Be honest! It's basically paid app! Free version is useless. Even basic functions are not available and with so excessive ads it wasn't usable. So don't waste your time if you're looking for free app. Punchline is that the premium version is useless because can't turn my TV on and track pad is more like just arrow keys. Asked for review, now you got it!
Doesn't function unless you have the original remote to the device for the first time set up, which makes it a moot point. The when purpose of downloading an app that functions as a remote control (to almost anything) is almost unilaterally, to use in the event that you either do not have a remote to begin with, or you have a non functioning remote control. If I had the remote to the TV, I wouldn't download yet another useless app that I would end up deleting in a couple of days to save battery!
It's a ok app but why would you have to pay 30 or $50 a year You can get a controller for 15 bucks They can lower the amount down and I'll give them a better review and offer a lifetime one time payment. and the constant vibration when you're moving to the next app or whatever it is for next section on your TV is very annoying and I don't even have vibrate enabled on my device on my phone and you can't use a volume button unless you do a paid subscription that's stupid too
I have both a Samsung phone and a Samsung TV. The ads are annoying. I don't see the point in paying for the premium app for free apps I already have on my TV and have access to. The remote app doesn't even work anymore and my actual remote no longer works either. It says its connected but nothing happens. Not worth my time anymore. Fix it, or provide a simple app that actually works.
Do not use this company. The App is unreliable, and the subscription is expensive. The support they offer is fake. All you need to do is install the SmartThings app from Samsung onto your phone and you get the remote for free. Takes a minute to add a Samsung device and it can be anything e.g. tv, dishwasher, washing machine, sound system etc. This developer conned me, hopefully they don't con you too. Save yourself the hassle and money and just use the Samsung app which is much better.
Fine. Can't argue with results, it works as a TV remote. Turning the volume up 2 notches, getting an ad, changing the channel and getting an ad is a bit of a joke though EDIT: Dropped to 1 star from 3. I don't mind adverts. I don't mind paid features - but I just fired up the app to turn the TV off and apparently turning it off is now a premium feature. When I'm trapped under a sleeping baby and the noise is distracting or I need to take a call or whatever, I need this feature. Uninstalling...
Asks ₹2,950 per year. It's too expensive please install SmartThings and you can use it for free. You can add, remove devices, and give access to you family, friends. All devices are supported. Easy just 5 mins setup.
Every time I connect to my TV, it requires me to use my actual remote to accept the connection, rendering the app useless. Figured maybe if I spent the $10 it would stop, thinking maybe it was just a limitation of the free version. NOPE. Can't even request a refund, so I'm out $10 for an app that doesn't work as intended.
App works very well. It didn't give me many ads in the beginning, but after 5 minutes of use every single button press would trigger 10-20 seconds of ads. Premium costs far more than buying a replacement physical remote. Promptly uninstalled.
Got the premium app. Worked for a few minutes. When I turned the tv off, it wouldnt turn back on (no big deal). Once I turned the tv back on the tv wont let the app have permission no matter how many time I approve it. I tried another remote app and it worked fine. Cant figure out how to get a refund. Hopefully the dev's get back to me quickly. Will change review if problem is corrected.
Using it on a Samsung 4k 55 inch TV. App paired with the TV eventually after 3rd try but had to be on the same wifi network. Buttons work has accordingly. Slight delay on the button to TV communication but something you can live with. The bad part is it now and then disconnects on its own. But could be a network issue has well. Overall. The app does work well.
This remote app used to work well for my Samsung TV. It also served as a backup remote for controlling my Amazon Fire TV cube . Unfortunately, after Samsungs recent UI update ( version 4.1) this app is now completely useless. I open the app and I see my TV, but nothing happens when I push the buttons. I have uninstalled and re-installed the app 5 times and still no progress. This is unfortunate as I paid for the lifetime version. This needs to be resolved soon.
Terrible. Buttons don't work because adds pop up for the paid version. Response: I don't mind ads, but they pop up instead of the button functioning. Algorithm example, when you press the volume button and add pops up instead of the volume. Same with the power button. I wouldn't mind ads if the functionality also worked.
I thought this might have been a good app. So I decided to give it a try. When i opened the app it said use this app as a remote for your tv etc. When it said "select the tv you want to connect to" I pressed the one I wanted to connect to and it said "please allow access by pressing allow on the message that pops up on your tv" I waited about an hour for a message to pop up and nothing happened. So I pressed cancelled and tried again. Waited another hour and and still didn't work. Fix your app.
Are you kidding! I am using this app because I lost the remote. How can I select "allow" without being able to use the app to make the selection? It let me control it long enough to turn on the tv and select a YouTube video. Now I'm stuck with my TV on playing video after video with no ability to select "allow" on my TV. I can't turn it off.
Loud video ads are worst! Spent more time watching ads then using it. Want select a channel...bam! video ad, want change volume... videos again. Also the trackpad didnt work and some basic functions don't work unless you pay annual fee. Feels like it's intentionally made hard to use ....of course unless you pay.
My 9 month old son broke the touch part on my Samsung TV remote so we cant watch anything, because for some reason theres no left/right, up/down buttons, you just have to swipe the touch part. We have had the TV for about 10 years now, and I'm not sure if I can even get a new remote for it. With a google search, I found this app and it works perfect, so we can still use the TV now until it eventually breaks!!
Absolute rubbish. I got this to make it easier than using the remote and it borderline doesn't even work. Sometimes it just completely stops working, I paid for premium and I see NONE of the features except for ads gone I don't even see the TouchPad or apps, and I got this mainly because its a pain to type in things on YouTube with the remote and the keyboard feature doesn't work at all. REFUND
Summary: Nice & Clean. Feature Request: Type into TV Improve: Help It's a clean design. Easy navigation. I'd like a message when I long press a button, to tell what they do. Most buttons are self explanatory but there are a some I couldn't decipher. Supports almost all the controls except for a keyboard. There's no way I can use it to type into my TV, which is a pain and a major set down for me. I believe even the premium version doesn't have type capabilities.
Iv sampled many samsung tv remote applications. So far, this one comes out on top. Easy connectivity, unintrusive adds, and easy layout and design. I haven't been using it long, but it looks like a keeper. As far as needing an original remote to accept pairing if the tv has usb ports ( which most do), temporarily connect a keyboard and / or mouse, which also serve as wired remotes.
