no connectivity. It showed the car was still in the garage in my wife's app when the car was already up in the mountain with me.

app is not connecting to the vehicle properly. status of the vehicle is not accurate even when car is connected to the Internet with excellent speeds.

Recently switched from iPhone to Android device (Pixel) so far have been terrible. Attempt to open app either is taking very long or not at all. mostly it's been on endless loop of attempting to open and when it does if it does? You can't even access it. It doesn't even recognize it's own location of charging station, I mean you could be in the parking space and ready to plug but it doesn't even show up in the map so can access the charging station it self. Please fix the app

The app keeps getting better and uses very little battery. Pre-cooling/heating the R1 (even the seats), venting the windows and keyless entry are my most used features. You can see your range, monitor/edit charging, find the vehicle's location, manage drivers, file tickets and so much more. The new update brings a good look, everything is easier to access with bigger buttons.
