SEQTA Engage

Slow, cumbersome to use, notification links in the OS typically don't translate to a working page in the app, and the back button closes the silly thing when I'm trying to get back to the home screen. It adds friction and complexity to my day and I dread having to use it.

Have tried this app on two Android phones. It's great having access to stuff that your kids generally wouldn't show you unless you asked. However, whenever you open a document, it opens a share dialogue instead of opening the file... Very frustrating. Can't believe this is still broken really. Also annoying that it doesn't mark notifications as read after you view them. So the only option is to clear all. My kids have almost finished high school and this app is still complete rubbish.

Extremely disappointed with this App. The App constantly closes, displays a network connection failure or just glitches and logs you out and doesn't allow re-login. The App is just full of bugs and is Faulty. This App is needed by so many parents for their children's reports and it's absolutely useless!! Reset my password multiple times, uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. The only way to access is on a browser. No place to report troueshooting too, ridiculous! Fix your software!!

App used to work, albeit quite frustrating. However it stopped working, saying 'no network connection' no matter what I did. I uninstalled and reinstalled as I need to use it for my child's school. This did nothing, the issue persisted. I tried logging out of the app and when I clicked to log back in it just takes me to a screen that says login unsuccessful. The only way I can access SEQTA now is through a browser. I have also had issues trying to open documents, it only wants to "share" them

Would give this 0 stars if I could. It's not a choice for me to have to use Seqta as a parent, so to have an app that is useless is something that really needs addressing. I haven't been able to use the app at all for weeks. Prior to that, I have the same problem as many here where I don't get notifications, even though they are turned on. I have to open the app for my phone to show I had an unread message. Very unhelpful, as I have missed so much essential communication from school.

Notifications work but whenever you click on them it never takes you to the post or assesment. You have to remember what class it was from, exit the app go back in manually and find the class and then open it. I've recently been logged out and now can't get back in, just get the loading circle spinning. Looks like I'll have to reinstall. This program / app is time consuming and frustrating, when it should be the opposite.

Terrible app. It's clunky and bloated - just like the website version. It crashes or freezes regularly. Logging in can be a pain. Navigation is appalling. Trying to register a new device is literally impossible! Connecting to app emails NEVER ARRIVE! No support contact details so I can't ask for help either. What a joke! The 1950's called. They want this app back.

Notifications arrive blank, and can be read a day later. Too late to respond to! Useless app. Generic emails would be far more useful - even though they would be more annoying, at least emails can be targeted to recipients. This app SAYS it is targeted, and this is not my experience! Also, the first time I open a PDF is says "format not supported", the second time it usually works. (This happens almost every time.)

Just awful. Mostly use it for notifications from school, but clicking on them almost always sends me to a blank screen. Sometimes it loads, changes background and then goes blank... but get used to blank screens. Even when using the navigation, it is exceedingly frustrating. The nav is confusing and poorly thought out. The customisable dash has very few useful options, and the info available to put there tells me nothing "at a glance".

App not working. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times over a week but still no luck. Initially stating no network retry but now doesn't open on my phone. Previously always had intermittent issues with accessing notifications. I would click on it and sometimes they would not populate. Good app when working but frustrating most of the time

Hate this app. Don't recommend. Wish schools would stop using it. The app is slow to load, or won't load content. It also requires me to email my child's assessment pieces to myself just to be able to view them because tapping on the item to view only brings up the option to attach and send it to someone. I also hate that it doesn't clear the notification after accessing an item (or emailing it to myself) so then I get emails telling me "a lot has happened since your last visit".

I don't seem to ever get notifications from this app unless I go into it first. Once I go into it then the notification comes up. I contacted Seqta to let them know I have that problem and they told me that they haven't got that problem at their end. Thats really not helpful at all. Apart from that the app is pretty good. It has a calendar of events page that you can add the event to your calender from. I can access school reports and have direct access to the staff via Direqt Messages

June 2023. 3 years between updates to address a few well known bugs/crashes - really? Being the Android OS, notifications are useless. Earliest versions of the app didn't send parents details of their child's assignments/tests/exams etc. Why do we need to know that? It's the child's work not ours. All we need is their results/feedback. Less than 18 months to go and my child finishes school; thus I can delete the app - HOORAY!

Can not get it to show notification reminders on phone, only when I open the app and then it starts pinging like crazy for each message received! Used to show a number on the app icon indicating I had unread message(s) waiting for me. Have fiddled with every setting possible and still can't get it to show. Not good as I regularly miss importance messages as I need to remember to actually open the app and check for messages, only then do I see the notifications...

Session expires for one school profile and it logs you out, asking you to log back in... and then it just gets stuck in that loop. can't navigate to other profiles, app's now useless. oh, still can't preview attachments in-app, you have to muck around downloading them first.

Notification let this app down. You come to the app from a notification, but the app doesn't show you the information. Even when tapping on the notification in the app. You have to click on an old notification in the list which comes up, this kicks the app into gear and you can go back and see a new notification. Viewing report has become hard recently. Reports will not download automatically, will bring up the share like menu for you to select a destination. Doesn't just download and view

I've got a new Samsung ultra 25 and the app won't even open. automatically shuts off when I go to put a password in or a code and then says the app is not responding. I have uninstalled, tried multiple methods to connect. I can log in via a Web page. I've tried through setting to connect to app, that also just shuts it down. its also now shut me out on my old phone

The app has stopped working on my samsung. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and the app just keeps closing as soon as I put my details in. just tried the app on an iPhone and it works so looks like a Samsung or Android issue. Also, while the app is a good tool its a bit clunky navigating around and the landing page is useless. It was also difficult to open any documents.

Really buggy. When I tried to o pen a pdf it would not give me the option to choose a suitable app to open the pdf. Instead it displayed apps to share from. I reinstalled the app and now crashes every time I scan the code to set up my login.

I can't even sign in! When I try and scan the code sent to me, the app just crashes. Also, sending only a QR code doesn't work when using email on the phone- means I need 2 phones (one to view the qr code and one to take the photo)
