Screen Mirroring for Roku

If 0 stars were possible, this would get it. When it asks you to upgrade, even if you choose to stay with the free version, it will still launch the purchase screen as if you elected to upgrade. If you watch the ads, it will either load an ad with a "skip ad" button in the same place as the "reward granted" button for watching the ad making the app think you skipped the ad even after it's done playing, or the "reward granted" button just doesn't work. GARBAGE APP.

Already 1 star. Trying to force payment at the very beginning. We'll see if it even works. Edit: uninstalling on my TV and phone. I can't even move without the app trying to force me into the paid subscription side of things. I don't even know if it works or not. I simply can't move without having the subscription screen popping up. This is not a way to keep clients. This is straight pay to play mentality.

already pay for roku services and other tvs cast free without ads Edit: as a developer myself I get the time, but that being said why wouldn't you ask the one time fee upfront? and why is the 1 time fee for a roku based chrome cast service charged at the same rate as a video game? I am not being mean or irrational, but I go through pages of code and script daily as well as building 3D models and making them work. I understand the headache but this is not the type of app to charge high.

The app experience was hard to tell if it was worth it... They pay wall everything so that if you use the free version, it's basically a choppy mess..I took a chance and paid the five bucks for the upgrade.. It didn't help at all. All it did was allow me to cast the sound as well, but it was so far behind the picture it was useless. I changed the refresh rate, changed everything to recommended settings, and changed the TV settings.. Nothing helped. I just wasted time and good money.

It works, it took 3 hours to find the fix that no one talks about. Make sure you turn off all VPNs your phone may be on or it won't work. The quality is pay-locked and you'll only get a "mid-tier" quality screen share, there are good and superior quality above that, it shared very low end color and washed out photos on the screen. Video plays at 5-9 frames per second, and I couldn't get audio to play through the TV. I was very disappointed in the app

Yeah, the free version doesn't bother. It will ask you a million times to upgrade. It makes you watch ads, and it won't let you play sound through the TV. Sorry, but I've used plenty of free mirroring apps that are free that let me transfer the sound. Update: It just feels like you're just trying to bait and switch. Either offer a trail for free or don't offer a free version at all. It is less annoying that way. I'll pay for a good app in a heartbeat. Just not if I'm annoyed by Ads

I got 28, 10 second pop ups while I was watching a 20 minute show, and when they pop up the show doesn't stop. The pop up says something along the lines of get premium and there won't be ads, but 28 pop ups about your own product is extreme. Maybe if there was one 15 second pop up every 30 mins it would be okay. Other than this it was easy to set up, good quality, and I get that they need the income, but I wish the ads where less extreme. My suggestion would be 2 ads at start of each mirror.

I'm an engineer and have been trying to Mirror & Cast to my Samsung TV or Roku for some time. I had found nothing that works intuitively and reliably. This suite of Cast/Mirror apps for Roku does just that. There are free versions of the apps to try it out, but they are crippled by ads. You have to buy each app separately, but the price is reasonable and it's a one time buy. That's an approach that I support. Highly recommended!

It had really slow frames, and kept interrupting the screen sharing every 3 minutes and said it'll go back to sharing in 10 seconds. That doesn't make any sense, in all honesty. It's off putting and annoying. It doesn't make me wanna buy it, it makes me wanna click off. Also, when I scanned the QR code on my tv, it took me to the pro app to download, which has even WORSE ratings, yet costs money.

It does what's it says it does but if you are trying to screen record any type of video or movie, you won't have any audio unless you get the paid version. So if you want to use it for a slideshow or something similar that's it for the free version plus ads put in every so often. As for paid version haven't tried it, but then again the only issue is audio and ads in the free version so I know for a fact the paid version will work great. 👍 I'm just broke. 😂😆

Giving it three stars, not because I paid or didn't, because the ap literally DOES cast my Chromebook to my Roku tv. Maybe I can tweak it to make it useable, that's to be seen. Down sides are, it's laggy and blurry, (will try to troubleshoot more later) and pops a 10 second ad up over the entire screen periodically and it's not even that long of an interval between. Hope you guys succeed in making this unique and helpful ap. It'll be great to play my PC on my Roku tv

It's the most obnoxious app that I have ever used. I understand that it's free and, advertisements are necessary for a free app, but every 60 seconds, you get a message blocking your screen that isn't even an advertisement. It's them telling you to upgrade. The obnoxious approach that they took with this ridiculous tactic is enough to say that I will NEVER pay for their app and, I have already deleted it from my phone. It's not worth it. I wish that II could give Zero or, negative stars.

What's the point of this? You literally can't do anything with it. You open the app to use it and get a pop-up for the paid version. You tap "no subscription" and redirects you anyway. Only to cancel the purchase is to hit the back arrow. When you try to connect to the TV it redirects to the paid version. When you scan the QR code it redirects AGAIN to the paid version. What's the point of this?

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Bought pro version after using the free version for a bit cause the same ad for the pro version kept popping up like crazy, then after paying for Pro it started freezing the TV every few minutes while I was mirroring. At this point, would not recommend either but especially not pro. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

Disappointing. I saw bad reviews but figured I'd give it a try. Dont bother. I got it all set up and was ready to relax and stream my show. Finally connected and once it was up on my TV, the quality was terrible and all that was shown was a tiny box in the middle of my TV. Only took up half the screen. Whats the point in streaming it to my TV when the quality and size is better on my cell phone. Complete waste of my time.

Prompts to upgrade: When you open the app After you say no to that prompt A third time after you say no the second time After the first ad Whenever you click a button Ads: After the third timw you say no Any time you decline upgrading afterwards Btw, if you accidentally close the app or don't give it permission before streaming initiates, it gives you another prompt and decides to believe that you didn't already just watch a full ad.

Spams you with trying to get you to buy premium 9 times before you can even find out if it works or not. Once I was finally able to open it, it forced me to watch ads before it would connect then it came on, worked for about 6 seconds then froze. Total trash. Just a scam trying to take advantage of people. Should be removed from the store.

After clicking "X" on upgrade requests and rating requests about 8 times I was finally able to select a device. The image was EXTREMELY DESATURATED AND GRAINY on my 500 megabit wifi and lasted 15 seconds before crashing. Your reply doesn't address the real problem here. You would sell way more premium subscriptions if you didn't limit the quality of your product with ads. All I came away with is the assumption that your product is garbage. "8 times" was not about ads. YOUR UI did that.

I would give 0 stars if i could. do not download this app it is a scam there were popups every 5 seconds to buy their subscription and when you buy it the app becomes even more choppy and the audio feature doesn't work. i tried contacting their customer service for a refund and instead the customer service button tried to get me to share the app. waste of time and money.

They shouldn't even offer a free service. It's kind of a scam because it doesn't even have sound if you dont pay. Seems kinda like unnecessary strong arming between that and the flood of pop ups you get trying to force you to pay. I very well probably would have just paid the 5 for it to use it if it wouldn't have been for the tacky business tactics.
