It almost had me fooled . The game was pretty good overall. I thought there were an equal amount of opportunity between having to pay for things (which I don't mind) and to earn items. My complaint is when a new seasons began, the game reset my storage capacity from 140 to 95. Now I have no ability to store any items unles I pay money to increase my storage again. I honestly feel that's not right. And would not recommend this game.
Really fun city builder, but really hard if you don't want to pay to play. Everything cost way too much to build. Required buildings cost a fortune. The materials needed take so long. I wish they would make one of these games you pay to buy and then everything is unlocked. If you wanted to actually unlock most things in this game it will cost A LOT!
All these games are getting so greedy they're hardly worth trying! This one is very restrictive-you have to fight for every.little.thing and eventually it gets harder (unless you have money to throw at it). Then later you're allowed a factory that only works if you watch an ad, of which you can't get out of without closing the app. Doesn't give you any rewards upon restart! This happened over and over. Delete.
Game is nearly unplayable at this point. They bombard you with ads that conveniently pop up right when you're tapping to collect items. Recently, they just have too many in game events and extra things incorporated into the game that they're causing issues with the server. The game just blipped out days of progress because it had some issue that is still ongoing. Cant decide if its the trains, event, or both, but the game is currently useless. Also no 'Are you sure' for SimCash.
The company finally made the game unplayable with this horrible Services 2.0 update. My husband and I started playing this game almost two years ago and were amazed at all the beautiful details. We were swept up by the contests, wars, and rewards and would even pay real money sometimes. In the past year or so, the game has become too much of a chore. There are now too many different types of currency and exchange rates. The game is supposed to be fun, not so stressful. Uninstalled.
Terrible update. Extreme cash grab. Ive been playing on and off since 2014. Im level 67 and won't be playing anymore. Customer service refuses to do refunds. Service 2.0 update means less space for cool buildings and attractions and such. Forced to spend more in game coins or cash to upgrade services. overpriced limited items. unrealistic time expectations to completes season passes. etc. Just Google the most recent reddit posts on the game. its not worth it anymore honestly. the game is dying.
Used to play this game alot, just downloaded again and honestly the changes are making me want to delete. It seems that everything has been set up to almost make you have to pay to continue to play and the bombardment of pop-ups to buy everything is very annoying! Looks like I will have to try to find another game that may be a little more satisfying. So sad 😞
Requires spending real money for the most basic parts of the city. little to no rewards to make it fun. Growth is incredibly expensive. The minute you get a few new citizens, you have to buy new power plants, new sewers, new fire stations. It's too much. And the initial objectives, 90% happiness, when the game doesn't give you enough money to buy all these buildings, makes it really frustrating. Not worth playing at all.
Loved this up until the 2.0 services update. It was already a grind to get items needed to really progress quickly without spending money, but it was fun enough as a casual play. Daily/weekly goals could get you nice perks but were by no means necessary. Been building my city up for the past few years. Now all my services are insufficient and I refuse to spend real life money to upgrade them. Sometimes you just need to leave good enough alone.
I have put a lot of time and energy into this game. I have built up four cities, purchased buildings from the different sales, purchased the passes, and so on. I built my cities thoughtfully with aesthetics and an internal story in mind. I had all my Sims happy and everything looking good until the services update today. Now I basically have to undo everything in order to make the new rules work. Not only is this costly, it also takes a long time. I am so annoyed I might just uninstall it.
Its a neat little game and entertaining enough, but it gets pretty overwhelming with how often it'll spam you for marketing and paying options. I've also noticed that when I open the app and all the ads are playing on the billboards and such, my performance slows way down and makes it almost insufferable to play, it's even caused itself to crash bc of this, yet the ads play just fine yet I can't even play the game.
The game used to be fun. There is a weekly competition of sorts where you have to do certain assignments for points. The game used to make them fun and fairly entertaining but now it is the same assignments over and over and over again. It gets really boring really fast. They also started to get greedy and if you want some of the cool buildings, you have to literally pay 10-20 dollars or more to attain them which isn't worth it at all especially when huge AAA games cost less. Not worth it.

I love this game. I have played for a few years. Recently went downhill. Have my regions and city all built up and instead of giving us more space they just reconfigured all of the fire, police, and health services so they take up considerably more space and cover far less. Not sure why they would do this. I suggest making sure you have the right configs before changing cities that have been running smoothly for years.
Forced to spend real money, or you don't progress. The new download was terrible. You have to upgrade everything. Then, you can be upgraded one day, come back the next, and have to upgrade more, with no reason. South Park did an episode about "freemium" games. EA didn't see that one, apparently.
it's an okay game it pretty slow first starting out the game trys to get you to send real money to go faster but other then that it a pretty cool game haven't had one ad come up yet. and if you dont mind it being a little slow it a pretty fun game you get to build and watch your city grow over time. I would give it a 5 star if it was so slow but everything else about it is a 5 star 🌟
I used to play this game back a year or 2 ago. I had a big city that didn't take me long to build. Now coming back to the game 2 years later it appears they have turned it into a cash grab. They force you to make super slow progress and sit at stand stills with the money in hopes you will use real money to buy in game money to move forward. This game is over now because nobody wants to sit and look at the same thing for weeks with no progress.
Very unstable. Half the time the rewards for watching ads don't appear. Unresponsive a lot. But it is fun to play EDIT: after the services 2.0 update, the game became unplayable. the city and regions I have spent three years creating crumbled in a couple of hours because the cost was more than the reward to revive it. I will probably not continue playing after this season is over.
the new update really sucks. it depends on how big you city was when the update hit but 3 days later I'm still trying to get everything back up and running. also all of the new paid offers and pay to play schemes the game takes forever to load, like the train menu takes forever to dispatch a train, game is now very laggy and once you open you are bombarded with 6-8 offers for paid content.
Constant and invasive advertising. The non stop prompts to watch ads for a variety of bonuses and awards in this game is just brutal. I feel like I'm watching ads every minute or two, and many times after watching a 30 second ad that lasts for 1+ minutes, with the aim of receiving some benefit, the benefit is not awarded. It feels abusive and manipulative. Otherwise the game is designed well, the concept is well planned, but there are regular traps laid by the CPU to set back your progress.
I love Sims City, so this was a major disappointment. Everything takes too long to process, and simoleons are hard to come by. It almost immediately got so bogged down with too little money, and not enough tools/materials, that it became a stressor instead of a relaxer. I've played it 3 times in the week I douwnloaded it, and only for a couple minutes. Even looking at the game icon repels me, which is not normal for me. I'll be deleting this game. Sadly the enshitification of EA games continues.
