Shopmium: save money every day

Compared to the app & program this one replaced, it is poorly designed. You cannot do a search for a product. The closest you can do is check the bar code, which you have to have the product in front of you to do so. Cannot check if you're anywhere but the store. The groupings are too broad. Previously you could check by categories such as dairy, pantry, deli, beverages, meats, frozen, etc. Now you are stuck with an "Eat & Drink" category 🫤

They pick and choose when they give credit. Sometimes they give it for sales items, sometimes they don't. Very inconsistent. Also, if you accidentally missed the activate button before you buy the item, then they won't give you credit. Which is ridiculous. Don't have to deal with these issues with Ibotta. Also can't get a response from customer support

This service/app doesn't appear to work properly anymore. Whenever I attempt to submit a receipt, I receive an ambiguous message that says "An error has occurred. Try again later." I have replicated this on 2 different Android devices. Sending a message to customer support resulted in a non-answer to what was wrong. I am going to uninstall and move on. Don't waste your time.

Only on day two with this app and I already hate it... Claimed 10 offers on the first day... There was a problem with every single one of them!! Claiming that I had to have the product activated before I could claim it, I did. Said that they couldn't see the name of the store on my receipt, it was obviously there. Excuse after excuse why I couldn't get my rebates back. About ready to delete it. Not impressed.

So far so good. Payout was quick and painless. ($10 back so far) I do wish there was a way to sort offers, show new offers, etc. Could be deals but I assume that will take time to get companies on board. It's a very simple app similar to cdc but more basic. No extra activities, besides uploading receipt. I do like that I can submit receipt again for a forgotten offer. Would rate 5 but it's almost too simple.

The app used to be great until recently I started getting ambiguous errors when submitting receipts. I contacted support, it took them days to get back to me, and then they just gave me canned responses and never resolved my issue. I reach out multiple times regarding the issue and same thing every time. I lost out on $17 in offers because it wouldnt let me submit and they refuse to credit me, even though all documentation was provided. 0/10 experience with customer service

Don't waste your time with this app. They were great when I first installed, but the last few times I've tried to redeem items, it kicks it back, stating they need more pictures so I resubmit and resubmit and resubmit until I give up and they deny me because it took too long. Go with Ibotta, they have more items and it's much easier to redeem. Plus, when you have an issue with Ibotta, they actually answer you AND look into the issue, unlike Shopmium. Uninstalling right now. Trash.

Well it seemed simple enough. I downloaded to try it based on reviews. I got 3 items did everything step by step a week later still pending. I just deleted it. Not a lot of options either. Typically cosmetics and things I don't buy. I don't eat or drink. Not really worth it for me especially when app seems to always run in background no matter what. I will stick with Ibotta. My only complaint with them is after 5 years I finally got a friend referral and neither of us got the extra 10 bucks.

Warning: You might not be able to delete your account. It's considered a right that's only for residents of certain states. Unlike other rebate apps, redeeming offers is not as simple as just uploading a receipt. And there are too many restrictions in my opinion. And there aren't as many earning opportunities. And the welcome gift for the referral code I used required me to buy something. I regret downloading this app and signing up.

This app is a farce. An absolute rip off. The app was decent to begin with and then began a slow decline in its value, so I began to use it less. I come back to use it again & I'm found to have been deactivated. As blindsided as that was, I messaged asking why. Must be an automated email because it only got affirmed that I was deactivated due to suspicious activity. I was not active on the app for at least a month or so. How? I tried my best to appeal or speak with someone. No avail. TERRIBLE.

I have been using this App for about one week. I am not having the best experience. I try to shop online via this App, and I get error messages or I can't sign in, once I get to the App for shopping. I also have many items including this wonderful WELCOME offer that are eligible for cash back, and upon scanning the barcode, it says that NONE are eligible. I have never had this issue with the other four companies I use. I will update once I find out if they are going to compensate me or not.

It's ok, if you don't mind several steps more than other cash back apps require. To redeem any offer, you have to activate it BEFORE you make a purchase, and since there is no search feature, you have to scroll through all of the active offers to redeem. Then you have to take pictures of your receipts, which can take some time while they attach to the app, AND THEN you must scan all of the barcodes from your items. It's a pain because I usually put my stuff right away when I get home.

Got the app thinking it was an easy "scan receipt, get cash back" thing like Fetch or Ibotta. Lo and behold, not only do you have to scan your receipt, you then have to scan the product barcode. Meanwhile, I've already put everything away and it's more work for me to go digging for this stuff than the cash back is worth. I'll stick with Fetch and Ibotta, they don't have pointless extra steps to get your cash back.

Denies valid submissions frequently when purchasing MULTIPLES of the same items. i.e. purchase 2 of the same item, use a coupon in-store for ONE item and submit for the SECOND item to Shopmium (WHICH DID NOT HAVE A COUPON USED ON IT) and they DENY the submission. This never used to happen until recently. Now the automated system is frequently denying valid submissions. This takes a huge amount of time and effort to put in a ticket every time I have a denial. Please fix your app!

I rated two stars because this is the only receipt/rebate app pur of the several I use where there is no way to search for specific deals. I hardly use this one because I'm not going to search endlessly to find deals. I want to be able to search for specific products. Chagne this and I will use more and rate higher. The one plus side is that you can cash out at any amount. That is a huge plus. Unfortunately I don't have the time to just scroll and scroll.

Android user. Seems like a great idea. Been trying to use but every time I try to redeem and take photos of my receipts, it won't let me take multiple photos (button is there just unresponsive). It seems hit or miss on whether the app will cooperate or not. When I take regular photos of the receipts to upload (also an option), can't submit more than one photo. Frustrating to say the least. These bugs need to be fixed for me to use this app on a consistent basis. Please fix!

Not the greatest. Not many offers that I would use, often multiple purchases are required to get reimbursed. No "search" to look for products I use, so that I don't miss them. Some recommended checking ALL categories, but that doesn't help when I'm trying to purchase the brands they are offering. If I want to purchase bread and don't care if it's a specific brand, I would be glad to buy the one they offer a coupon for. Must take picture of AND scan each item. "Sort" button to find new offers.

It's ok. There is no way to have a shopping list separate from the offers. You have to scroll left and right which is awkward. It also doesn't let you activate an offer after scanning the receipt even though the receipt verifies you bought the product. The cards for the offers are too large and don't move when you activate so you think you are seeing the same offer multiple times. I have been using the app for 2 months and it's ok. It is better than using paper coupons, payment is fairly quick.

It wasn't that good. All the items seem to be high dollar and you have to buy multiples. I was looking for more food items and it seems to be mostly cosmetics, meds etc. Plus we are a small family(2) and buying 2 or 3 items to get anything off is not cost effective for me. I use Ibotta and it seems the best. Just looking for more ways to save and this isn't it.

Very cool app to get cash back on selected products. I'm very impressed with the auto deposit of Paypal. It doesn't get much easier. I'll continue using Shopmium! 7.22.23 Update to this app. Unable to add additional photos for receipts. I tried to submit two today with the same problem only getting half the receipt. I don't see a contact link so I'll wait for their email and waste more time with this.
