Simeji Japanese keyboard+Emoji

This is one of the best keyboard apps I've used yet! Sure, half of the UI is in Japanese, but as someone who is learning the language, it only makes it more curious to use. The customization options are plentiful, and being able to watch an ad to get a keyboard theme instead of getting VIP is awesome. I also love the wide variety of kaomoji! I only wish there were more typing sounds, but other than that Simeji satisfies my desire for custom keyboards, thank you for your great efforts! ( ᴖ ·̫ ᴖ )

There are some minor mistakes in it, like cursor placement, when you need to correct a mistake. But i use it for English too. Best keyboard when it comes to features, like having the comma next to the spacebar, instead of on another page. This minor feautures make it indispensable for me. Website does not redirect to playstore however and it is untracable in Google Playstore by its name. Needs better tagging to find. Otherwise 5 stars.

amazing app for writing in Japanese, one thing that prevents me from giving a five-star review is no system level haptics available, the app just uses the default vibration, if added it's 5 stars all the way!

Do you have tech support who speak good English? My keyboard says "failed to save" and is dark, and the wrong color. Hard to see, and I cannot figure out how to save it correctly. 90% of the app is in Japanese. I do not read Japanese well

I've been using this for years, and it has been mostly good experience so far. But I noticed that in the Japanese keyboard, if you tap on the right arrow quickly after typing a character it would convert to previously entered word instead (which often resulted in what I typed on English keyboard even though I'm currently using the Japanese). And I'd appreciate for each language to have their own conversion preferences, especially for word prediction since I only need it for Japanese keyboard.

I don't use it as an English keyboard, but its the best keyboard for Japanese I've found. It actually has the hiragana and accurate Kanji recommendations for you. And doesn't make you type in the romanji to type, its super good if your still trying to remember kana. And keyboard themes are very easy to find. (The app gets easier to navigate when your understanding of Japanese gets better, though still easy enough to navigate with a limited understanding)

I've used this app for years, it's the best Japanese keyboard out there. HOWEVER I noticed some of the keyboard themes use AI art. It'd be so easy for Simeji to continue to support & pay artists, but now they're using AI trash for their keyboard themes. It's honestly incredibly disappointing after using this app for so long. Time to find a new keyboard.

The keyboard has great functions and all. Although, I find they Qwerty option for English kinda frustrating to use. The buttons on the bottom of the screen are counter intuitive to press, and the random apostrophe mark on the right of the keyboard besides the L is super annoying. But that's the only problem I have. I just wish you can customize the button placements for the qwerty keyboard a bit more.

The keyboard was nice at first but I started seeing some issues such as : the words being arranged poorly so I end up misspelling multiple different words ,the wallpapers are cool but they should also have a lock screen only option , it's difficult to find the kaomoji , and it's impossible to change the settings I accidentally set the language of the app to korean and I can't change it back to English ,and I do wish there were more language options

Missing 2 major features: 1. Auto-Delete Half-Space with Punctuation Mark 2. Clipboard I've been using your Simeji keyboard over the years through a variety of Android phones. I currently have a Pixel 6 Pro (Android 12). I'm a Japanese and like to use "Simeji keyboard" which is easier for me to use for Both Japanese & English... With Simeji, I can switch from English to Japanese typing easier/faster than Gboard and it's got many more options for BG for the keyboard as well. But ever since I switched to P6Pro, I can’t find Clipboard I loved when I had Samsung S20, and haven’t been able to find ANY Clipboard Manager app that would work for me… If you include a Clipboard feature within the Simeji keyboard AND bring back the feature of “Delete a Half-Space when I type a Punctuation Mark like “it used to be”, your app will be almost PERFECT!!!

Unfortunately, the keyboard is broken for me again. See previous complaint — Every time I select it, my entire keyboard disappears with no way for me to bring it up again. The only way to "fix" this is to restart my phone. However, once I lock and unlock my phone, the same problem occurs and the keyboard disappears again. Please fix this. I have been using this keyboard for a long time and would like to continue using it.

its alright i just hate that the only way to spell check is with auto corrrect since the predictive text doesnt work with typos. the cursor bar wont let me edit my sentence, so if you write a long paragraph and make a typo, youre screwed and have to erase everything up until the typo. the emojis are not updated and you cant change the default language or add others. japanese keyboard is good and i like the kaomoji. the format takes some getting used to.

It is a great app, im loving it so much. Although I have a few problems, I cant understand what this or that means since I havent fully learned the japanese language yet and Im hoping that you could choose whether the language of the app is english or japanese. One more thing is that the dictionary and the extra space in the keyboard really bothers me snd I dont know how to turn it off. Overall, Im still completely satisfied.

I sent a feedback through their app before but never got a response so I decided to report it here. Great keyboard who uses Japanese and English all the time. I didn't have any issues with it until they stopped removing spaces after inserting a punctuation mark (I have the Auto Space Insert function turned on for convenience). Since it comes in default on many English keyboards, not having this function is kind of a headache. I would appreciate it if you could fix the issue soon.

So far I quite enjoyed using this keyboard. Few suggestions: it would be great if we can customise the upward swipe shortcuts for the punctuations (those tiny ones shown above each keys) and would like to be able to delete words for learning dictionary through a long press in the input area. Still, overall a great keyboard to use!

This is the perfect japanese keyboard as far as i know. Plus all the beautiful skin customization and even can put custom image as keyboard wallpaper. Not to mention all the cute stickers and emoji also. This is suitable for intermediate and advance japanese learner to type things bcs there isnt "english to japanese words" things in here. Just a perfect keyboard for use. I would be very happy if dev can consider all the emoji and VIP stuff to be a "dlc" bcs of the overall size of the app.

Very good but Autocorrect can't be turned off suddenly? Please fix this is awful and keeps changing what I'm writing. This is a great app as long as it allows to turn off Autocorrect! I'll change my rating to 5 stars when this is fixed, arghh. Edit- Now working correctly autocorrect is turned off. 5 stars for you. Thank you devloppers.

I have been using this keyboard for years for Japanese input, and it's great for that. Recently they updated the keyboard to no longer allow keyboard switching, so I'm going to have to uninstall this thing just so I can switch to the Google Keyboard which I use as my main keyboard. Fix this and I'll improve the rating.

I am from Hong Kong, I am learning Japanese. I am looking for a 12-key Japanese keyboard with katakana support. I have tried Gboard and Samsung keyboard, all of them only have hiragana but no katakana. Why wouldn't a Japanese 12-keys keyboard just include a 'shift' key to simply allow switching to katakana input directly?! I think this is a very basic feature, unless you dont consider katakana a part of Japanese writing system.
