Couldn't get past onboarding. The app keeps throwing me an unexpected error message plus occasional crash during the onboarding process. I tried on wifi and on data. I uninstalled and reinstalled twice with no change. Chatbot was unhelpful and live support was equally unhelpful. The agent just told me to uninstall and reinstall AFTER I told him I'd tried that already.
Can't look at the shifts unless you complete on boarding. Which is submitting loads of documents besides your license number. Usually i wouldnt be complaining but I live in a rural area and other popular agency apps dont even have the facilities or hospitals on those apps so there's a high chance that the places near me may not use shiftkey. There's no point in me submitting loads and loads of documents including a background check if I cant even guarantee I'll be working.
The app was working just fine on my Samsung Ultra 22 phone until a week ago. I've cleared the cache, re-installed it, and restarted my phone. It takes almost 2 minutes to open, and by that time, the shift is gone. It happens on 5G and WiFi. I have to get signatures now also because it says geofenceerror. All my other apps and agency apps are working like normal. The app works just fine on my IPad, but I can't carry that around all day. I hope it can be fixed. Maybe an android issue. Not happy.
It's okay. I like the app, it's easy to use and understand. I have worked one shift so far and been paid without issue. One shift was approved and then immediately canceled and another facility is constantly requesting shifts, but never accepts bids. There are, unfortunately, no facilities close to me. The one I worked at was 76 miles away, which was a 90 minute drive. I would caution folks to research the facilities in their area using ShiftKey prior to wasting time doing onboarding.
I love ShiftKey! The app is great and the pay is equally awesome!! My only discrepancy, which is not ShiftKey's fault, is that as of lately, my shifts keep getting canceled after the facility has accepted them! That is highly inconvenient and annoying, especially when you're depending on that day's work. I called one of the facilities to inquire as to why they canceled my shift, and it was because they went with an internal staffing agency. So just be aware of that.
I'm so glad there's finally an android app for shiftkey. The app is fine, but not great. I'll use the website to upload cropped timesheets as the app does not allow uploads, only the option to take a photo. Most of the poor reviews I see here have nothing to do with the app. Onboarding takes about a month, thats just how long it takes. Use the website if the app isn't working. Don't give up on shiftkey because of app issues, I've been with shiftkey for over a year and I LOVE it.
Garbage app that some let you go past step 1 (seeing if there are even shifts in your area) without either downloading yet ANOTHER app of theirs, or giving them access to your bank account or card. When you finally give in and try to put in your card(s), it stops you AT THE END, saying something timed out, didn't work, etc. After fighting with this app for way too long and giving them way too much access with nothing in return, I'm going back to Clipboard, and the other hundred apps.
Well it was great at first. But I have a bunch of no call no shows, when they weren't no calls no shows. If you call to cancel they put you down as a no show and I've had a few facilities cancel on me and I got no shows added. Info isn't correct on my profile in that department. I've reached out but nothing is ever done. I can't get approved for shifts either lately. Moving on.....
Option to hide ineligible shifts always turns off when exiting the app. It's super annoying. Why would I want to see shifts I can't actually work, doesn't make sense. Uploading worklogs is a mess, they're always denied. So if you use the paycard option, it's possible you won't get paid for a couple days, even though using the paycard is because you want paid asap. Wish there was more information regarding facilities i.e. Number of beds, year facility was built, overall rating of facility etc..
Onboarding was the easiest part. Support is awesome....they always get back to you with an answer very quickly. My problem with them is this I don't travel 30+ miles for minimum rates so that leaves me with one facility in my area to choose from. I have bid on a few shifts with this facility but nothing is ever accepted so I haven't worked even one shift since I completed my onboarding with them two months ago.
TERRIBLE app, it will not connect to any of my bank accounts. I have called both my banks and they say it is on the plaid side that the problem is occurring. When I get a hold of shift key they just give me excuses, try it on your tablet, try it on your phone, try it on your PC, it does NOT work on any of them. Their customer service is almost non existent and very ineffective.
Easy to use, love that you can schedule your own shifts and make good money on the side. I've been exclusively using ShiftKey since June 2023. Yes, I do have to travel for decent paying shifts at times, but overall, this has been a great experience for me. Customer service is excellent and the app makes it easy to plan shifts and remain completely flexible. I'd recommend this to any nurse seeking to make extra money or try facilities out first before making a more permanent choice of employment!!
I'll get an alert via email & text message that an emergency shift is being offered, I click on it AS SOON AS I GET THE MESSAGE, and it's already gone. I just get the message that the shifts go fast. It's very frustrating because I can't go any faster than that and I'm missing these shifts. I dont know if there is a delay but I've got good service, app is up to date, I have a galaxy s24 & I'm close to my wifi device so I know it isn't my network or phone. I don't know what's happening here.
The app is ok for ths most part can be slow loading. What I don't like is waking up to find out your shift has been canceled. Other apps pay you 4 hrs show-up pay if they don't cancel within 24 hrs. We are penalized and get lower ratings if we cancel a shift but the facilities are not held accountable on their end. Also, these facilities take so long to approve a shift and sometime never approve a shift, it just expires. And the mileage location is way off by 20 plus miles for some facilities.
Don't even bother downloading this app. I completed the entire process only to discover the only shifts that come up in my area require you complete orientation first. I contacted Shiftkey to find out how we are up complete it and was told to call the facility for a list of orientation dates. If we have to do the leg work to call the facility, see if schedules are available, sign up for orientation with the facility, and Shiftkey get a cut off the money, you may as well go directly to facility🙄
App will freeze up while I'm on shift. when I go to clock out, the app won't load so I have to restart my phone then l have to get a signature as it says location services was lost dyeing the shift. this happens to me quite often. also there is a delay when notifying me of premium rate shifts so I miss out on a lot of those. it also runs my battery down pretty fast running in the background.
From the beginning this app has not opened to see shifts! I deleted the account and started over just to find out they still have not deleted my information so I can make a new profile. I've chatted several times with agents to get this fixed. CURRENTLY On hold over 25 minutes... no one has answered the phone. I'm STUCK, they won't delete MY DATA! So annoying. Poor customer service.
Nearly every time I reach out to the helpline for help, I'm always told I have to help myself and resolve issues with the facility myself. The rates have decreased. More and more I'm leaning towards leaving the app because the facilities are sabatoging the environment and ShiftKey does nothing about it but only cares about whatever reward they get from running the app.
Easy system with one major flaw. I wish there was a way to rate a facility. I wanted to pick up a few shifts on my days off, the facility did not disclose they had an outbreak. Now, I could potentially bring it to my residents, and my score goes down for canceling shifts. Its a sad situation.
I'd rather see whats in my area and not just miles from before i totally sign up. I don't want to waste my time for places that may not even be close to home. i have to add an un-needed cpr cert that most cnas aren't even allowed to perform. Im not going to spend more money I don't need to. And apparently my TB test is invalid 🫤 not gonna waste my time with this one
