bring back the old version. I just want to get on the bike and ride. I don't want to spend 15 minutes setting the thing up everytime. I hate ghost riders. Can't see half the stats because it is too small and the colour's dont have enough contrast. So badly want to switch to something else. Used to be good now it is too complicated to use through Apple TV App and remote.
The app seems fine other than virtual shifting not seeming compatible. Real problem seems to be with support. I had a request for a refund the day after trial ended. I received a positive response like I was going to be refunded, a little more information was requested and given and since then I've been ghosted. No follow up, no response. Very disappointing.
first it was virtual shifting, claimed to work in February, still not working in November. Supposedly fixed, per an email I got last week, but I can't verify that because the app refuses to load routes to ride. This has happened before. One star, right now, a second because I like the photorealism, when the app works. A wide variety of routes to choose from (again when the app works)
I miss the old Rouvy Workout app, I just want to be able to get statistical feedback. While I could see scenery and route's being nice for some users, I wish there was a way to turn it off. This app made the cadence and powerzone so small that I can barely see it on my phone when on my phone mount. I wish there was a way to trade it with the larger icons that I don't care about like elevation. I miss free ride and can't seem to find something similar in this app.
Edit: I emailed tech support as requested and problem solved. I don't care how, but it's working again! First of all, I love this platform. I love the variety of available routes and the realism of the experience. With all of that said, it's a little frustrating that the app logs me out in the middle of rides. There is no consistency to it either, sometimes it's an hour, today it was an hour and a half. It keeps giving me messages about firewalls and wifi and none of those things apply here.
I love the scenery. Other cycling training apps are too video-gamey. Signed up for a "forever" pricing plan. Nope. was $120/year. Just got charged $150. It's money I will never see again, but for $30, they just lost and alienated a customer and any chance at recommendation forever. Businesses don't care. Wringing every penny out of each customer is the focus, so I'm not at all shocked.
I love Rouvy, it's one of my favorite cycling apps! There are so many different routes to choose from - the beautiful scenery also makes riding indoors so much more bearable! I am actually quite surprised with all of the negative reviews - I haven't had any negative experiences thus far. Never experienced any crashes or freezing frames and I have run it on both a smart phone and gaming PC.
I highly recommend you try the app. Before I had knee problems, I would pick riders around my pace and would always have people pushing me. It inspired me push hard to keep up with them. Since my knee issues, I don't want to push that hard. They have ghost riders who adjust to stay near you so there is always company, and that's nice. They have a power meter which is use to make sure I don't push too hard. On the downside, when looking at courses, I find the grades are steeper than advertised.
very promising! I have completed two sessions so far. the interface not too difficult to figure out especially if you are using similar apps. the realism adds a whole different experience to my work outs! I am also surprised how it brought up my trainers "weakness" where is it slow to react on resistance by changing of elevation. I am using the Wahoo Rollr trainer. but overall very impressed. I will use it for a few months and see if it is truly a replacement of my other virtual training app.
Yesterday's update to 2.17.1 broke the ability to play music in the background while running the app. I cast my phone to the TV screen when training, and play music from my phone , also casted , on the big speakers connected to the TV. Until today that is. It is very disappointing to loose this, as I have hundreds of hours on Rouvy in the last few years. Edit: I did contact Rouvy support and have yet to get a reply besides acknowledging that I contacted them.
The most frustrating technological experience I have had in years. I downloaded the app, bought a classic trainer, purches two sensors for 75 dollars, downloaded on my phone, downloaded on the computer, downloaded on my work phone. It is all logged-in, but none of the routes will work. Absolutely horrible. App won't open on my android. App won't start a route on the tablet, can't log-in on customer service - can't find an answer to how to start the routes. Nothing is working after hundreds of $
Terrible App and Customer Service. App is bulky and glitches all the time. Not very user-friendly. Pavilion menus are confusing and connectivity with BT products sucks. Customer support is not very good either. Had my membership on auto renew. Got the notification for renewal and tried canceling the same day. Customer service said I could either cancel the next following year or receive a refund with a 15$ service fee.
First impression is not great, the "filter" button doesn't work, you can sort routes based on distance grade etc. But you can't "filter" which is a big PITA. And how do you add a route to favorites? Update: favorites moved to summary page, shows up after workout, kinda silly, I'd like to save a few to look at later BEFORE I ride them.
The rouvy workouts will connect right away to my trainer, and I used it to help train for my Ironman. The Rouvy AR though, I have had nothing but problems with. It takes forever to connect. If it connects at all (which is most of the time). I'll probably start exploring other options once my subscription gets closer to ending.
The app could be great but instead it's just okay. The app needs native Chromecast support built in. Having to use the Google Home app to cast my phone screen is not a long term solution. It works but the video often freezes on the TV not my device. The image on screen also more often than not looks extremely pixelated on the TV. Downloading routes doesn't help as it takes forever to download something even in 720p. If these issues were fixed it would be an instant 5 stars.
Out of the sports app this is best refresh I've seen so far. New ride interface is great, and you finally see what the challenge will be and what's a head of you. I suspect some people might prefer to be able to design their own layout, but this totally works for me. I hope the main app interface will also receive some kind of refresh. great work, and keep it up!
I don't see very well. this app forces my phone into landscape mode and the normal bottom of screen buttons can't be accessed. everything is way too small to read. appears to be the same as the PC app. that works well on the much larger screen.
The search function continuously fails to work, as do other sections of the app. The support from Rouvy is slow and ineffective. When it works, it's great, but in my experience it is verrrrry unreliable. Edit January 2025: happy to say reliability seems to have improved greatly of late.
By far the best indoor cycling app i've ever used. Every update is improving the riders experience & training to keep you more focused. The realistic visualisation of the routes keep you more immersed to be able to ride for longer. With hundreds of routes from all over the world & so many training workouts & plans, its definitely worth 5 stars.
The app is not functioning properly. Whenever I start a new ride or a workout the app is automatically pausing it, although everything is perfectly connected. This is so tiring and time consuming. If the problem persists I'll definitely cancel my subscription. Shame!
