Samsung TV Remote SmartThings

I would give it zero stars if I could. I downloaded this thinking it would make searching easier. I hate having to click repeatedly to get to the next letter on the screen keyboard so I thought why not get a remote app? This app is THE WORST! You click more than 5 times and an ad pops up. I thought this would be a good solution but it's way worse. Random ads just interrupt and open other apps. I understand ads on a free version but this many? Only had it open for less than 5 minutes.

I got this app because I wanted to stream a show that I could only access on my phone, and stream it to the tv. The thing is it only streams videos and photos, instead of accessing apps on my phone and casting it to the tv. The pros are that it was easy to connect to the tv, and the remote works well on my phone. Everything else sucks. I get ads live ever 2 seconds which is the most annoying thing ever!!

3 day free trial with ads? No. Just do a free app with the annoying ads. It would be better. I can deal with annoying ads for a free app. If I end up actually loving the app, which is rare. I will buy it or subscribe to it. But, I won't even try something that has only a free trial, especially, if it still has ads. Nope. And no thanks.

I tried to pay for this app weekly and was automatically put on a 3 day free trial. During the free trial about every 10 clicks.... an advertisement... I just wanted to purchase the app. Who cares about the free trial?! IMPOSSIBLE!!! As I used the app, trying to get through the advertisements, the remote became less and less operable. Now, the day before the free trial ends, I cannot use it at all. A pop-up keeps showing explaining the Premium app but you cannot chose to use it.

It is scamming app. After I instaled, and choosed language, pop up window poped and told that remote is not working properly and suggested to click bellow to get the "newest" version "update" button, it lead me to instalation of another app. which demanded subscription at $3.99 per week! It is?crazy! You can buy a remote for a few bucks and don't pay ridiculous high subscription with adds 🤣🤣🤣

offers only basic functions that don't always work but other than that, app is barely usable due to ads; there are often three ads one after another- exit sign shows seconds later (which is fine, for one ad, but not THREE IN A ROW) and when clicked, opens the stupid ad website anyway. it was quicker to just flip the switch in my junction box (in another room) than to wait for ONE ad to end. downloading this app will make sure you will never lose your original remote control ever again.

first step, allow access with TV remote. as I'm not retarded, I am capable of selecting allow on my TV and hitting the ok button with the remote. unfortunately every time I did so the app says permission not granted even though it was. so all I can figure is the app is garbage

It does work but the advertisements are an absolute killer, and it used (or at least pulls through) ads that try to look like they're part of the app to scam you.

Complete garbage app. Uses deceptive ads. It locks you out after a low number of uses per day. Makes you watch 3 ads every time you turn up the volume or change channels etc. Don't waste your time on this trash

Only for smart tvs. My fire stick remote died. I was able to download that app to use my fire stick but my TV volume could not be controlled by the phone version of the fire stick app. Since the fire stick remote controlled everything, I needed a remote for the volume hence me coming here; but this app is useless because it's only for smart TVs and my TV is not a smart TV. Save your space and look for a different app.

this app for my phone to become my remote was the easiest, fastest and effective app I've downloaded in a long time. it's incredible it does what it says makes phone into remote and it's easy to use.

This app is terrible. The free version of this app is is unusable because the ads appear constantly and take up the whole screen and they make you wait several secs. before you can close out of them. They want $30 for the lifetime fee. How about this? I give you a 1 star review and uninstall this app. Do yourself a favor and install the SmartThings app instead from the Samsung Galaxy store; that ap doesn't have ads.

If the app doesn't work on your TV and your attempt to cancel the subscription fails, they will charge you AU$8.99 per week (that's AU$467.48 per annum) in perpetuity until cancelled. Seems expensive for a TV remote. When you finally notice the charges and request a refund, your request is swiftly denied. Thanks guys!

I would also give this zero stars if possible. I did not authorize any payment, but account was charged. Somehow there is a monthly subscription that was added without my knowledge or permission.

too much ads, like you watch 30 sec before you can use it for like 10 sec. not advisable to use. ifyou want to rewind for 5 sec, tou need to watch an almost minutes of ads.

most useless app ever even when you pay for it. its constantly asking me to use a remote for my tv to accept permission for the app, whats the point of having a remote app if its going to ask me every 2 minutues to use a real remote?

never seen so much ads on an app, all of which with the false "x" button, free version will take you forever to navigate your TV or pay the £30.

forced to actually play mobile game ads where it takes you to the app page three times. also forces you to pay money to use the remote after 15 seconds of use.

tv keeps asking for permission to allow usage, so you need the original tv remote every time you try to use it anyway. Such an annoying outcome
