Description

The Samsung Print Service is a system tool that allows wireless printing to Samsung printers and many other printer brands by integrating Mopria technology. This tool enables users to print photos, web pages, documents, coupons, recipes, and files from their favorite apps without downloading any additional apps or printing tools. The Samsung Print Service is pre-installed on Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets, and for any other Android device running KitKat (4.4) or higher, installing this plug-in will enable easy mobile printing from the device. The Samsung Print Service supports many everyday apps, including Gallery, Photos, Chrome, Gmail, Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, Adobe Reader, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. To use the Samsung Print Service, users need to check if their Android app supports printing by looking for a print icon, checking the app’s menu option, or using the “Share” function. If the Samsung Print Service is not pre-installed on a Samsung device, it can be downloaded and installed as long as the device is running Android KitKat (4.4) or later. Users can turn on the Samsung Print Service by going to their device settings and searching for “Printing” to locate the Samsung Print Service. The Samsung Print Service supports many printer brands, including Brother, Canon, Dell, Epson, Fuji Xerox, HP, Konica Minolta, Kyocera, Lexmark, Pantum, Ricoh, Sharp, Toshiba, and Xerox. However, not all models are Mopria-certified. Users can control print settings, including color, the number of copies, paper orientation, and double-sided printing. When plug-in updates are available, the device will notify the user, and they can adjust their settings to automatically update the plug-in or accept updates manually. Overall, the Samsung Print Service is a convenient system tool that enables wireless printing to many printer brands and supports many everyday apps. It is pre-installed on Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets and can be downloaded and installed on any other Android device running KitKat (4.4) or later. Users can turn on the Samsung Print Service by going to their device settings and searching for “Printing” to locate the Samsung Print Service.

If I printed from my phone more often, then I would likely run into some issues. However, this print server managed to turn all the pages of a webpage from The Samsung Browser into a PDF, and if that wasn't enough, on a mobile device, which is noteworthy of praise. Hopefully, this PDF conversion function maintains consistency and reliability; after all, it was an officially published record the print service converted into a PDF, which could be easier than from other servers.

Works until Android does an update then it can't find either of my printers. Reinstalling does nothing. How does this app get 3.7☆? Simple. Someone installs it. Puts in a good review. Gets an Android update. Nothing. No followup edit. Hey, HP. Keep your software current.
