This game is amazing, but once you've played a few times, it gets very repetitive. Since all the cosmetics are so expensive, you're in a constant state of candle running and grinding. It's hard to continue playing this game after you've been playing for a while, it's just a collecting game atp. Since all the game's items are so overpriced, we need to grind daily just to afford items. On top of this, there are irritating bugs that have been there for years that haven't been fixed.

Definitely my favorite game so far. recommend by a friend multiple years ago and I'm just getting into it. It's rough when you first start out, but eventually you learn a routine and are just able to enjoy the peaceful story and music, while helping other players who were in your same position a while ago! Beautiful graphics and wonderful morals: teaches lessons of kindness, growth, and simple understanding! Not p2w whatsoever, and no ads! *WiFi connection necessary unless you want a pop-up! :)

Update, it's been 3 years. I still absolutely adore this game. I love the controls, the graphics, the storyline, the community, the music, and even the grind. Controls are intuitive. Graphics are stunning, sometimes so stunning my phone overheats. Storyline for main game and Seasons are beautiful and world-building. The community is the most welcoming ever. My only issue: PLEASE LOWER THE COST OF HEART ITEMS THERE'S NO WAY. 90 for 1 cape? And we can't buy them? Honestly, worst part. Still 5*!

I've returned to this game briefly, and still barely anything has changed. Many cosmetics are locked behind pay walls, and those that you can purchase with in game currency are ridiculously expensive. You have to spend hours upon hours grinding to get enough in game currency. it is still a lovely game, with many good memories and the community there is absolutely lovely. however, the bugs are unbearable and there's no rest in between events where you can save up candles, leaving you burnt out.

Amazing graphics and artstyle, fun progression and story/lore, and collectibles for all sorts of customization. This isn't a game for everyone, however; the progression and gameplay loop is inherently slow thanks to slow movement speed and the world size. If you want to get far in this game, you have to be willing to sink lots of hours into it. And the cost of the cosmetics is either very high or requires real money to acquire. Take a deep breath and bide your time. It's a vast world out there.

This game is beautiful, like absolutely stunning, and I've been playing on and off since 2020. While I'm sure other people enjoy really big seasons, I was more a fan of the simpler, less involved seasons. New content will make you tediously go back and forth, back and forth between realms instead of sticking to the seasonal area. And 90% of cutscenes are unskippable, even if you have already seen it. My real issue with the game are the controls. I'm constantly fighting the game whenever I play

Beautiful graphics and an amazing, unique story that unfolds during this social gameplay. Completely free (you don't have to buy any cosmetics, though the $ supports the devs) and NO ads whatsoever. If it gets repetitive, take a break and come back later. They have more seasons and stories you can catch up on. Been playing for 3+ years

Love love love this game. It has a beautiful soundtrack to go with the lovely art, and the emphasis on cooperative play and kindness make the game unique. Communication is largely emotes, which is also great, as only a sprinkling of the friends I've made speak English. There are new areas introduced with each "season," so things aren't constantly the same. As a new player, I've been helped many times by friendly veterans.

I've been playing since 2019, and this is an absolutely beautiful game, however, there are two reasons I only gave 4 stars. 1) The in-game currency (candles & hearts) are very hard to obtain. It takes a lot of time and effort for people who can't spend 2hrs collecting. Hearts are basically impossible to get, and yet, everything is very expensive and time limited. 2) In my opinion, Sky has lost it's calm atmosphere. I don't play to have fun anymore, there's no time to enjoy it and go slow.

It's really fun to play with friends, and also alone but some of the quests– you can't do alone. There's one called the "treehouse quest" and it requires multiple players/friends to complete. for solo playing it's really fun to play, you get to explore freely and get new expressions– makes you really pay attention because sometimes a hidden road is camouflaged near the main path. Completing the map is kinda like a puzzle too.

The most relaxing free to play ive played in a long time. I have played on and off over the years. Its a game best experienced the first time alone. as you progress you make more friends and collect wax to make candles that help you purchase in game cosmetics and items. its a bit of a grind to collect lots of outfits but its super fun. I have spent ... a lot of money on this game. IAP are not required for most items. fav part of game is playable musical instruments.

The visuals and sound design are breathtaking and relaxing. However the controls on this game make it absolutely infuriating to play to the point where its not a "relaxing" or "cozy" experience yall try to make it out to be and more of a "Getting over it" equivalent. Let me move and look where I want to. Some cutscenes are entirely too long and make certain tasks too tedious to complete. Why is the economy in the game so bad; Everything is so expensive you have to use real money to get anything.

EDIT: PROBLEM SOLVED! I forgot to change my review a while back, but this issue is resolved! No problems left! Not a 1 star, because I've played before on Switch and Mobile and the game is honestly a 5 star, but the fact that it won't let me use my nintendo account's character is extremely irritating. The worst part is it let me transfer my account before. Then I uninstalled thegame and reinstalled, and now it refuses to let me play as the character I already had, which I spent actual money on.

Very pricey when it comes to paid items.. $20 for something that's almost invisible?😒 Other than that, this is a great game. It's social but doesnt force interactions. Two small things that I would like in the game: Different sitting idles for each stance(when sitting at bench) and matching friendship animations with height(a tall player would have to bend down to hug a smaller player, or a smaller player could appear to be light footed when carried or danced with).

It's a good game, especially in the beginning when you're exploring and taking in the scenery. The game does get slightly repetitive over time because you just collect candles and spend them over and over, but overall I find it beautiful, and I recommend it for people who like calm and peaceful games with nice scenery. It does CRASH/KICK ME out often with ever update for like a month or more no matter what I do.. that's stupid but if you can get IN the game it's fine

Sky has got to be my absolute FAVORITE GAME EVER!! I'd recommend it to all ages, the community is super kind and willing to help you with almost anything. The game is also really gorgeous with multiple spots to sit and hang out with friends. Unfortunately, there are a few downsides to this game also. Server disconnects a lot when traveling in big groups, cosmetics are at INSANE prices, and there is one spot in one of the realms where things get really inappropriate. Other than that, PEAK game.

The game is great, I absolutely love it... however, sometimes the controls don't really work right. such as the character jumping when you barely move the joystick. (idk if this is only a mobile issue or not) it can be extremely annoying when trying to do certain missions such as guiding lights to spirits when it requires you to fly or jump long distances. Also the rocks in the Eye of Eden that auto target players is ridiculous. I physically can't beat it. Don't know if it's intentional or not.

I love the game, no ads, great graphics, not too laggy (at least for me). I beat the game, made it past the Eye of Eden and rebirthed, made it to the Dream Village and then saved my progress and left. You might be wondering why I'm giving it a four star, it's because the game isn't working at all for me anymore. I've tried deleting and reinstalling, restarting my phone and deleting a few apps, yet it doesn't let me past the menu screen. Please fix this, the game isn't bad.

After years of research, deliberation and a strong sense of abrasion, I can honestly say that Sky: Cotl exceeds in all things (multiplayer) related. The stories have made me cry, which doesn't happen often. The ability to connect with people, the limitless amount of friends you can have, and the potential to do almost anything you want as far as interactivity goes, I suggest you play this with loved ones. Despite the subliminal interpretations I pick up from this title, it's great. Come play ▶️

took a long break... still the same immersive, exploration and human connection simulator. it's amazing to just fly around gliding on lift currents and listening to music. You can talk to anyone, no matter the language, or solely through the vast collection of emotes. once you realize the true goal and get your outfit you like, it's pure relaxation. i do however, love the game elements going on right now, so much to do. I love the colors thing, i just wish it was for dyeing trail color as well..
