This is the 3rd tracker we tried and I highly recommend using this if you have an elderly parent staying away from you. It's easy to install and runs well without any disruption to the phone. My mother loves the emergency option thats just 1 click away.
I find the app difficult to set up. My concerns with the app are: The app is not intuitive - You constantly do not tell me how to enter data. I couldn't even get the app to allow me to add my list of contacts. I found the video useless because the information is presented too quickly, so much so that I felt bombarded with information. When I sent a request for help with registration the answer I got was not clear. The presenter in the video spoke far too quickly. All of the data that was entered into the app on the video was greyed out removing potentially useful information. I also found the tone of voice somewhat condescending. I am a very intelligent person and I am fiercely independent. I have some knowledge of computers and would like to be able to set the app up myself.
I was hoping to use this for an inactivity alert. Turns out the paid version doesn't call or send a text to your contacts for that, only email. And who knows how soon or if that would ever get read. Because they'll soon learn to ignore emails from this app since it sends emails for app activity constantly. It's potentially dangerous that there's no indication in the app that your contact will not get a call or text, at the very least that part should be made clear.
I have started using the Senior Safety App to monitor my father's movement. He is having the onset of dementia. So far, I find the app is quite helpful. I am monitoring the battery life of his cellphone, and I really liked the feature where I can add up to 5 emergency contact numbers; these numbers will be called one after another during an emergency. It really gives you peace of mind.
I was just about ready to purchase but I cannot recommend it. I set my sleep times to only 5 hours to generate alerts and did not receive any for several days. This morning at 8:33 a.m. I received SIX inactivity alerts going back FOUR days. So if I had "woke up dead", I would have been laying here for 4 days! My system was online at all times. The only thing I'm interested in is the inactivity alerts since I have pets and live alone. I'm sorry but this app drops the ball.
The raison d'etre for the Senior Safety App is to keep your loved ones safe, especially those who have one of the many forms of dementia. Consequently, it includes features such as GPS location tracking, fall alert, inactivity tracker, geofencing tracker and alert, and low battery alert. It is easy to install and set up. And, the app allows caregivers to add emergency medical information such as diagnosis, allergies, medications, doctor's information, and emergency contact details.
The Senior Safety App low battery alert is a lifesaver for our family. Our grandmother is very forgetful & she often loses her phone. Since we installed this app on her phone, it allows us to keep track of her and her phone. It alerts us when her phone's battery is low so that we can make sure her phone is put on charge. Without this feature, she would forget where her phone is, and we would better to find it, making it a challenge to communicate with her.
I have used the app for about 6 months and have been reasonably satisfied with it. However recently there is a conflict with AT&Ts Activearmor security software which comes installed on their S23+ phone. I constantly receive blocked malicious traffic alerts caused by this software. Which causes the software to fail. Have had to uninstall it. My phone is running Os10 with the latest patches.
Fall alert does not work. Worked for 2 days then stopped. Reinstalled the app but still not working. Customer service just tells you the basic things to do which I had already done. Their final suggestion was to reinstall but as I said that did nothing. Would have been a great app if it worked.
It doesn't work. Customer service is no help. Their contact number has been busy for 3 days now. There are no refunds after the first 24 hours. If you try it don't pay for a year like I did. Just sign up for one month at first. You won't lose as much that way. The same refund policy applies to ALL PLAY STORE ITEMS.
Because of the COVID-19 lockdown, I cannot go out and physically check on my grandfather as I used to. Because he has the Senior Safety App installed on his phone, he pressed the SOS button when he fell last week and couldn’t get up. The app sent me a text-alert, and it phoned me. I was able to call the paramedics, who went to check on him. Fortunately, he was not seriously injured. The scenario might have ended badly if it weren't for the app’s SOS feature.
Great app, with important features I need & can't find anywhere else. When it worked it was awesome. The problem is they are apparently unable to link subscription payments to the app. They keep charging me, the app keeps saying I haven't paid. Extensive (and I mean extensive) contact with the developer has been unsuccessful in resolving the issue. I would encourage any competent app developers to take this off their hands and make it work. 10 stars for the app, -1,000 stars for the developers.
I recently started using the senior safety app, and it truly is a game-changer for ensuring the well-being of my parents. It's so easy to use for older people. The emergency response system was instantaneous which makes me feel better about delays in assistance. I believe it is a must have app for your loved ones.
First off, I couldn't create an account using my personal email address. Sent an email to their app support on Sept 12/22. Received a response on Oct 4/22 asking me to try a different email. Almost a month wait just to ask me to use a different email? Also I thought this app was for senior safety, do they not consider that the senior and their families likely don't have time to wait a month to gain access?
My grandfather has Parkinson's disease. He loves going for short walks, but often forgets where he is and how to return home. By installing the Senior Safety app on his phone, I use the geolocation feature to monitor him. And, if he gets lost, I can use his last known location to find him. The geofencing feature is also useful here. It alerts me if he goes too far away from home. This app has improved his quality of life. And, it helps me keep him safe at the same time.
The Senior Safety App is designed with your loved ones in mind. It is easy to set up once downloaded from the Google Play Store and consists of features like geofencing, fall alert, low-battery alert, and GPS tracking. It enables caregivers to remotely monitor your loved one's movements via email or phone.
Inactivity Alert function does not work on my Samsung S9 phone despite enabling all recommended settings by the app. Didnt realise this until I put the function to test, so I cancelled the subscription. I emailed the customercare and got no response till date. Very poor and unreliable service.
Tried the fall alert and it did not work. The fall alarm was the main requirement as for a young person that collapses. Senior safety is not the best name, but I realise why. I expected a better fall alert for the amount requested of $4.50 a month. Glad of a free try before you buy.
I am so thankful that someone told me about Senior Safety App,, it has already help me , I have fallen several and it' works. I need to know how to fine tune the sensitive part, sometimes when I lay it on the bed it goes off. It's a real blessing to me. Thank you for creating this app Bob Miller
