Seesaw

I cannot stand how convoluted the desperate parts of this app are bolted together in a "we never planned any of this out" way. "Messages" are tucked into the top corner and don't even open when clicking thru from a notification. The phone's "back" button doesn't register, allowing the user to go back to the message list after reading. It's difficult to tell who your reply is going to send to and could publicly broadcast to an unintended audience. The app feels like one big afterthought.

This app is so clunky and slow to use on a phone. It being the preferred way to communicate with my child's teacher makes it a very frustrating experience. It's slow to load, slow to respond to the selection to reply to a message, won't attach media (photos, etc). I also can't use the back button to get out of the app. Honestly I wish our school district would use another method. Seesaw is awful.

Great app to use for scool, but it is so hard to make the scroll up or down icon pop up. It keeps disappearing and we aren't able to scroll through what is in the journal. Can you please fix and make it always accessible? My children and I both struggle moving the mouse to make it show up and when it does we can't get to it fast enough before it dissapears again. So frustrating.

Update: I just updated the app and I still am unable to use the back button with the app. I initially loved the app. It's a great way to communicate with my son's teacher. However, I am unable to use the back button on my device anymore, I agree with others about being able to add more than one picture, and can you put teacher image announcements back in the main feed as well that was helpful for me to keep track of important information without searching for it in messages.

The experience is is pretty bad, in order to attach an image as part of an assignment you have to edit the entire workspace, and you can just delete entire class modules. Also links are huge tiles, but you can't actually follow the link unless you click on the little chain icon in the corner. Links to YouTube can't play inside of the app, instead punching out to a browser with no way to get back to the app. Maybe our school is just using it wrong, but that still means it's a bad user experience.

I've not seen the full potential of this app while communicating with our teachers and other fellow parents but I look forward to it! Also, wanted to mention I noticed a bug. When the conversation between teacher and parents (group chat) gets to a certain point, in am unable to respond to the group chat myself. I'm sure by other parents are noticing this too. Would greatly appreciate it if your dev team looked into this issue. Thanks!

1. I need to be able to add multiple photos at once. 2. I need the notifications and inbox to be separate. 3. I need do not disturb/out of the office hours. 4. I need captions to go back to how they used to be. It's harder to add them now. 5. I need add a photo to go back to go it used to be. You added one additional step to add a photo from device which is time consuming. Please separate add from drive/device/etc. again. 6. There are numerous other things I'd change about Seesaw itself.

My school district uses this program as an online curriculum for remote learning in grade levels prek-2nd. I like it a lot! It's user friendly for everyone! Speaking directly to educators: It has tons of Great activities to assign students virtually and you create your own! You can schedule activities on specific dates and times. The best is it's easiest for the kids. Teachers not so much. You kind of have to play around with it to know what works; this program has its limitations.

I love this app, it is so great for the younger kids to keep track of what they need to do. My only wish is that the kids account had an option to click on an activity and hide it or move it to complete. Some days the activity tab has 25+ items, but only 6 for the day and the rest are old but we can't move/hide them so it takes time going through them every time you click an activity and go back to the tab. Also my camera is zoomed in when I take a pic to add and I can't zoom out. NEED HELP!!!

Primary issue: the app is now only showing me the 3 most recent posts. This is super annoying. Other issues: As a primary teacher in a low tech school, I'm frequently uploading a photo for each child and tagging them, there is no way to do this in a batch. It's super time consuming. I have to make an individual upload for each child and copy and paste the caption. Using the assignment feature doesn't make it any quicker or easier either.

The app is minimally functional for receiving one or two pictures or videos a day from daycare to view. The whole class is 1 feed. QOL: After I view a video or picture and back out to the main feed, the tiles scroll wildly towards the present. I would like it to maintain the position in the feed. Due to this behavior, scrolling back further than two weeks isn't fun or practical because if you accidentally click into a photo or video, then it scrolls you back towards the present day.

keep getting notifications that something has been updated, but no way to know what when you go into the app. easy to miss messages not setup for android... the back button dos nothing meaning you have to press the "X" on the top left of the screen (bad for one hand use) when going through pics, the arrow icon keeps moving depending on the resolution the pic. needs to just be in one spot.

I have a teacher account and love this app the share photos with parents! the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I did a huge "photo dump" for all our students after our Valentine party and now I can't scroll past the last 3 posts I made in the class journal idk what happened! maybe I was too active I one sitting? super frustrating!

Very easy to use! Great way to communicate with my children's teachers. I prefer Seesaw over Edsby regarding ease of use.

SeeSaw is BY FAR, one of my FAVORITE Teachers to Parents, Schools to Parents Applications. It takes up little phone space(memory) and is so easy to use! It makes you feel connected to your child's school at all times. I am part of a Praying Mother's Group & I recommend this to every Elementary school I encounter. This is great for ALL SCHOOLS, Primary or even Daycares! It's been a lifesaver.

great app for students to reach out to teachers and do work at home especially for band and choir students but this app can about go to everything so if you are teacher get your students seesaw!

This app is so ridiculously terrible it's hard to know where to start. But, since I only have 500 characters, I'll start with the fact that it's now 2024 and basic navigation is impossible because the app doesn't obey back commands. I guess it must be too new a concept, seeing that the back command was only just introduced in 2008. September 2025 Update: Basic navigation still impossible. App deserves zero stars.

I'm not a fan of the app, the whole layout is just confusing and a lot of it doesn't make sense. the instructions don't tell you anything about the work. If you accidentally select the submit button you can't go back and edit it you have to ask the teacher to resend it. when you view photos it should be in an album style not go through every individual photo to find the one your looking for. I miss the old paper homework this is just rubbish. I hope schools don't pay good money for this.

the app experience is just terrible. it allows you 5 minutes of recording, where the homework for over 6 or 7 minutes. if you hit record again it delets your previous works. if the app goes to sleep while your child is working all your work gone. The zoom function just doesn't work, pen sensitivity is all over the walk. I've started to print the pages and record the homework separately and emailing them to the teacher, since the upload function just delete everything anyway.

Since buying a new phone, I'm only able to see 3 posts on the journal at a time. I'm a teacher using this app and need to be able to see all of my posts. Please help. My name is NOT Emily.
