Great game but your pop-ups are SUFFOCATING. I'm not talking about the ads, your promotional pop-ups are an overkill. Every single time I open the app there's at least 5 to 6 pop-ups I have to clear before I can even start to play the game. Every time I click a different icon on the main menu, I get one to two pop-ups. It never used to be like this when I first started playing the game. and now I'm gonna have to clear more of them after I post this review.
This game is great- I've held off trying this game for one reason or another, but now I see that was a mistake! It's a great game- The visuals, art design, sound and music, upgrades, story are all very well done. The gameplay feels responsive, and the cherry on top is that the overall experience is that you will actually have a good time! It does have mobile gaming cliches like in app purchases, but they are done reasonably and seem to be fairly priced. Great story driven weapons fighting RPG!
The game is good an all. It's one of the best pvp games. But as soon as I started playing it threw me into battles that were real tough. I hate how I have to grind just in order to beat a character in the story. Most of the time, the characters in the story get stronger after each fight. Let's say you beat a character after trying very hard, the next character is 2x worse half the time. Most characters are so overpowered to the point where it takes me hours to beat them. But yeah, that's all.
WARNING: PAY-TO-WIN GAME. This is a very well-designed game with a very beautiful battle system. The artwork is phenomenal for a mobile game. The storyline is... interesting, but you're not really playing for the storyline anyway. The problem arises when you get to transition points of the game, either a boss fight or the end of the chapter. The game ups the difficulty. Either you tough it out for a few days/weeks until you luck out and beat the boss, or you pay for better gear.
I like the game, truly, but issues. 1: after a while, it's IMPOSSIBLE to get any stronger, you can't level up equipment because all you get is the common equipment and you barely have anything to power them up. 2: the AI fights just become frustrating, they are basically always stronger and they get impossible. 3: leveling up is SO FRUSTRATING! You have to beat chapters to level up, and it takes forever. 4: I have to wait hours, days just for better stuff. To get good, you have to pay, I believe
The first two Shadow Fight games are some of the best fighting games on mobile, period. The weapons and flow of combat is excellent, but this game is different. They've forsaken the interesting "shadow warrior" look and replaced the characters with ugly, dated looking 3D models. Great. Now it looks just like every other crappy fighting game on mobile. Good job. I played the tutorial. The fighting mechanics are slow and clumsy. I hated it and why am I a European in a knight's helmet? Uninstalled.
Pay to win. The game itself is great, the controls are simple, fights are fun and challenging, and the graphics are top notch for a mobile game. The problem is that the in game purchases are ridiculous. Who in their right mind would ever drop $120 for gems? Especially when the equiment you'll get from it will only be good for about 3-5 story fights, it wont ever upgrade with rewards, and costs an absurd amount of shadow energy which costs gems. If you want money, take a tip from mcdonalds nekki.
Play up until the fight with Sarge, then don't bother. From there the game pits you against a very difficult boss, and makes the "side quests" time locked. The paid progression wasn't too bad up to this point, it was comparable to a little kid saying "pretty pppllleeeaaassseee". Now the kid has gone into a full temper tantrum and refuses to leave the store until you buy them a pack of Pokemon cards. The only reason it gets a second star out of me is that, it's a good, well thought out game aside from the progression problems. The combat is very fluid and weighty at the same time, and I only have minor complaints about the hitboxes/iframes.
Not only does SF3 have a long and great storyline, it also has the best graphics I've ever seen in a mobile game. Personally, I don't have much problems with freezing, I think it depends on the type of device you play on. I've seen that Samsung players have less lag and freezing FYI. The pop ups i don't mind bc i can easily close them. This game does take some grind to progress if you don't pay, but I don't mind. The variety of armor and weapons is crazy, and I love the story line.
This game is good at the start but gets worse overtime. Certain weapons are basically meta and can stun lock you. Pop ups are thrown into your face to get you to buy items that might be op then but later are already weak. Asides from story missions, there is no xp gain, which means you either need to get the subscription for additional missions or buy better gear to defeat bosses. It is a waste of money in the long run. Dear god, do not pay to play. Its gaming structure is near unstable as is.
This game is fun and all, mostly early game. It's easy to upgrade equipment, and you could wear what you like. But late game (particularly June's plane) is just a MASSIVE grind. AND the fact that you aren't even able to upgrade your equipment until you unlock it AGAIN. I was fine having to wait a long time to get soul energy, despite the fact how hard it is to get a good amount, especially late game, as they'll end up costing 7k and above. But now,I have to get my favorite set all over again.👍
Alright look, I love the Shadow Fight series, great games, they're awesome. Its just that with this one, it's way too hard to progress. The amount of things I have to go through to get Shadow Energy to upgrade my weapons and armor is insane! So my only request because everything else is fine, but please, if I do a side mission or an event, give me more than just 15 Shadow Energy!! I can't upgrade any legendary stuff with that. I can't upgrade anything at all with that and I really want to.
The combat is very similar to the previous game- except that all your enemies do more damage than you, have more health than you, and tend to ignore more hits than you can. Not to mention whenever you get hit, you are in a stun lock that can destroy up to 40% of your health in just a few seconds. Pretty "okay" progression but the game's slow pace just screams at you to buy stuff to make things go faster.
Great game, lovely graphics, awesome weapons, nice looking armor and I think it has a nice story? The game progression is rather slow so when I finally get strong enough armor to continue the story I forget what's going on. It takes up quite a bit of storage and loads a bit slowly. Can have some pretty bad lag at times so I wouldn't suggest playing this on an older phone. You also have to accept a notice before playing agreeing to let them use and collect info from your device. I suggest reading this thoroughly before deciding.
Best confrontation game on mobile. Realistic movements, armour and tools. Customization aspects are elite. The game is free to play. So any money a player would put into the game is a choice. Some levels are extremely difficult. Good. If the level is open for you to play, you have everything you need to win and advance. Elite items usually take time if you do not want to pay. However, I just received the Sun Splinter spear after my 2 contest in level 1! Very well done game creators. Awesome!
Disappointed because I love Shadow Fight 2. If they incorporated the fight mechanics of 2 into 3 I would have probably given it 5 Stars. Cool storyline, side quests are decent. Equipment and Shadow Powers were okay. But I really don't like the fighting mechanics. It doesn't feel as fluid as 2 where it was all about the moves and timing. Here I feel like I just can't get a good fight when it's all focused on level/item rarity and some weapons are way OP in comparison to others.
This game is fun at first. But that's about the only good thing I can really say about it. The biggest problem is progression. The game starts off decently difficult but manageable. Then almost immediately you hit the mother of all pay walls. The difficulty of story missions go from "normal" to "insane" or "impossible" after only the first few. I get that it's a free game and the devs have to make money somehow. But stopping progression almost entirely to entice people is exactly the wrong way to do micro transactions. I'm talking EA levels of money hungry here people... I'm sad to say that if you're reading this review, my suggestion is to look elsewhere for a good game to kill time. Cause all this one wants to do is kill your bank account.
This game is literally pay to win and has unnecessary difficulty for newer players. seriously, when ever you get to certain points in the game. they'll give you weapons and items that will be totally useless as it's a higher level and when you get there it's weaker than what you have. And when ever you try to upgrade your gear, it's a pain having to grind for shadow energy just to do that and sometimes, you don't even get it!
The game a awesome but after about an hour or so, unless you have the money to spend on gems for loot boxes, you will get destroyed in every duel. Duels are the only way to improve your character enough to progress in the story. It's not any fun to get killed in one shot by players who have hundreds to spend on the game. I can't give a good rating in good conscience with such a high pay wall and unbalanced matchmaking system.
I like the narrative of this game, but sometimes it feels drawn out. Another thing I don't like is how after you beat the main story, you enter character's planes, where you have to collect an item again to be able to upgrade it. So in my case I bought a legendary set to help finish a plane, and then I go to the next one, and now I'm being forced to either pay more money or use non legendary gear. I suggest either a guaranteed way to get your equipped items from some source, or a new function.
