Keeps crashing when set to play 2 short mp3 tracks in a continuous loop, no gaps all night (white noise playlist, for sleeping). It stops playing at random times during the night & it's getting worse, crashes more frequently. Extremely annoying! *Note: This may have started after getting my Samsung Ultra Watch which uses a persistent blue tooth connection.

At first the app was good, especially with sorting things out, but NOW it doesn't really want to do that anymore. Ever since the update, it made organizing harder. I have a few albums that has over 90 songs that I decide to put in that album. I went to update a song to go to that album, and it just doesn't. It kept separating from the album, and the only way to fix this is to update the songs in the album with the SAME name in order for it to go in. It makes sorting music a tedious task.

This is actually one of the best music players I've used. It's easy to use and navigate, it has all the features I need and it can be used offline. My only complaint is that the playlists cap out at 1000 songs. I figured by now they would have updated that but no, years later and still only 1000. For this reason alone I use other apps for my music but if they ever change it I'd gladly come back

4/25/25: Had to decrease it to one star. I just got a new device & the app hasn't acted right ever since. It continually skips songs with the error msg "failed to play track", sometimes it'll play another song right after & sometimes it won't. I'm not happy about it. Plus, I just learned playlists can only have 1000 songs! Not enough for real music lovers like myself. Very disappointing!

I've used this music player for some months now and really loved it, until this most recent update. Now some of my music won't play, and any attempt to edit other files causes a reversion to another state and cannot be fixed except by deleting the file entirely and redownloading. This is probably just a bug but with no other way to report it, I've got to leave a Google Play review and hope that it is seen!

I don't care about Album art displayed. I just listen to the music in Playlists. I have them sorted by artists, music groups, years, decades, and more. Easy app to create Playlists in and are easy-to-use. What I have is a continuing problem, an intermittent garbled sound between songs. It comes and goes. Otherwise, what more can you ask for?

I really like this app but I am upset about one thing. In one of the last updates there was a change to the background color. It is now white with splotches of colors, that don't even relate to the album cover, or you can change it to dark mode and have it be solid black. I loved the previous version where the background color would change to match colors of the album to the song I was listening to. Please bring that back! That was what made me fall in love with the app in the first place.

I liked this program initially, like other reviewers, but with the pop up ads that you can opt to skip only for 7 days closed the curtain on it. Since I have an expensive phone, you would think this program could continue to be not pop up ads. Disgusted. As soon as i transfer my play lists I'll be deleting it. Oh, and you can't move playlists either, even to another phone same program. So that always sucked.

I wish I hadn't downloaded the new update. I like this app, but they just made it harder to use with the new update. I can no longer tap the letters in the library, can only drag. And they got rid of the button to change album artwork from the album. I have to go into every individual song now and put it in, which wastes more time. I really wish there was also a way where I could modify the info for multiple tracks at once, because putting it individually takes a long time. Just my 2 cents.

I would have never thought that I would leave a review on an actual Samsung app - maybe a 3rd party app, but not one that comes pre-installed on a flagship phone (S9+). The recent update now contains ADS on your track listing amidst your songs, which is disgusting. I'd expect that from some free game you install to pass the time, but not on Samsung Music. For one of the top manufactures that charges $1,000+ for a device, I'd expect a bit more class. Horrible decision. Samsung sucks for this one.

Love Samsung Music! I love the fact that I can listen to music without having to connect to the internet and having to watch ads (provided you listen to only mp3's). Samsung, if you're reading this, one suggestion I would like to see implemented in the future is a better and more precise control of crossfading. Instead of just seconds, we should be able to do milliseconds, too. Please consider this as a better option for smooth song transitions!

Was the best. WAS. Now it's showing advertisements. Hell no. I didn't spend 1500 on a device to have to see advertising on a stock application. Samsung, you've pissed off a lot of people, and lost a few over it. Myself included. Since the original Note, I've been a fan, but I draw the line here. No more Sammy products for me. Now I'm half expecting my fridge to start showing ads. Hard pass, thanks but no thanks.

Been using Samsung music for years. Recently within the last year or so, sound only plays on the left earbud. Every other app I use, I have no problem, Netflix, YouTube, Firefox, everything is fine. But as soon as I open Samsung Music, the right earbud stops working. If another application makes my earbud make a sound while the music is playing, like messenger, the right earbud will work for the rest of that song, but then stops working as soon as the next song plays. Very frustrating.

I loved it before they changed the background to white, and got rid of the edge lighting. They could at least give us the option to change it if we want, instead of forcing it on us. - Edit to add - I do like the new dark theme, but I was more fond of the grey background, not just solid black. I would be more than willing to give 5 stars if they brought back the edge lighting as an option.

I used to love this app, but the last update seems to have removed the ability to jump by the alphabet side bar, so I have to scroll to find a song I want to play. Extremely annoying, especially while driving. I am actively trying to find a new app to use because this one just cycles through the same songs over and over, and it's too much work to scroll through and find the song I want when I am driving somewhere. I would go less than one star if I could.

A simple music player: it's easy to navigate and make playlists, and integrates with Spotify. The player is accessible from the lock screen, to pause/play/skip files. I am not a fan of the pink background tho. It's ugly and it can't be changed or turned off. Unable to edit file names or album covers, and unable to reset the cache. Also there isn't a "night mode" anymore. Will use this app until I find something with more customizing power.

I always use this app but with this update or not sure what there is a hug that needs to be fixed ASAP. When I click play it automatically stops and only sometimes works, also when it comes to Bluetooth it stops and when I resume it starts the song all over and stops mid way again. This is the issue I'm having and I've reininstalled, reseted the app, and even restarted/resetted my phone until I found out it's Samsung music the one with the bug. Please fix or give me a solution. I've done all.

Using a Samsung Galaxy A71. After last update, lost the ability to go straight through an album. Even if the shuffle is off, it plays as though set on shuffle. Track by track with the entire library, it plays chronologically, but in an album, it plays everything as random. Really frustrating when you have concept albums that are meant to play in order. Otherwise my favorite music app.

Wish there was a "play next" option instead of having to drag a song from the bottom of a playlist to be the next song. Also, when adding music to a playlist, it would be nice to not be able to select songs that are already on the said playlist so that they are not added again. Other than that, looks great and cool lockscreen. Also very cool that the whole theme changes colors based on the album art.

Update: since the most recent update the last 30s-1m of may songs are being cut off. Will update review if this is ever fixed. The music player is great, although it's missing the feature to select a track to play next. In one of my other favorite music players, Black Player, you can press and hold a track and then select play next from the pop up menu. If the Samsung player had a similar feature, I'd give it five stars.
