San Antonio Express-News

Won't recognize subscription. I have this app logged in all the time. When the SA Express sends push notifications or emails me, and I click on those links, it tells me to log in. They can't recognize that I have the app logged in on my phone. So then I go into my app (that I don't have to log into) and search for that article sent to me in the email or notification. And often, I can't easily find it. I find this app super annoying.

This app sucks because I can no longer read it on my iPad for some reason. There is nothing wrong with my iPad. I had it checked. Was told it's the app. I can read on my phone only. I have tried countless times to talk to express news customer service but no one can figure it out or help me!! What am I paying for??!! One year later!! And the App still isn't accessible on my iPad. Plus now my emails keep telling me I'm not a subscriber! Samsung tells me the Express News App is faulty

Awesome App. It's like getting the Express News paper with ALL of it's information straight to your phone. Everyone should subscribe and get the same San Antonio Local, National and World News right at your fingertips!!!

so far, so good. just got the app and it's great! easy to read. love reading the weather, local news and sports on it edited 10/7/25 app is still great 👍🏽 keep up the good work

I especially love the printed version view.

The app was updated and now kinda sucks! The features that made it lovable and easy to navigate are gone. You can't enlarge the comics or anything in features enough to see them anymore if you're over 50. Not fond of it anymore, and no one will answer the phone for you to complain to. This app is great and easy to navigate . It loads quickly and it's easy to find back issues.

I've always given high marks for the Express News app but today, when I absolutely needed it to view my friend's obituary, it's not allowing me access by saying that it recognizes me but wants to renew my (Current) subscription! And that's after two calls to their call center!

unable to activate. Help.

Although I often disagree with the editorial policies of the Express News, I admit news articles are fairly prompt even as they are at times journalisticly bias. One good example of a news article I read only on the EN app was a feature story about the opening of the new Vietnam Grunt Museum in San Antonio. Way to go!

Something happened this week. I am unable to sign into the app, even after uninstalling and reinstalling several times. Otherwise, great reporting and local stories when the app works.

Well written articles and a much better source for news than a lot of those major news sources. App is also straightforward to use. Sometimes has an issue loading an article but I've noticed that's more to do with my connection or ram 😭

False or misleading headlines, too many advertisements, too many stories that lead you through a rabbit trail page after page, and rarely getting to the point of the subject, and rarely completed. Many times the article freezes about half way through.

I find getting out of a story annoying. If I am reading a story in the online paper, the action that takes me back to the page, takes me out of the online paper completely. If I'm scrolling the news feed, the same action takes me back to the news feed.

Why do I have to be bombarded with ads when I have a paid subscription? Sometimes the ads cover content. Some of the ads are repulsive. But reporting the ads to Google doesn't do any good.

Awesome !!!!!! San Antonio Express App! Well written stories love the crosswords and comics sections . Installed the app on my I Pad that I take with me when I leave home to have something to read while waiting at the Doctor's or waiting in long lines at the Grocery store.

Update: It seems this problem was corrected. Can't log in. Very difficult to maintain access. Don't know if it's the app or miscoding on the party of Express-News staff.

I am regretting signing up for a subscription. The app will not work at all. The sign in link doesn't work. The link to sign up for a second subscription does, though. Something is fishy here.

App is great especially when we travel and aren't home to read physical paper. Like extra emails on weather and timely issues

We are fortunate to still have excellent journalism at a local level when so many other newspapers are being taken over. Thank you SA Express!

The app is terrible. Difficult to maneuver. Will not change new stories. continues to ask for log on information after one is already given it.
