the app has lost its memory a few times but it's really the device that sucks. I have to recalibrate the thermostat every few months. all of a sudden I'll realize it's really hot or really cold. I bought separate thermostats to check these. Don't bother trying to work with them either. their thermostats are never wrong

Senseless App, No ON and OFF setting for thermostat. This is senseless. sometimes I want an OFF setting that overrides the temperature setting. No matter what I do I can't turn my thermostat off. These minimum temperature settings still turn the Heat pump on and no way to override. AC comes on and the Only way for me to turn it off is to go to the timer and set off but it will run again when that time comes. it is costing me more money. This is a poorly thought out, useless app.

Stalls for about 2 seconds each time I open it, it says "connecting" every time. I have fiber internet too. I'd like more detail in the usage. Update: it quit connecting to my thermostat. A solution was to reset the thermostat. Update, it didn't work. Insufficient data for the past 5 days. So I'll be getting an Ecobee.

I've had this thermostat for a few years and never had an issue. That is until today. I opened my app to adjust the setting of my thermostat and was greeted with a password change form. I didn't request to change my password. The app keeps telling me "Something went wrong.". I've wasted about 45 minutes trying to get my app to work. Uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times. The app is worthless now. Tried resetting the thermostat. but in order to set it up again you have to use the app. 🤬

Great thermostat, I've had it for several years now, battery life is good. I love the app and how easy it is to set up and use. If you connect it to your echo or Google device, you can request what the current temperature is set at and it will tell you, then you can change the temperature verbally by just telling it to set it to the new desired temperature. Adjusting the thermostat in the middle of the night without even getting out of bed is a plus! You can also program schedules to run.

Bug report: App will show me when unit is running and what the current temperature is without issue. but turning the temperature up or down on the app doesn't work. Reinstalling app will sometimes fix the problem for a few day's. What is the point of posting $200 for a smart thermostat that doesn't allow me to control the temperature remotely? Doesn't that defeat the point of having a "smart" thermostat?

Keeps logging me out. When I try to login it tells me password is incorrect. I keep my passwords saved in a password manager. Then when I try to change password, it says something went wrong. This has been ongoing for weeks now. Tried on several phones. The ads I don't care too much about. It's out of the way and I support them making some revenue for server costs but come on, fix the app!

This app is absolutely obnoxious. every time there's any issue with the thermostat, you have to re-initialize the entire thermostat, as if it had never existed. The other issue is that the Sensi Lite absolutely refuses to hold a setting without the app. You can manually change the temperature until you're blue in the face and it automatically goes back to the factory settings. Junk product, junk company. They probably are a great data mining company hidden in a terrible thermostat.

I changed my password, and now it won't let me log back in. I managed to connect my account to Google Home, so I can still use it through that. I can't, however, set up scheduling without the main app. Looking at other reviews, this seems like it's been a common issue for months now. For crying out loud, fix your app!

update: I appreciate the developer's quick response. Unfortunately, each time I click "about thermostat" the app crashes. I had a sensi thermostat in my previous home. I've moved and am installing one here. The app keeps telling me it can't connect to the old one, and I can't find any way to tell the app to forget about that one. I did try clearing data and cache. It looks like they want me to create a new account, which requires using a different email address. argh

The app has occasional instability and login issues. When login issues occur, it shows an error that says "Check your internet". However, switching to mobile data or another network doesn't fix the issue. I can only login once I've cleared the cache and open the app while on mobile data. Other than that, it's a good app with an intuitive interface. I loved the installation instructions and videos. It cleared up any confusion I had when installing my thermostat.

Good potential. Coming from Honeywell it was quite a change. Setup of the thermostat was easy. Lots of schedule options. I am annoyed I cannot set the time to 24 hour format. I took a star away cause I cannot set the hold for a specific time. I used this a lot on my Honeywell thermostat. When you want to have a temporary temperature the only option is to hold till your next schedule change. That needs to be an included feature.

If you ever lose your wi-fi connection good luck getting it back!! The procedure is horrible, confusing and doesn't work most times! Why is it so difficult to reestablish a connection especially since it says it's connected?? I would definitely go with a different brand if I had to choose a wi-fi thermostat again! Contact support... HOW?? How bout make it easier?? I'll help you... Don't do ANY of the steps to reconnect! Restart your router so you don't mess up settings that still won't work!

While the app is useful, I find that it isn't intuitive to change from one programmed schedule to another. You have to click Schedule, then Edit Schedules, then either Heat, Cool, or Auto. Then it finally gives you a list of your schedules within that type. That's annoying. I'm not editing the schedule, I'm just selecting a different one. That should be an option directly from the main UI screen. I've used this for years and that's still my biggest gripe.

So far so good. Had C wire but wasn't hooked up on furnace board. Fired right up after I plugged in the wire. Had me scratching my head for a bit when it wouldn't light up. Looks good. Still getting used to the app though. Updated It still seems great. There are a few things I wish it had. Something like the nest where you can add sensors for better accuracy. 8/25/24 The whole system went down and now it refuses to connect to wifi.

I really love this app to go with my thermostat. Lately, however, it seems to say it's offline when it isn't (I check through my router & on the device itself) or I will change a setting & it goes right back to what it was before. My phone has been alerting me to the app having high crashes as well. I hope that is fixed soon. As someone with a disability a smart therm is super helpful. Once bugs are fixed 5 stars for sure.

Overall this is a decent thermostat. However it has one major flaw, the temperature difference between when the temperature kicks off and then turns back on again to maintain a constant temperature is way too small. It is less than 1°. The heater it runs is constantly kicking off and on. There is a setting for a wider temperature range but it appears to do nothing. There is a remote temperature sensor available, but I'm not sure it would solve any problems.

The app works really great and is easy to use. For Pete's sake, though, where is the dark theme? It's super bright, and in this day and age, it should definitely be an option by now. Also, it has reminders in the app for maintenance. It would be nice if they gave you the option for custom duration, rather than being stuck with month(s) only selection.

This app worked decently enough for almost 8 years. There were occasional disconnects from wifi but it was always easy to get reconnected, until a few weeks ago. Now I cannot connect to wifi at all, so I cannot control the thermostat via the app, which is a pain. Not a bad app to have, but the disconnect issue is pointing toward a new thermostat now.

This is by far the worst thermostat. It refuses to connect. It fights with my home wifi and the actual sensi wifi. It says to just ignore the "cannot connect to wifi" but it doesn't give you the option to do so. If you get this and you get it connected, you better pray it never gets disconnected or you will be in a nightmare with sensi/Android. I highly recommend to just look elsewhere.
