I got the 1 month subscription Jan 4th. I really like the features & no counting calories. The fasting isn't as hard as I thought it would be. I've been walking 30 mins or more almost everyday. So far I'm down 16lbs in 6 weeks!! I only have 7lbs to go, & at this rate, I will probably aim for another 5-10lbs. Super happy with the progress! The app keeps me on track with weight, food, water & movement Plz know that it automatically renews itself, until you cancel.
The Simple app was okay. Pretty good for reminders for water and minimal exercise, but the main part of the app is for fasting, which I was not aware of or have any use of. The food tracking is easy but after a few weeks, I decided it wasn't something I would use. I canceled my trial but was charged. I emailed them (per the review response)and was pleasantly surprised they refunded me. Be aware of what you are clicking on in terms of what you want from the app.The people in support were awesome!
The app helps with accountability, can definitely give you motivation & support. I've struggled with weight for a long time even though it doesn't show due to my height. Now I know when I'm dropping weight and why I'm dropping weight, which helps with my anxiety towards sickness. I give this app a 4 with some time it could get better. My only issue was the sign up. A lot more expensive even though everything was saying discount. It moved to the original Price. Not fun!
USES FASTING AS IT'S PRIMARY WEIGHT LOSS TECHNIQUE I got this app after seeing a few ads and paid the $15 for 1 month (which has to be canceled thru email). What they don't tell you in the ads, description, or reviews is that it wants you to fast! I hate that. I felt lied to. The nutrition score wasn't that accurate. However, the food suggestions were nice (but you have to use the AI chatbot to get them). I did not use the app for exercise but it looked good and well-tailored.
Not worth the cost. I can do everything the app does by using free videos online or the features that are already on my phone. Fasting is the main component of the app. The exercises are easy to follow but, again, I can find them online for free. I had a major shift in my schedule so I havent had time to use the app in over a month. But in order for me to cancel my membership it's going to cost me $30 vs the $15 for one final month. Absolutely scammy and waste of money.
I have tried several other weightloss apps and I am really enjoying this one. The cost is low which is always nice and makes it easier to try something new. I appreciate that this app focuses intermittent fasting, making good choices and encouragement rather than tracking calories. I haven't tried intermittent fasting before but it's been totally doable (I start around 6:30pm after dinner and then eat lunch). I've lost a good amount of weight in a month without tracking any calories.
So far I really like this mostly for the food logging. It does make it more simple than most. My only issue is my app doesn't have anything in the settings to switch to a manual fast or no fast day. I did reach out to support and she said she submitted a ticket for me. However, it's frustrating trying to locate something the app gives you steps to locate and you have to prove its not there by sending screenshots.
I find if I forget to record my fast when I start, & try & log it the next morning, it then deletes my previous entry for dinner the night before & breakfast this morning. I've tried entering them in several times & it just keeps deleting them. Plus it keeps saying my homemade items are high sodium when I don't add much salt. Not a fan of the food rating system. I'd rather pick items from a database & track my calories & macros. So I find myself using the LoseIt app for that. Frustrating.
This app is glitchy. It never logs my weight the way I enter it. It always moves the numbers up or down by several ounces. The pop-up reminders are out of sync with what's really happening at the moment. Like telling me to log a meal when I already had. Plus, they force you into a 'commitment' plan, which I didn't expect. If you're looking for a beginner way to track your weight, meals, water intake, and exercise, this is a good app to try, but not good for the duration.
Updated to 3 stars. In desperation I entered all info from scratch through to the subscribe section and there found a small 'restore' link at the bottom. There must be an easier way.Lost all data mysteriously. I subscribed and have been using the app daily. There are some minor limitations but all in all I was enjoying the app, that is until today when I find all my progress gone and the app asking me to enter my name. I find myself hunting for customer support - which is not straight forward.
I have been using this app for 3 days and I'm hooked! Blinky is adorable. it really makes me motivated to keep him green and cute and not Sad yellow or Sassy purple. What would we really take this app to the next level would be the ability to track and count calories. Similar to the app "Loose it!". Is it worth 70 dollars a month? I don't think so. once my introductory membership runs its course, I will cancel my subscription.
Trying fasting for the first time app is easy and intuitive to use. scanning food makes tracking meals easy. Logging hydration helps awareness of water intake. AI coach is very helpful, suggestions, positive support, and modifications as needed. Excellent info on how choices affect weight and health goals. good range of workouts, the short ones are easy to do in my busy life. Well rounded app, food choices, exercise, personal coach all in one I love it!
been using this app for over a year. loved it when I started and showed it to everyone I know but the long I have it and the more updates the worse it gets. when you put in your wight log it adds or subtract from what you enter. the apparatus you to pay for upgrades. they keep subtracting more and more free services. if it was 5 or 10 a month I'd probably pay for the full services and if the app worked correctly. it tells you the most random meals are healthy. I'd love to say more but no room le
They promised a free program for seniors, but didn't provide one - FAIL. I paid $20 for their shortest program and installed the app on my phone, but no icon shows up - FAIL. I set up daily reminders but don't get anything - FAIL. I essentially have to hold my phone in one hand to watch what I am supposed to do which is awkward at best - FAIL. In the world of physical products I would definitely be entitled to a refund, but here I am out $20 bucks on a bait and switch.
THIS IS AI SLOP. Terrible app. But I guess they got money out of me so who cares, right? Too much at once, constant popups when trying to figure out settings in the app, no way to go back through food log, log detailed nutrition or find help on how to access it. Waste of time and money. Thanks for nothing.
I really wanted to like Simple, but it wasn’t worth it. Tracking is inaccurate and hard to edit. The AI coach feels generic and not data-driven. The app pushes fasting without explaining why or allowing much flexibility. Workouts lack proper form guidance. Syncing is limited—my Fitbit data was unusable. Customer service wasn’t helpful, and the commitment contract locks you in. There are much better apps out there for free.
I found the tool as an app - average. I didn't find it intuitive. too much happening at once, and wasn't sure where I should start. it lacks actual guidance. it's great to track workouts, meals and water intake. even that experience was meh. the meals tracker isn't reliable, it assumes high sodium or salt where it's not actually applicable. the passive aggressive Avo is not at all helpful. it got sad when I ate too much of something and mad at me when I missed a day. ew for accountability
I'm a fan of Simple! I haven't been this low in my weight in years! I've used another app before to lose weight, but this is different. For me, its the accountability that's the key. With the AI coach, I can ask her what I should bring to the Superbowl party, for example, to stay on track, get recipes, read short snippets on weight loss and be motivated at the same time! Plus with logging what I eat & drink & getting feedback, it's a win for me.
Be very careful if you are just checking out this app! I started getting charged $59.99 every 3 months. I never committed to signing up for any kind of paid version. When I realized a second charge deducted, I tried to cancel my subscription. Not easy - there's no login to the app on your desktop, and on the mobile app there's also no way (that I can find) to see your account or make changes to your payment method - or cancel. There's no published phone number - feels like a scam!
I have been using this app for a week. The learning curve on figuring out how to log, and how to edit what I logged, was pretty steep for me. I do like the ecouragement and reminders, and have already seen some progress . i wish the app connected with my Garmin so I could track fitness. It seems to be pretty limited in the number of apps it will connect to.
