low accuracy. this has been my go-to app for many years now, but suddenly this year the speed tracking on it is completely wonky. I might chill down a groomer and it tells me that I went 70 mph. I've tried on installing it reinstalling it, updating it, fiddling with the settings. I'm done. this does not give an accurate representation of your ski session.
Amazing tracking app! Very easy to use, and has exactly what I need. No weird subscription, and $2 if you want without ads, which is a great bargain! It keeps track of my trails, the elevation and speed. And it knows when you're taking a lift and shows it as a separate category. Will be recommending this app to friends/family
Good stable app. Works well. Pros: the tracking features seem to be mostly accurate with only a few occasional glitches (maybe my gps reception). Fast lap feature works and is fun. Number of lift rides is good. Cons: doesnt track total vertical (just high and low) as other ski tracking apps do. Battery drain is high to get the data. Full battery to almost dead in 5-6 hours of skiing.
Been using this app for a couple of years and been really impressed with it. No hidden costs, it's not crammed with ads, accurate data and not a huge battery drain. Wholehearted recommendation!
excellent app tells you all the info you want, perhaps the only thing is if you could see your speed at certain points in time rather than just your average and max, then you could see how fast you went down a certain slope
Accurately records #runs (unlike other programs). Font size for some important data (like total vertica) is way small for older skiers like me.
Way too many ads to be really useful, and has a high battery usage
Very good tracking app, I've been using it since the beginning of this season. The only problems I found is 1.Sometimes,very rarily, gps screws something for w second and for example you have max speed 180kmph... 2.Common problems is that me and my friends often forget to turn off tracking when we are back at the car,and therefore our tracking data is ruined by car max speed and highway length🙄 It would be nice to have option to cut off the end of tracking(and new max speed) at selected position
Really good at basic ski tracking, much better than the buggy Epic app.
The app works well, but watch out for the tricky ad scams. At the bottom of the main screen, there was a big "OK" button. I clicked it thinking it was part of the app's enrollment, but in fact it was an 'ad', for a scam site called digital-memberships-premium, which charges 39.99 a month. Canceling the subscription is impossible. I had to cancel my card to stop it, which is a major pain. Maybe this is not the fault of the Ski Tracker developers, but it sure leaves a bad taste.
the app was very nice and worked very well during the skiing. there are some things that could be improved: 1. as everyone mentioned already, I forgot to turn it off one day and it continued to measure until home. it would be great to be able to trim the recording. 2. in the history, I don't see the average speed in a specific day. 3. why is importing a gpx file not possible. I forgot to record after lunch and I would like to import a gpx file from a different device.
Used to use Ski Tracks until they got greedy. This is the best alternative I have found.
Great app, would love to see say a people version which supported auto backup to google in the future
it's a great app u could add more things but premium doesn't have something in plus ....is the same...
Horrible experience with ads interfering with the ability to use the application.
I can't help myself, but it's loosing GPS signal. It's "jumping" up and down, making weird spikes in the elevation. I tried it with 2 phones, both with the same results. Perhaps some data filtering would help. Another thing is watching map itself. Zooming to some detail makes it jump to somewhere where the app thinks is correct position.
I have bought your gold version app and I am surprised how little information is presented. No total vertical meters skied, no avarge rate of descent, no average run length, etc - nothing much in fact. Is this data behind a hidden menu or simply not available. On the plus side, it is very stable indeed and doesn't kill the battery. Aside from that I am disappointed - since competitor apps do more.
Still needs some work. Since the last update suddenly the number of runs is completely off. Distance and elevation are okay and the map shows correctly all the runs, but instead of 18 runs it shows in the summary now only 2 runs. It would also be nice if one could customize the summary statistics. E.g show the # of runs, distance, elevation per day per month and per year. Import of data is still not working.
Very nice app, it tracks each run very precisely and has a really good map feature while not draining too much battery.
Great experience, I do love the app. Lower power consumption that I expected. It is very accurate since I compared to my satellite tracking app that I have from Garmin. Only complaint I have I can't edit the data files, if I forgot to stop it after snowboarding, it continues to record and I see 70 miles hour max speed :-). I wish there was a way saying to delete the time recorded after certain time.
