Great some of the time, awful the rest. desperately needs Fast Pass integration. it should not take you out of the app to see pass benefits. really, it's only reliable for getting into the park. But half of the time, flash pass/fast pass doesn't recognize you are in the park. this is more like a beta than a finished app. Ride time estimates are also wildly unreliable and inaccurate. very disappointing.
Can't do anything on the app, only scan into the parks. I thought the point of an app was to view, chnage, update, ect...Not sixflags. Everytime I need to do something, the app redirects to the website to then log in again and continue from there. Everytime I check another park, the pass goes away even with the multipark pass, the perks again redirect to the website, to then log in again! wild...
the app has so many bugs. I've spent hours in line for customer service and they can't help. there isn't a contact area for support. My passes show some add-ons with some parks, and not others. have to go to customer service every time I visit and they tell me they can see my passes on their end, but it won't scan correctly. They allow me to enter, but then food and drinks fail to work as they don't see the pass as being used yet. it's a nightmare transition. I'm sure 2026 will fix everything...
The last mandatory update killed my ability to log in. Now I can't use the season pass that I paid for because the mobile site doesn't show my pass. Maybe they would give me a physical pass, but then I'll have to stand in line for an hour at the customer service desk to find out if they'd even do that. Good rule of thumb: if they don't want your business, don't give it to them.
Just awful. ever since the merger, the app has been worthless. It will not led me download my pass and instead identifies me only by an old, canceled six Flags legacy membership. It does not allow people to enter their correct birthdates as part of identifying info. There is no improvement on the old pass, just more bugs and technical problems. It's a mess, but that's hardly surprising.
Broken app. It will not allow you to change to a different park to check the hours and days of operation. When the Carowinds app changed to this interface, it logged me out. It was impossible to get logged back in while I was waiting in line to park my car so glad I was able to pull up a screenshot of my pass in my gallery app. I also had difficulty finding my pass to scan on more than 1 occasion. I've since become more proficient at the app, but it honestly should not have a learning curve.
You literally can't use the app for anything other than to buy tickets. But wait! There's more! Once you do, you can't even upload them. But wait, if you try to submit feedback, you aren't able to. They haven't paid their bill to Airtable to even use the feedback forms. It's a complete embarrassment. I took screenshot but can't upload in review
Old version worked better. Required to give your DOB to create an account. There is just one small problem. In order for the correct date to appear in the box, you need to go through a calender and select the day after your date of birth for it to show up correctly. The app has been updated since and this problem is still there. Have Gold Passes for the 2026 Season (bought and activated), hopefully they will still be there when they get their app sorted out.
Ride wait times are way off and completely useless. Restaurant listings are outdated and inaccurate. By the time I found the actual place that serves turkey legs, they sold out of them for the day. It took us forever to get to a ride that the app said had a 15 minute wait and it was more like an hour. Overall, spent 3 hours in the park to ride one ride thanks to the incorrect info given by the app.
While the park rocked, the app is terrible. Details about ride wait times were horribly inaccurate. The details in the rides as far as descriptions go, are phoned in shorts, with no details. We had to supplement with the website and Wikipedia for details. Without a pointer, you spend a good bit of time retraceing your steps. You over paid for this app.
This app is terrible. The wait times were somewhat accurate until the lines got long then it wasn't helpful. You can see your location in the park on the map sometimes and navigation worked sometimes. The worse part was that navigation would give you directions to areas that were blocked off causing you to backtrack (a lot). Bathrooms were not marked. Reporting on rides that were open or closed was inaccurate causing us to think rides weren't available when they were. Physical aps were better.
I still don't have all my membership points since I had to cancel my pass to upgrade. The app is a waste of time when trying to check into rides, sometimes it never registers I'm in proximity and I miss out on points. It has nice info, I wish it would let you view a menu and inlcude what's a snack, meal...etc. vs just saying if the food place accepts the dinner plan. I can't wait to see what it is they're adding with the order food part of the app. The ride closure notices are almost never right.
The map is handy, as well as the pass consolidation, but the food service is terrible. " Skip the queue. Order on the app" so I do. I'm waiting until it's ready and then I'm told to go to the window. No pick up window so I have to line up and when I get to the front, they haven't even prepared the food and I have to wait. It actually was slower with the app. Avoid ordering on it.
I pay monthly membership for 5 people, all with dining passes. You cannot do mobile ordering from the app like in previous versions. Please revert back to the old app version until the new version can do mobile ordering. It's ridiculous you have to wait in line for up to 2hrs waiting for food. If I could bring my own food in, we wouldn't have that problem.
The app was fine, easy to navigate and had all my passes stored and I loved the almost accurate interactive map. Now the update has made this app a complete nightmare! And the little *keep an eye out for a map in the future*! What!? There was already a map. IF SOMETHING ISN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT! The new look is awful! Read the reviews of the people who use your product and do what the majority want!
WHAT THE HELL. Why would you update the app and delete our stored passes?! I'm a web engineer, so don't tell me it wasn't possible to migrate existing data from the old version of the app to the new version of the app. There's always a way. Also got rid of the in-app calendar making the app even less useful. I regularly reference the calendar to plan for future trips. Update: they added a link to the website calendar… better than nothing but the old calendar UI was FANTASTIC.
The app is very helpful in navigating the park, also when deciding where to eat or snacks to buy. It is a one stop shop for all. I only wish it was easier to upgrade to the dining package from it. I had a hard time trying before giving up and just buying food regularly. Although this was annoying, it was a minor frustration. Overall, I'm glad I downloaded the app! You can also collect points for your rewards super easy!
I can't add my pass even though I have an active platinum subscription that I've had since 2019. The app says it has items that can't be added, then crashes. I've cleared the cache, data, uninstalled and reinstalled... I lost my old physical pass so I can't scan it, but it finds it when I look it up, but can't add it. I'm standing in line at guest services currently and can hear the person at the window having the same issue.
The app used to be pretty handy. I love having the map on there. But, I think that might be it. My benefits hardly ever show up. So, I can't see what coupons each of our membership passes have left. I used to use my phone as the passes instead of digging through my bag for them each time. But, it hasn't been so convenient on my phone lately. Hopefully the issues are fixed soon.
The old app was working fine. Why did you update and break everything!? Map no longer works. Doesn't think I'm at the park even though I'm clearly am! Therefore, I can't order food through mobile because it says I'm not at the park! Also, the old map let you navigate from your location to your desire ride location like you would with a GPS. Now, that functionality is no longer available; you'd have to manually go step to step.
