I really like shopify for the simplicity/reliability of making websites. However, with the last few updates, it's been getting increasingly irritating. When I'm typing things, the cursor jumps around or just deletes everything I've written all together (this happens on my PC and phone). And the new meta fields are incredibly annoying- it just makes more work for me to have to delete what it's filling in or correct the information it's putting under my listing. I want to turn off all the AI input
I really like the Shopify platform. It's easy to use. However, this app is really spotty. I usually upload quite a few items in a row, and it just seems like the app can't keep up. Sometimes it kicks me out, and sometimes things won't load. I really hope they can update it so these problems stop happening, as I don't always want to use my computer.

They trick you into creating multiple stores , and after the free trial period is up, they make it hard to cancel. If you find a better app and charge you full price for multiple accounts, you don't even use. accessing our stores in order to cancel before the trial period ended was an impossible task when you forget your user name. Their is no link for resetting your login name. Just a bunch of confusion instructions that throw you into an endless loop. we made contact they were if zero help
Scammy. All products are overpriced. Several times, customers ordering my print on demamd products were charged but never received their orders. I spent more time refunding money than selling. I tried to order my own products to sell at art fairs. Some arrived, many did not. The customer service is no help and automated. How is a seller supposed to be successful with a platform like this? Don't waste your time as a designer selling your own work.
What happened?! This app used to work fine, but after the update I basically can't do a single thing. Printful no longer loads, I can't set up 2-factor, I can't edit my website, I can't set up Shopify payments, the list goes on. Not to mention the app is insanely slower. Please fix it ASAP, I'm investing lots of money into it and right now in its current state, it's useless.
I don't like the trial offer, what's the point? You can only do so much and it's over before you even get the first item up. And the main complaint though is when it's time to cancel it's always a pain in the $_$&! And they seem to never quit trying to automatically take money from your account and it's just super annoying too because, from that $1 trial offer, somehow I managed to subscribe to 4 more dropshipping markets that are all trying to auto bill me for a subscription i don't want
Shopify itself is a decent platform. You get a lot of help with things for the price, which is kinda on the high side. All the cheaper options don't allow you to really do anything, so you're forced to pick basic. All advertising is an extra cost, and honestly, that's the downfall. The only people who seem to follow you or click on your site are solicitors. I will again be deactivating my store through shopify. There are cheaper ways to be harassed.
I've had my Shopify store for over 6 years now and love how it has become more friendly with app integrations. I also love how I can run my store and manage my products on the go. Something has happened within the last few months when trying to enter or update product descriptions. There appears to be a bug. The cursor jumps all the way down the page and any text that was there has a massive amount of spaces in between. Then you have to close and start over. It's very inconvenient. Please fix.
We've had a Shopify store for a few months now. Our 29$ a month plan actually costs 40$. Ok, no big deal...but now I can't even use the Shopify app to add products. It wants them to have a bar code scanned. We're a small company who hand makes our products. We don't have bar codes. Thinking it's time to save my 40 a month and try Etsy again or just walk away all together.
So I've been locked out of my store for the last 4 DAYS because the "escalation department" is currently working on a ticket that was completed on Shopify's end for the past 3 DAYS. I have orders coming in I can not process, inventory that needs to be updated, and will probably be penalized for orders that I can get to and ship. No one can give me a time frame on when my store will be unlocked or anything. I'm just screwed I guess. Thank you Shopify.

There's a big issue with the app. When I click on search, to make an automatic discount for a specific product, when I type the product name in, it just show ALL products, instead of that specific one. There are no other products that I have available, that are listed with that name, not even in the tag. I literally just updated this app a few minutes ago.
DO NOTT get this app get square or something because when customers shop with you your funds don't go to your bank account they lock your account and keep your money!!!!!! I've had like two different accounts with them and they did it to me both times. They emailed me saying I was going to get my money on a certain date and I never got it and they stopped emailing me back and there's nobody to call for customer service they do it for a reason!!!!
For a couple of days now I've been getting a "Check internet connection" notification within the app when I'm reviewing a customers order and attempting to "prepare delivery" or "refund." These function buttons are not clickable. I've reached out to customer support and have heard nothing. Being a mobile, online business, the app is vital to quickly pivot and get orders processed. Now I have to get onto the laptop to process the orders, which really disrupts my order completion process.
It was ok at first. Then, chargebacks starting coming in weeks after the fact the items were fulfilled. Not to mention the order was not marked as fraud, like it does with most fraudulent cases. Instead, I was down big. My balance took a big hit, the support I talked to barely knew English, didn't help at all. They need to fix that part of their website and what not. Now a customer has my items AND the full amount that it cost back plus the extra $15 Good job Shopify, on to the next. Be wary.
I am new and on the free trial. I have spent 4+ hours creating my first store, mostly on editing my theme. I never touched the code, only adding/editing sections of the theme. It never gave me the option to hit the 'save' button in the top right, it was grayed out, so I figured the changes were automatically saving throughout. The changes never saved. I was looking forward to paying monthly for shopify and publishing my store. Now neither of those will happen. I am disappointed and dissatisfied.
Shopify looks promising in the beginning, but as soon as you try to deactivate store, they as for a password. The password you put will always be incorrect, even though you are doing it write. As you can deactivate the store, they will keep debiting the amount from your bank account unless you stop the auto debit. So before giving them the payment details be aware of the fact I mentioned above.
Best!! A lot of people think the fees here are more than etsy but I have had both accounts and after a month if etys you basically pay for the basic pack on here and let me just say that Shopify is much better. They're simple to use and they support team is incredible. I never got this much help and support from etsy. So if you're on the fence, just pick shopify. At the end of they day the fees are about the same for each site, but shopify wins with flying colors with everything else. 🖤💯
I was curious about e-commerce and started looking into it. Do not download this "free" app unless you plan to pay them $29 a month. I canceled the membership that I accidentally started (never even got close to opening a store) but they still charged my card. I attempted to cancel my account a second time but they charged me again. Shopify = dishonest thieves
Terrible! Most times on the site I can't login to the admin. It says 'site took too long to load' meanwhile my network is working fine. I tried other devices and browsers, the same thing. Now I downloaded the app thinking it'll be better but it's the same thing. I can't login. It's really scary cause I'll be losing sales!!!! And there's no way I can contact or email them personally without login in. You can only post or search for you problem on their website, which they wouldn't even reply to.
I tried to use Shopify, I learned more about drop shipping from My issue came when I went to deactivate. I was very specific that I wanted the store closed, it was said I had a balance. I was charged anyway and offered options instead of closing. I continue to state that I wanted to close. I was still being charged even though I requested the account to be closed in March. It took 4 months to close. They say they don't give refunds and the could not locate a charge
