San Antonio News from KENS 5

Need to work on commercial volume regulation. Originally was excited to integrate this app into my morning/evening routines, however likely will be deleting and looking for a different app. For anyone looking to have the news on in the background as you multitask to get ready, you don't want to have to keep going back and forth to lower the volume when the NOTICABLY louder commercials come on, and then have to run back to turn the volume up when the news is back. Volume regulations are ignored.

Most of the stories I see are 1-2 minute videos. I usually prefer a written story anyway, but the mandatory 15/30 second, no skippable ad, really doesn't make it feel worth it. On top of that, when a notification is more than an hour old, tapping on it will open the app but NOT take me to the story. I usually can't find the story I'm looking for based on the notification.

downloaded to enter the Sheryl Crow tickets contest and it keeps closing after you touch anything. guess I'm out of luck. you can't scan a qr code in an app anyway. I'm uninstalling

This app used to work okay but it's been upgrade/updated and now closes on its own after opening. I uninstalled & reinstalled - same result. Junk now - NEEDS WORK!

This app keeps closing. Barely stays open a few seconds at best. It is trash!! It doesn't deserve any stars!

The latest version will not allow me to add new locations for weather. The "add location" does nothing when tapped. I've uninstalled/reinstalled, tried by city, city and state, city, state, and zip code......nope. 🤔😮‍💨🙄

I've been watching kens 5 since I was a little boy. It's been my favorite news station for over 50 years.

Always up to date on everything from weather, breaking news, sports (love my Spurs!), and new attractions/restaurants to try out. Been watching some of these wonderful news anchors and journalists since I was a kid.

Like the option to watch live or to watch earlier episodes.

crashes just after opening after updating

ever since last update app has loading problems or just auto shutdown

normally this app is great and I love it but the past few weeks I can't even access the app, I get kicked out after a few seconds. I've uninstalled/reinstalled, restarted my phone, nothing has worked. I've sent an email to the developer but never heard anything back.

Volume is extremely low. Tried on several devices but can't hear playback without headphones and I'm not hard of hearing. (Edit) The closed captions are comically tiny. I wish I could add a screenshot so you can see it. Too many ads. My VPN blocked almost 1000 tracking attempts by this app and its partners just in the time it took to type the review by at least 6 completely irrelevant companies: Double verify Comscore Google Amazon Taboola Integral Ad Science

I am a huge KENS5 fan! I love the professionalism and friendliness of the newscast and I think the broadcasting of shows is excellent. The only thing I would change is that then I'm watching the NCIS replays you cannot hardly hear the commercials. But if you turn your volume up to where you can hear the commercials the TV program is blaring. But that is a small sacrifice for the service that I'm getting on the all Access service.

CrapApp. When an alert comes up, like a bit ago mentioned confirmation of two tornados in San Antonio, when clicking on it, it doesn't ever take you to that story, and you can rarely find it without wasting significant amount of time. Deleted the app. 1/22/2019 STILL a CrapApp. the only thing that plays on the livestream is a commercial then it goes blank and nothing! uninstalling it for the last time.

I don't like it. I can't find the radar like before for Del Rio, Hondo, Helotes, etc. I'm going to uninstall. Hard to navigate. I get notifications of news on my phone,I click on it, then I don't see anything about the notification. The app takes a long time to load. You have to see a screen that has Good Morning, Afternoon, Evening, takes about 35 seconds before the news. It wasn't that way before you changed App.

No matter how many times I turned off watch Ken's 5 live push notifications, cleared cache/app data, I installed and reinstalled it would still send me push notifications for watch live. It also wouldnt send any weather notifications even though I had that push notification allowed. A lot of lengthy ads, too many and too long even though I like kens 5 tv news the app needs some bugs fixed and the ability to skip ads faster like YouTube allows.

Disappointed in this app. Use to be able to watch the live streaming of the news. Now, I am not able to. Was wanting to watch the live stream of the weather when my tv signal goes out. But, it was no longer there. Please, bring that feature back.
