OK for keeping track of my workouts, but why does my Bluetooth music cut off whenever I log in? Notifications are turned off and no permissions are allowed. I can turn the music back on easily enough but it's kinda creepy. It also turns off BT music in my home when I log out after a workout at the gym. Makes me wonder what else it might be doing.
The program works really well for me. I have been in the program off and on for a while. It is my go to for workouts. I always navigated to silversneakers for low impact exercises. It would be great if they would have an area where I could keep personal messages, affirmations, health etc. I would like to refer back to help keep me on track with my progress fro day to day.
If you're a member of SilverSneakers and want to find classes at local gyms, you NEED this app. Without the app, sorting through the information can be overwhelming: First, finding the gyms that support SS. Then figuring out which gyms at which locations offer what classes. It's a lot of detective work, and this app simplifies the search. With a few clicks, you can find the gyms and see which classes they have. The info returned isn't perfect or fully detailed, but it's a good start.
Sent a message about the issue on reviewing a specific workout and not have heard or gotten a reply back, that's why I'm changing my rating to 2 stars. Customer service is very poor. When I try to view a specific workout on the app I get an error message "Oops something went wrong try again " When I do it kicks back to the home page and starts over again and I get the same error message each time very frustrating.
Works fine when you can log in, but frequently just goes in circles at log in. Have had to delete and reinstall several times. About to give up on it. 2/2/21 - Changed to one star as it has gotten worse. Twice, I have been able to log on, started my walk, even checking after a few minutes to make sure it was recording. When I finished these walks, it had gone back to the long on page, recording nothing. Am done with it.
In general this app is pretty useful. However, it does need the ability to customize settings. For example, the 'My Progress' week begins on Monday with no ability to change it to the calendar week, which starts on Sunday. Also, when entering activities such as walking or running, the distance must be entered in miles. As I do mostly 5Ks, it would be nice to be able to enter that directly without having to convert. One final suggestion. The app does not sync up with the Silver Sneakers website, which causes some duplicates on the website.
Great workout videos from begginer to advanced. I've done on demand videos from 10 minutes up to 45 minutes. Very convenient. You don't have to go to a fitness gym if you chose not to like me. You can save the videos you like for easy access to do them again. You get to save your progress to see your accomplishments. I earned a gift card for keeping a steady trend in exercising! I love it ❤️
I'm liking the app here. Used to have to write everything down on paper and hope I didn't lose it!! LOL! Now after I complete an activity I can just log it in and it's there. Silver sneakers can see what I've done and not only am I getting more fit than I normally would I also get the rewards without having to call them in. If you don't have this app, I would recommend getting it.
Excellent! I was skeptical of the app at first. But once I downloaded and configured it, the app works fine. The exercises and instructions are easy, unless you're opting for strength training. Then it gets a little more challenging. For seniors looking to get or stay in shape, this app is perfect. It's very senior-friendly and useful. It will keep you motivated.
Great videos and organization/interface. The few minor things I find a tiny bit annoying are that 1)the timer only shows for warm-ups so you need a separate device since the exercises are per time 2)some exercises don't have instructions (there's only one I've noticed so far that has actually impacted my workout, though) 3) for me it would be nice to also mark videos as want to try and unable to do/don't like Very minor notes for an overall great app Does use a LOT of data, though, so use wifi
Frustrating. When I enter a schedule for an activity it enters it multiple times. Same date same place same day. I get multiple reminders. If I try to delete an extra one it just adds another one. Same thing if I try to mark one of the multiples as skipped it just adds another one to the list. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it several times and it does that same thing. I sent a problem message over a week ago and have had no response. I will not use it if that is going to be a problem.
Very user friendly app! The Zoom classes are wonderful. The instructors are knowledgeable, encouraging and help me make the most of the class time, especially with the chat feature. I was pleasantly surprised by the music during each class. I never thought I would enjoy online exercise but this has been better than in person in many ways!
This is the best app I have ever installed for my health. I can breathe, walk, sleep, and work better. I am 72 years old and feel better than I did 20 years ago. The instructors are fun and compassionate. They offer lots of options for doing the exercises based on your own ability, and directions for doing the workouts safely. The classes are always fresh, showing that the instructors continue to renew their education, experience, and skills.
After all the hassle of installing the app, when I wanted to use it for the first time, it asks to log in. I did. It says wrong password and wrong username. I entered the right ones since I have just created it. Very frustrating. Waste of time. Though I love silver sneakers and all their exercises 😟
Use to be good until about 2 months ago. Now, when I schedule a class from the app, it closes the app. It used to give me a notice an hour before class to remind me of a scheduled class. Now, the notification comes AFTER I've already signed in on the web page. Even the web page is not working correctly. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app to no avail. Even updated my phone and still get booted every time I schedule a class.
Well the app is nice there's no problem with the app but I went to do one of the on-demand silver sneaker videos on YouTube and there's an ad right in the middle of it!! That's not for me thank you. plenty of other ad-free workout videos.
Can't open app from phone or tablet. It just keeps spinning. Have to use browser to enter the site. 1/28/21 - After calling in for support, sorry was the only solution given. Deleted app and reset password from laptop, cleared browser history, cache and cookies. I deleted the app and reinstalled. After the initial login I still can't login. An app that can't be used shouldn't even get 1 star. I see that other issues have been addressed by Tivity Health but this issue is a avoided.
Need simple login like biometrics. Way too many steps to record an activity. Do not need the start time, just the duration. You shouldn't need to rate an activity every time, and there are too many finish/ done buttons also.
I'm 67 and blessed to have been able to exercise all my life. I'm active, familiar with multiple apps (using several because I love variety & challenge), many of which I pay for services (Sworkit, Fitness Point, Daily Workouts, Daily Yoga & 7 Minute Workout). It's unfair when lack of knowledge prompts users to bash apps. Prior to Covid, I traveled all over the U.S. and Silver Sneakers with all of its benefits has been there for me. I love the app. Anyone with proper equipment should love it too.
I love being able to exercise online. Don't stop the Zoom workouts when things get back to normal. The app to record your exercise doesn't always work, it's a pain to have to keep trying to record my workout I have to keep uninstalling to get it to work. We have high speed internet and it doesn't matter June 8th I am still having trouble logging my workouts. When is this getting fixed? I hope all my workouts are getting logged July 11th 2021 and app still isn't working right.
