This is by far one the worst Prepaid cards I've ever had. There American Express Pre paid card is literally useless. No one accepts it. I can't pay my bills with it. I can't shop online. I can't do nothing with it. It takes forever to transfer money to my main bank account. It's been 4 days and still nothing. Will never be using this services again. Going to Withdrawal all the money out and close account. People beware there card is useless and not accepted anywhere.
Cannot load money -- Never had an issue until about a week ago. It gives error message, 'try back later' when trying to add money. Both the app and website. I've tried my phone, tablet and computer. Evidently since an update, a lot of people have been having issues. Hope it gets fixed soon, otherwise I will have to find a different prepaid card. It's no good if one cannot add money to the card.
App was just fine until the last update. Now I often have to sign in twice, because it ALWAYS crashes on the first attempt. It's also gotten more difficult to navigate through. Getting to my rainy day account use to be much easier. In this case I think you guys should actually go backwards. Cause unfortunately going forward is making things much worse. Although, you'd think the opposite. Smh Please get it together guys!
I've had an account for many years. The last update removed functions I liked (quick balance, for example) and most times won't log in. To view my balance while at the store, before swiping, I now have to log in from internet. I uninstalled app and haven't used it in a couple months. Not happy. May end up withdrawing all my money and closing account.
It's horrible! Since I've gotten it I've only been able to access it about 3 times, I've had it for about a month and a half and I've never seen an app that is "down" or temporarily unavailable so much in my life! Talk about frustrating!! It would be nice if we could log on once in awhile and check our accounts. Maybe get an IT department 🤷🏼♀️🤬
2 years ago I didn't have any problems with the Serve app. But now I do. I can't add any money to my serve acct. Every time I try to add money. I get a pink bottom pop-up saying. " Oops this is awkward we are having technical difficulties. Try again in a moment." I've tried that several times on all my devices. When you call customer service. You have to talk to a customer representative in India. They should call it INDIA EXPRESS not AMERICAN EXPRESS. I no longer trust this serve app anymore.
Where is the quick balance option? It is not available in the updated version. Get rid of the "goal" because every time I log in to the app (which I have to do to check my balance, EVERY TIME) the goal is the first thing I see. The previous app was better. This is not an improved version. Another thing...Serve customer service is extremely poor. The calls are not answered or there is a very difficult calling tree to follow. But, then, this is a prepaid card. They got my money already.
Problems adding a new credit card to add funds after my registered card expired. I constantly get the message "Oops! Well, this is awkward. We're experiencing some technical difficulties, please try again in a moment." Well, I've been trying this for 3 days. I called customer service, who did nothing and are difficult to understand (seems to be located in India). I do not understand why American Express do not keep de app updated and usable.
HORRIBLE! I wish I had $1 for every time I seen the "oops, we are temporarily unavailable" notice on the website and app because I would have enough money to start my own banking service. The constant not being able to access anything because it's always down; can't check my balance, transactions or anything. The monthly fee should be waived for this headache and for transactions getting declined even though there's plenty of money in there to cover what I'm trying to purchase. Just HORRIBLE!
I hope I'm not too late. Do NOT get this card!!! Constantly puts restrictions on account with no notice for you to respond to and no way to chat online or in app. Can only call and wait on hold over an hour and hope their systems are up to fix the problem. Most of the time I don't have access to my money and they charge a monthly service fee!
Been a member for years. Went to use my account today, and all my linked accounts and bill pay accounts are gone and no longer linked. I used this account to pay some specific things, and now can't pay them and have to find another way to do it. What's the point of adding things to the app if you are just gonna remove them. Very poor. Y'all suck.
1 star, because I wanted to review. Unusable update. I have to agree with everyone who has said that the app should have stayed the way it was. Can't check balance without login in, the biometric won't stay (must be added everytime you use the app), my sub-account holders haven't been able to sign in on the app, transferring money to the sub-accounts was a mystery, took me a long time to figure that out. In other words you f'ed up by "updating" an app that was PERFECT in every way!
Like the mobility of this app how you can transfer from 1 account to another. Send money or take away. Unfortunately there are always technical difficulties that stops you from using. This latest update has erased my bill payee's which I have to put back in to pay. Dont know how that happen but it's a inconvenience! I then tried to go to actual website and there was an error online so still no luck. Don't know what's going on with them.
UPDATE: after the new app came out I have to change my rating to 1 star. They took away the quick balance feature and made it difficult to login to check your balance. The app crashes when I try to login. I'm very dissatisfied! Very easy to use. The "Quick Balance" slider means I can check my account balance without logging in. It's also accepted as a credit card by several online services. Very pleased.
For the most part the app has improved greatly. My only issue when using biometric, once you have logged out it immediately brings the login up to enter the app. I close it out but the next time I attempt to access my account the biometric is no longer an option. You have to go back into the settings. Please update once logged out it does not immediately want to log me back in. There only needs to be a "log in" button then the biometrics. Really frustrating!
Updated the app yesterday and have not been able to access my account since. The app says that it's down for maintenance and the website just shows me a spinning circle after login. Several days later and I still cannot access my account through the app or the website. This needs to be fixed ASAP. For those who can't access your account even on the web, there is a bad CSS style element on the page called bb-loading--fixed. Block that with a custom filter in ublock origin.
Why would you change, your app was working wonderful. Just couldn't transfer money to my linked bank account. Now I can get instant account amounts. The set alert tab isn't working either. Didn't keep my settings from the other app and the display looks complicated. If I wanted to view my savings account I'd just leave my money at home. That makes a person want to spend it. No way to have a sub/ savings account.
Won't let u go to the notification settings, it just bumps u back to logging in. I have been with serve for many many years, also have 3 sub accounts for my family and they can't even log into their accounts. These are not good updates. Cant quick look at ur balance any longer. Wants the email reverified but doesn't send link to email. Horrible updates! Like the old version much better!!
Horrible since the update few months ago as someone else review put it. Do not think of even attempting to call support cause it will add to your frustration. I will closing my account soon...too easy for your infomation to be compromised. I wish there a way to give negative stars Today I tried to close the account, there was no way to do without calling support which I don't have time for fights over the phone. I feel that some of the positive reviews are legit.
This version is supposed to be an improvement? Takes 2-3 login attempts before it opens. No longer has Quick Balance feature. It couldn't suck any worse.I guess this part of the redesigning of Serve. Maybe they should think about adding a chip. Several merchants I frequent no longer accept cards without one. P.S. I've bookmarked (widget-ized) the online login for Serve. It works better. But then again, everything does. Why is there no option to give it 0 stars?
