I love this shopping list app and would rate it a 10 if I could. It keeps my shopping organized and efficient while helping me avoid unnecessary purchases and stay on budget. In the past, I’d go in for 10 items and leave with 30. I also appreciate being able to add any grocery or department store and assign individual items to specific stores.
convenient AF perfect if you know your one that likes to stay organized but often find yourself leaving your list behind because your able to go to the store on a whim. I constantly think of things randomly that I need out of the blue. you can make multiple lists as well. one for groceries or one for beauty I own my own boutique and haven't opened yet so I made a list just for inventory. honestly it's saving me so much paper and ink 😭 and it's free because the gods know we're all broke out here
I've been using this app since it came out. I had a 5⭐️ review for most of that time, but I'm about to start looking for alternatives. This push to add gamification and AI into what was and should be a quiet, peaceful shopping list app is not only ridiculous and unnecessary, but also makes the app less accessible to neurodiverse users. Devs/Execs: Not everything needs the kitchen sink thrown at it. It's okay for an app to just work and not be performative.
If you have more than three lists, the 4th list is inaccessible due to a large ad covering the list. You can't scroll up and down to release the ad. There is no x to close the ad, it is just stuck in that position, making that 4th list useless. There are plenty of other apps out there doing the same thing without this annoying quirk.
Decent app. It has price, CATEGORIES, and more. The icons are taken from the standard phone emojis so the icon list has a bunch of icons u'll prolly never use (12% r food). The CATEGORIES don't even show up on the list as tabs so I'm not sure what the point is. As per our conversation, I shouldn't have to choose between categories and price. Lots of other apps allow both at the SAME time. Ooh wait let me find a better app. BYEeeeee
I have used Listonic for years. I love it for grocery and to-do lists. I understand the need for ads to help pay to keep the app free, but recently the ads have become so large that they take up half the screen. Very obtrusive and annoying, especially when you accidentally click on them. Keep the ads on the free version, but please limit their size.
Update: the ads went back to being unobtrusive, hooray! Original review: I've been using this app for a few years and it's been great. Reasonable banner ads, easy to use, useful organization options. But the last update added a huge Kroger weekly ad that takes up an insane amount of space, and the add button is on top of it. I don't even have Kroger where I live, and even if I did this ad would still be annoying and obtrusive. I know ads are necessary, but come on. This is too much.
I use this all the time and I have for several years now. However, when I select to organize a list alphabetically, it only does that for the unselected items. The already selected ones order themselves by the most recent instead, and it is highly, highly frustrating. It's the biggest negative of this app. So if you could fix it, it would be greatly appreciated.
Great app, very useful, I ended up paying the $10 for the lifetime access. The issue I'm having is, while paying for it only took away the ads and gave me most of the premium features, it isn't letting me use the font/theme change. Not a huge deal, but if I'm paying for something I would like everything I'm paying for.
My wife and I have been using this app for a long time. It's good for things like groceries, or home repair, or anything you need to make a list for. It has ads showing up at the bottom. That's fine, those have been there for some time. Today, however, I opened the app and there was an ad taking up nearly 20% of my screen. Making lists, with ads as a byproduct, is fine. Seeing ads, with lists as the secondary focus, is not fine. I'm not letting ads take up more & more screen space. Uninstalled.
My family has been using this app for a few years now and we absolutely love it. We can share lists amongst family making it easier to keep a single grocery list continuously running. We also use it for wish lists, home improvement projects, short term goals, and many other things. We just have the free version and the only thing I would change is the ad clicks. What I mean is there's ads that pop up on the page which isn't much issue, except if you bump it, it adds to your list.
I have depended on Listonic for my grocery list for years now. I don't use all the features, but it's made grocery shopping so much easier. And the photo option really helps me in regards to my wife's face creams and moisturizer. Listonic is the best. Pay the one time fee to have no ads, link your account to your spouse's account so they can add things too. Never forget a grocery item again.
I liked Listonic 📝 when it was first introduced to the app store because it didn't have a bunch of ads, and I could share lists 📨 as needed. Now I accidentally click on very disturbing ads, which will cause pop-ups that say "⚠️ your device has been infected with 3 viruses!" Obviously, this is ridiculous, and it makes my shopping experience less than ideal. The cost 💲 of eliminating ads is absolutely overpriced. Charge a dollar 🤩 and I'm sure many people would buy it. Uninstalling! 👋
Great app, been using it for a few years now. I'm a bit confused about other reviews saying the ads are intrusive. They are so small, on the bottom of the screen, that I forget they are even there. I tend to shop in the same grocery store so instead of using the premade item categories (frozen, tea etc), I added aisle numbers so my list is always sorted in order that I travel the store. Not having to go back and forth truly saves time!
Listonic is genuinely awesome! I've used it for years now for various shopping lists (supermarket, Target, liquor store, Costco, etc), stuff I take with me when I travel, books I want to read, and more. I love the fact that you can customize lists, customize categories within lists, sort by ABC or category order, and I love that it has a search function. It's one of the few apps that does what it says it'll do, and does it right and easily. And, they respond to email questions too!
This is the best grocery list app I have found. I can walk around the store with it open on my cart, checking off items so I don't forget anything. Like the categories. Wish I could arrange them in a different order, like my store. And would like to add categories, but otherwise it's great! Having problems with Listonic. The ads cover the last line so I can't get to it to see or clear. The font is smaller and difficult to read. Help!!!!!
Update: had to remove one star as now when I use either the app or the widget, it no longer opens directly to the list we generally are using, it opens to the LIST of lists, then we have to scroll to the list we want to use. It's especially frustrating asi generally use the widget, which displays the list I want to open, but it doesn't. Love it! So much easier than a paper list, especially when you buy the same things each week. Love that both my husband and I have access to update as needed.
I used to love this app but now it messes up all the time. About to go back to pen and paper! It will save some prices while not saving others. If you haven't bought an item in a month the price will no longer be saved! It will re-add items you've deleted or checked off! You send feedback and they expect you to some how record what it's doing so they can see. 😒 how?!?! There is nothing to record even if I could! If I could find another shopping app that tracks the prices I would switch apps!
My whole family has been using this app for well over a year now and it worked great. Then an update happened and now the list sync has been broken for the last couple of months. I rearrange the items to make shopping easier but within a few seconds the list refreshes and it's out of order again. Items that were checked off weeks ago, reappear. We had a period where the same items would appear that no one in the family added and they kept reappearing even after being deleted repeatedly.
Was the perfect app, with unobtrusive ads and a great user experience, but recently it started adding random branded items to my shopping list- my partner bought several items that we don't use, because listonic had added them to the list. They're branded, with sponsored pictures, so if it's a glitch it's a good one. This is worse than ads, it's deliberately misleading to get you to buy things you have no need for. I would never pay for the app after it lied to me like that. Manipulative.
