was in queue then randomly got kicked out, then went back in queue for 2 1/2 hours with out moving in the line at all, refreshed the app and everything was already closed and didnt even get the chance to buy a ticket. I even entered the waiting room 30 minutes before sale time!! Even just being given a # would've been enough to see if everything was still working and that I was moving in the line but no I just stared at a line for hours to not even end up with anything
Regarding selling: i listed my tickets and they didn't sell for a few days. I had a friend who would use them. So, I was able to delist them. however, I'm unable to transfer them or receive them back. the chat help feature is "unavailable" and the phone number is unpublished, but if you find it, they answer and tell you to use the chat feature. recommend avoid using.
Very quick to take your $ and very slow to pay your $. I bought tickets to a Dodger game before realizing I wouldn't be able to use them, so I immediately resold them at a small loss. The transaction went through easily, and according to their info, I was expecting to be repaid in two days. But after scrolling through many FAQs and an AI chat response--no live operator option--I am told to expect a payout 3-10 days after the event--more than 2 weeks after selling the tickets. Still waiting.
The phone app is very limited in its features for trying to sell tickets and making adjustments to the selling price. Specifically, you cannot use your phone to make price adjustments to an active listing and you can do things like turn on and off the "Smart" flexible pricing options. So you have to switch to the desktop version on your computer to make most adjustments to the sale price. Very disappointing -- I would give zero stars if I had that option.
An absolutely horrible experience. I tried to buy tickets, their system told me they were no longer available even after several attempts, so I bought other tickets, only to learn later that my first purchase went through. Having double the tickets I wanted, the saga continues with bad customer service. I was told they won't help without a screenshot, which I didn't have, and I should sell, so I did, but at a loss, and they refused to reimburse me for their fees. Bad product and support!
On the whole it's a great tool. However recently it will not let me purchase in app. When I called in to get assistance they told me to order on the website. The tickets showed up after that but it's really inconvenient when I do want to get tickets cause every time I try to open the website, unless I put in the full url it directs me app, which doesn't work. Haven't been able to use the app in 3 months even after doing all their trouble shooting.
Frustrating app that does now show you full ticket price by default. Whatever price you see on here at about 40 dollars for "fees". Not to mention when you purchase them on here half the time they just send your tickets via ticket Master and you are required to download that app as well to access your tickets. But also you have to wait for the tickets to be released and by the seller. This app makes it very difficult to plan for a game by throwing all sorts of hurdles in front of you.
Another app that solves a problem no one had. We always had parking structures. This app, like many others is just another way for companies to steal and sell all of the information in your phone to advertising companies so we can have hyper-targeted ads. On top of that, they raise rates based on popularity of the event. I saw my parking cost increase by five dollars over the course of a minute, and even then I was charged $15 for a "convenience fee". Nothing is convenient about this!
Terrible way to buy tickets! Got an email saying my order was confirmed and my tickets would be emailed. An hour before the event, still no tickets. Chatted with customer service that took 30 minutes to tell me they were contacting the seller to try to get the problem resolved, but we're unable to reach them. Finally took 30 more minutes to find me comparable tickets. We were at the venue the whole time and unable to get in until in and it was freezing. Barely got in on time. So frustrating!
Not very user friendly. The app sends you an email with a link that says, "click here to verify your account". However, this link simply dumps you back into the app with no instructions on how to proceed further. Then a page says it is sending a five digit verification code to your phone and you are to enter the code on the page. Unfortunately, when you retrieve the code, the page to enter it on disappears. So you have to send it again. And again. I stumbled on the page and finally got verified.
Trying to login the day of an event. App nor letting me. Not getting any of the emails to log me in or allow me to reset my password. Had another person try the same thing they are not able to log into their account either. The only support is a bot or to try to get help through email!!! This event is in 3 hours, it is absolutely ridiculous that there is not a customer service number that you can call!!! Bring back paper tickets!!
Everytime I go to purchase tickets, it says there is an issue with my account and it is unable to proceed. There is a hold on my bank account for a few minutes and then it reverses, so nothing wrong with my payment method. I've tried to chat, and it sent me to an article with more information. Ive tried email and it suggests I chat. Nothing gives me an idea of what the issue is and nothing has resolved the issue.
Perhaps just doesn't play well with my Moto G7+. Was able to install without any issues. When logging into the app with my password, I get a general error that says "something went awry" and when logging in with the "instant" option, I get a link sent to my email but upon clicking it, I'm taken back to the Seat Geek app with a message "could not authorize the magical link" or something similar. No issues just logging into the seatgeek website on my phone.
Same problem as everyone else, no credit applied and waited 3 years for the event to be finally canceled. They only cancel it when you tell them you can't wait more years. Events are way over priced and credit won't help whatsoever, if you do get it back... ya right. Filed a claim with my bank and instantly got my money back. For sure SeatGeek is a scam. I knew from the beginning and I'm glad I can tell all people looking at this review that you better keep your information far away from here!!
So far this app is not good. Create account online. Try to log in on app...."something went awry". Oh, helpful. Change password...nope still no luck. Okay try to login without password...nope, the app never opens when you click the link. Okay request support...nope, following the instructions for opening an issue leads me back to the same self service online useless FAQ. I don't know maybe it takes some time after creating an account to be able to log in on mobile. Going to keep fighting it.
If I could rate them any lower, I would. Their customer service is nonexistent. If you ever have any issues or need help resolving a problem, too bad you're SOL. They have gone far and beyond out of their way to make it as hard as possible for customers to actually contact them, and then when you do manage to actually send an email (no chat or numbers to call provided) they won't ever actually get back to you. 2 months, 10+ messages, still no response. Do not use if you have any other choice
While fees should not be anywhere near an additional 50% of the ticket "cost". Fees should, by default, be included in the viewable price because that actually represents the real price. Tickets were not $480, but instead $677. Once fees add more than a 5% increase, it should be included in the price. This practice is for scammers, not ethically operating businesses.
Anytime I've had any issues with receiving or transfers, the customer service has been horrible!! They claim they have a buyers guarantee, but it's only to serve them. I was stranded in a parking lot without tickets I paid for for 30 minutes, and their only response was that as long as they came by the game start time, I was out of luck! Horrible horrible company.
AVOID this app when you can! This company doesn't give refunds when their app has a technical issue, I have to provide screenshots as proof.. because I'm supposed somehow anticipate it happening. Customer service is an absolute joke! There is no number to call, the AI support is uselss, and they take a while to get in touch via email, and the responses appear all mixed up in each email its hard to keep track. Also, a lot of events you cant pick specific seats, they advise you buy the whole row.
Event in 8 hours! Where are tickets??? Purchased last year and event postponed. SeatGeek sent email that "there's nothing to do except adjust my calendar and show up." But when I go to view tickets or download, they're not there. Account history shows my order number, price, date and even that the event is TODAY but I cannot click on anything to access tickets, a barcode, nothing. This is ridiculous! I better get in to the show or refunded when I have to RE-purchase for tickets I already own!
