Despite having a relativity's modern phone, the Recipt scanning doesn't seem to be working and seems to be the least if their interests. This app, as well as many, seems to focus on tracking the end user's shopping habits via GPS. It will be a cold day in hell before I let most apps track me. That is OK, I got four other apps on here that actually does work and does what this app is supposed to do. What? You thought you were exclusive on my device? Think again!
First time using the app, right after a shopping trip. First receipt, I get an "invalid date" error (what do you mean, it's literally from today). Second, I start getting a "looks like you have a network error" message (my network is working just fine everywhere else, so...) and cannot do anything else. It's not a good first impression and honestly gives scammy vibes. Will update if I find the app to be reliable at a later date, but as of now, I would not recommend it to anyone.
I'm always at stores and I love the reward options. UPDATE The app is no longer what it once was! The app used to automatically scan linked accounts, or you could click on it to scan them. However scanning manually is no longer an option and hasn't scanned my linked retailers in months. I've reached out multiple times and haven't received any response at all. Once I cash out my current kicks I do believe I'll be deleting the app.
New user here, thought I would give this app a try, seeing that everyone needs to save money nowadays..But this was a bad idea. First off I've had nothing but probably trying to use the app to scan products in store, and their GPS system for walk-in kicks is off. Also when you try to reach out to support, they always copy and paste auto replies which are not at all helpful. And lastly I have been trying to cash out for the last 3 weeks, and no progress/ update has been provided.. It's a no go.
Update: Customer service was very quick to respond to my concern. Bug is related to font size on my device. Reduced font size to smallest possible, then was able to Close the pop-up. Then reset my device font to normal size. "Most recent forced update has a bug where the Personal Data message covers the whole screen and nothing to be done to get it to go away. Unistalled, reinstalled, cleared cache, changed app setting. Pop-up covers my entire phone screen. Unusable until they fix this bug."
this used to be a fun way to earn points towards rewards but they did a huge overhaul of the app. now there is hardly any options as scans. there are so many glitches in the new version app such as scan options on one page and then it disappears when you go to the store page. scan options telling you that you are not in the correct store when you are. scans showing for a store and when you attempt to do the scan, it shows its already scanned. this app is not worth the hassle.
I would rate this application with five stars; however, it consistently freezes and displays the message "looks like your experiencing network failure." I was able to successfully upload three receipts before this error message appeared. I have already cleared my cache, despite having recently cleared the application's data. It would be beneficial if points were awarded for vendors not listed on your site.
the list gets smaller and smaller of what you can scan, and of what is listed, you can't find in the store (at least not at mine anyway). I have a suggestion for users of the app... if you notice you have quite a few things you can scan and you get a notification when you open that there is an update "update for more opportunities to earn points", don't do it, at least not while you are at the store. it shrinks the list of scannable items even more (learned this the hard way 😞)
I have had this account since 2018, Wake up one morning to no be able to use it, was told another account was set up under my phone number I've done everything I know to try to fix the problem I have lost about $30 in shopkick money. they will do nothing to try to help you get it straightened out, So beware of spending all that time and effort scanning and products buying products and then overnight it no longer works.
Do not download/use this. This company is DECEPTIVE. They allow you to use the app as intended(scan products/purchase products/submit receipt). Until it's time to get cash out, it then prompts you email them because your having difficulty to cash out. Only for them to respond that I have violated one out of many listed rules and that I will never be able to cash out. Not specifying what I did and when. Yet, I still have access to app to use as intended just can't ever get my money out of it.
worthless app, doesn't seem to do anything/ apply any sort of credit to users. confusing on what is supposed to work, how it works & all the little rules that seem to get broken any time you try to scan barcode or receipt. forget trying to do walk ins, it never accepts the actual walk in,despite stan ding in the middle of a store, Including places I dont even normally go. seems they move/change rules just to make it more confusing/use as an excuse to not credit user.
The location rewards barely work with the "walkins". I purchased a Samsung watch through the app via Walmart in December, it's now February, I NEVER received my points for it. I also synced online retailers, they never synced. I checked in on it one day because I was not getting my points, the page said "synced over 90 days ago", and there is no way to manually sync it. I contacted customer service and they were absolutely NO help. I got 30 points for the frustration.. this app isn't worth it.
The app worked flawlessly for me for years, now I cannot upload ANY receipts because I keep getting an error message saying "Looks like you are experiencing network failure", which I am NOT. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app and nothing changed. I have a brand new phone and I am still getting that message. I recently contacted them about it and they were very quick to respond and give me the credit but the rep said that it would not happen again, but it did and continues to be an issue.
I accumulated enough kicks for a reward by going to multiple stores to scan items,watch videos,take quizzes and even purchased items for sale on the app however when I tried to redeem my kicks for a reward, the app says there is a issue and I need to contact customer support. well I did that and first they said they fixed it but then when I informed them that they did not, they then said that they are pretty confident that I should wait 24 hours and then it might work. ?????? ridiculous. SC
I have not been able to redeem from this app. It won't load the page after I put my pay pal email in. Also i haven't been honored for my referrals. for an app that allows you to obtain points from shopping, they certainly are quite specific about which products they will give you points for, which really isn't too extensive of a list for each store. they do however have alot of stores that they work withso that's a plus.
I could never upload my receipts to get points for products I bought. It would tell me something went wrong and to refresh. I would then have to send an email with photos of the receipt to have the points added to my account. I finally decide to uninstall the app because it's not worth going through that every time.
This app is a scam. I had an acct and when it wouldn't scan an item in the store I contacted the site to fix the problem and the agent told me I was using barcodes from the internet. Online shopping doesn't have barcodes and I never did that. I explained that in an email only to be removed from the site and monies I had earned was never given back to me. I use a lot of the apps, Fetch is the absolute best and all have paid this one let's you shop them kicks you out. You've been warned!!
This app is great! Helped me pay for part of Christmas. It is easy to use and I like the variety of products. I would like to see more products with higher kick amount. Also, a number of products are locked up so inaccessible for scanning. A lot of times my store doesn't have certain items to scan.Regional? I mostly scan at Walmart, and my Walamrt is a superstore, so it does have more items than smaller ones.
Recently I started using the app consistently. Great app, easy to use, and accumulates points pretty quickly. You get points for 'walking in' to many stores, scanning codes for certain products, and accruing points; very easy. I did have a tech issue while trying to cash out. I contacted Shopkick through the app and received an email reply the next day problem was fixed. Great app, with great rewards, and helpful support when you need it!
I've used this app for about 5 years and always liked it. It was a really dependable app with great customer service. I don't know what has happened to them over the past few months but they are now one of the worst shopping apps out there. They've become so shady -- not paying out, deleting points from accounts OR issuing gift cards that we've cashed our points in for and then WIPING THE MONEY OFF THE CARDS BEFORE THEY CAN BE USED!!! I'm beyond appalled at how shady and low they've stooped.
