Seated has made a lot of changes for the worse. Now, they steal your points if you are inactive for 90 consecutive days. They require you to link a credit card, as the only way to earn your rewards. this is obviously so that they can do more stealing (of your credit card information). Plus the app UI is horrible. It constantly shuts down on you. They removed the restaurant's hours, so now when you search for a place to eat, you don't even know if they are open for the time that you want to book

So I've been using the app for about 2 years now and it is my go-to reservation app. I kid you not, I've gotten over $1000 in rewards, which I used for travel gift cards and literally spent 5 nights in Europe for free. Some FYI: I live in NYC where the app has the most options, and even then is mostly in Manhattan and the west coasts of Bklyn and Qns. I really hope that they can expand. Fine dining, which is where you can earn the most, is limited, and the map UI needs updates. Still: A+

There's something fishy with this app. They're obviously spending lots of $ on ads and influencer marketing...but their technology doesn't seem to work, like at all. I've tried it 4x now (3 delivery orders and one reservation, which I did just to see if the issue was just with deliveries.) Each time, a fully eligible receipt was not accepted, and I spent 30+ minutes on a chat with their support to ultimately get it approved. Each time they said the receipt didn't initially upload in the system.

Update (10/14) - got a note from customer service that was not at all helpful. I asked them if they have looked into the reviews here saying Android version is no longer working for many people, but they didn't respond. Then they added a reward to my account which I can't use because the app doesn't work LOL. Going to uninstall the app. Can no longer open the app. If you have rewards, use them right away so that you don't lose them. Wrote to customer support but no response.

This app started off good, but beware...after being a user for quite some time, I earned quite a few hundred reward dollars. Due to a very hectic time in my life, I was not going out much and didn't use the app for 3 months. When I recently checked the APP, I saw all my rewards were gone. I reached out to customer service and they said that my rewards were gone because I hadn't used the App in 90 days. As someone who has used this app frequently over 5+ years, I'm extremely disappointed.

great for rewards, but they don't give you what they promise. you get notifications for extra rewards and discounts but it doesn't come true, so you have to spend time emailing to try and get the reward they offered. also booked multiple reservations for restaurants that were CLOSED. Showed up, in the rain, and it wasn't even open during that hour.

Terrible, terrible, app. The moment you install it, it will start bombarding you. No, I don't want notifications about trending restaurants 5 miles away it or even 1 mile away. And to top it off there is no setting in the app to turn these notifications off. It is almost 2020 and the fact that they shipped this garbage tells you enough about the company.

Beware, the app is great EXCEPT they pretty much challenge your receipts. We booked a table with the restaurant for 5 people and we bumped into our friends there so the restaurant were happy to join our groups as we both had reservations. When I went to claim the receipts for our table the app wouldn't honor it because the receipt had 7 people on it even though we split the bill.... They then informed me that I needed to contact them to make the changes to the booking when no changes were required. Honestly used the app a couple times now and haven't had a situation when they don't fight back and try not to pay you. Looking at other reviews it looks like it happens alot

I replaced my phone because it was lost. I installed seated and I can't log on because I do not receive my verification code by text. The forgot password does not work!! I really enjoy the app and use it at least a few times a month. Help!! I contacted support by email and they were able to resolve my issues.

The app started out good when I first got it but lately it seems like they don't know what they are doing anymore. I had a receipt rejected 3 times even though I highlighted all the info they asked for. I also have another receipt sitting in their review purgatory for 19 days. I'm gonna cash out now and delete the app at this rate.

Horrific experience. I received a promo code to be entered when signing up, but the signup page moved on before I even confirmed my password! Literally my password and confirm password fields were not matching when it created my account, and I had no opportunity to enter my promo code during or after the signup process. App also kept bugging me to allow location, not allowing me to do anything if I didn't allow it. Very offensive, malicious app.

Overall a good app. I've seen expansion of restaurants. What makes it 2 stars is that Walkins are overcomplicated. I made a reservation, it was cancelled probably because the restaurant rejected and said to walk in. Fine. Did so. Dined and then when i took the pic it was rejected becuase I didn't choose a walk in time and scan within some time limit. Its a walk in. Why did you punish me for not having a reservation. With a reservation there is no time limit. Reconsider the walk in reqs.

Most frustrating customer service. When there is an issue with crediting a receipt, you can spend more than half hour waiting to be helped. I ha e up and shut down the window. I might still have been waiting if I hadn't. They used to be much better and responsive. It's been downhill for the past year.

This was working fine until the recent updated. Every time I start the application, I receive an error "whoops" screen. I contacted support and was told my account has been suspended due to fraudulent activities and no other explanation. I have yet to even use the rewards that i received and all the places I went to had proper receipts. I do not understand what is going on as support is not providing anymore details. Until an explanation and solution is provided, this will remain a *. EDITED: Still no explanation as to why this occurred after contacting support. I can verify everything through my credit card transactions and have yet to redeem anything still.

Terrible app. It was working well until I upgraded my phone and then I couldn't log in. Stuck in an endless verification loop. I contacted support 5 times and they kept saying "we fixed it. Try again", but it never worked. Finally they said my account was suspended for "fraudulent activity" which is a total lie. I lost my credits and hours trying to get it to work. Good idea, garbage execution.

Just about the most miserable app experience you can have if you're looking for the restaurants that *are* in Seated but not located in one of the few large cities they list. It's literally impossible to navigate to any of said restaurants. I want so badly to help out those restaurants, especially since they're already paying a monthly fee to be included in Seated. Five thumbs down.

The app used to be good. Some brainchild decided to change it so restaurants are listed on the map by reviews as opposed to rewards, which is the whole reason you're using the app in the first place. You can sort the restaurants by reward but then you get a list of restaurants across all of NYC as opposed to those in just your neighborhood. The change has just obscured the rewards you receive which is the of purpose of using it in the first place. 🤔

This is a fantastic app. Many of the bars and restaurants I go to regularly are on it. The move from manual upload to linking your cards has made it even easier, so you can earn benefits without having to think about it, more if you add a place to your favorites ahead of time. It has a very wide range of redemption options that I think should satisfy most everyone. I don't quite understand how they make money, but I certainly hope they stick around!

App locked me out and then all of my rewards expired. The app began logging me into my wife's account even when I used my credentials and I couldn't get it back into mine. Once I decided to reach out to support to deal with it, all of my rewards had been drained due to expiry. The support team would not budge in reinstating them even though I couldn't access my account due to technical difficulties on their end.

Started fine, but now charged extra for reward redemption too. The rewards you collect cannot be redeemed for free! You have to pay for redeeming that as well. For redeeming $5 you need to pay $6!! Why do the reward system at all if you would charge for redeeming as well? A restaurant I like to order from had 20% Cashback in the beginning of this app launch. Now it is down to 6% and I have to pay to redeem my rewards too. It is no different than ordering a normal pickup/dine in.
