Well this is totally useless! I expect ads, but if I can't get past them to use the actual app what's the point? Every time I try to open the app, I get to the "select language" screen, an add pops up and I can't get past it. The app won't open and I can't do anything else. I just get redirected to Google Play store for some other app. As far as I can tell this is just an ad generator. Maybe that's just a glitch for your app developers, or maybe it's intentional. But this is getting uninstalled.

Great for stargazing! I think this app would be a perfect tool for parents to use with their kids to learn about stars, constellations, and the universe. Not only that, the maps are well detailed and very informative. This app needs to be used by parents wanting to show their kids the night sky and what wonders it offers. I rate this 5/5 stars because it just brings me joy and wonder, and I have a feeling it will do the same for many more. Happy stargazing to all who use this wonderful app!

Absolutely goated if you like stargazing what I think is the best part of the app if you cannot identify a star just by looking at it you can point your phone at it and it will tell you precisely what and where you're looking at and you can use the same function to find a planet during the daytime or night time. Even for non-stargazers I would suggest getting this app it's that interesting, and you can set reminders for celestial events, it's amazing!

Requires little calibration and always seems to be right on target. Polaris representation aligns with magnetic North. 4 stars because it's difficult to close out ads, even after they've finished playing, requiring that I completely close the app and restart it to get rid of the ad. Developers, please don't allow ads to hijack your program!!! Pet peeve. Otherwise, a delightful app.

I love the app. I use it to find satellites and the iss. It has a option that allows you to set a notification of how long of time before it will start to come over the horizon, if its going to be bright and high enough for you to see with the naked eye. People say to many addss i dont get that, and someone said cant calibrate, very simple put in calibration mode and do figure 8 the way it says to.

UPDATE: Its been over a year now. Still being charged though it was supposed to be paid off 4 mos ago. The alerts are annoying, untrue, and thinky veiled attempts to convince me to download two additional apps. The constellation names aren't even the common names. You can't zoom in or out functionally. The calibration is always inaccurate. I'm canceling and uninstalling. 8/19/2024: Love it. And for less than $20 for life? Well worth the investment!

My favorite star app. I love that you can click on the stars and learn more info on the spot, love that you can adjust the brightness, and I even love the camera mode. I wish there was a way to turn it off and on more easier (the central button in the corner is confusing with that LOL) but otherwise this app is amazing. You can even follow the time track of any celestial body to see at what point in the sky it will be in (x) hours. I could go on forever!! LOVE this app!!! <33

I used to love this app for viewing meteor showers every month. I find a lot of info on the monthly calendar incorrect, now. The time panel at the top is usually incorrect. Manually trying to change it does no good, as it says it doesn't coincide with the date and time on the app. I wouldn't waste your money by subscribing to premium!! There are other star gazing apps that are far more legit, regardless if you subscribe to the premium version, or use it free with ads!!

My 3 year old thinks it's the most amazing thing. Wish I was able to zoom in when viewing real life with the constellation overlays. And also a picture capture option would be top notch. All in all, great app. Love being able to know where the moon will rise exactly as I'm looking out. Ended up going with the lifetime membership. Fair deal in my opinion.

My subscription was a one time purchase, but Google store screwed it up. Now I don't have it, because they kept charging my card for monthly. Now I had to cancel it, to get them to stop bugging me to pay for a month. This app has so many different categories of things you can find and look at & tons of info, as well as a very accurate location finder, and it's so easy to use, I'm really impressed. I have tried other star apps, but this is honestly the best. Sad I had to cancel it. Really miss it

I've been using sky tonight for a little while now and it's been extremely helpful with my astrophotography. However, the last couple of times I've opened the app the bar on top of the screen that includes the search icon, calendar, etc will not allow you to select anything on it. It just acts like you're trying to find out what is in the sky at that location. Same for the bottom pull up menu where you can change your location and what the sky map screen looks like.

Stopped using this a few years ago (to be fair I didn't replace it or anything), I just didn't have much need for it. I just picked it back up and so far it seems smoother and a bit more polished but again its been a while. I've used it for a few hours since the fresh download and have enjoyed using it with ∅ problems. Confirming what I think I see, hunting down comets ☄️, learning the names/shapes of constellations, etc... that's how I use it. EASILY THE BEST of "sky maps" and I use free ver.

Still trying to figure out how to use it. At first it would give you augmented AI which didn't help inside the house.Thar was just as well because the compass was off by 180°. The compass seems to sort itself out after turning the phone on and off. Now when I'm outside I can't use it to find things in the sky because it does not work like sky map. The information saying when a comet will rise above the horizon or set is in dark blue and small print. It makes you buy a companion app.

I don't understand why "precise location" is required. Technically, it only adding Bluetooth and wifi to make the location better, mostly useful in the cities. When I'm out there looking at the stars, I have no wifi nor Bluetooth. GPS location alone should be good enough. I cannot speak of other capabilities of this app, because it doesn't let me use it without so-called precise location.

I absolutely LOVE this app. It's pretty accurate with the placement of celestial bodies, provides lots of information, tracks satellites, events, comets, etc. Bonus; it provides awesome music to enhance your experience, and each time you select a heavenly body, it's given its own musical note (I love composing with the stars). ONLY downside I've run into is the (slightly) annoying habit of the screen timing out while I view the stars, or read info, prompting recalibration of the compass.

Nice app, showes where everything is and it can tell you what it is your looking at, like a planet or man made stuff. One of the best sky apps I've come across. It also lets you know what's available to see, really neat, I didn't know there was so much to see, where to look and time frames. Lots of info! I like it a lot! I was able to locate Saturn and was confident it was Saturn, I was able to take pics. So much fun.

I would love to give it a 5 star. this app has potential to be a spectacular viewing aide for helping get our younger kids curious about the universe. Unfortunately every time you go to inquire about the planets or even navigating through your list. You get bombarded with commercials. I understand that is why you can offer it for limited free but it gets to be way too much to keep your kids interested. Please try to find a way to reduce them so every time you touch something you don't get adds.

Uninstalling just 10 minutes after installing. I installed this because it got such great reviews. When I opened the app to use it, it looked interesting. After exploring a lot of the settings, I noticed it was uncalibrated. Tried calibrating for 5 minutes. It wouldn't calibrate. I don't know. Maybe it's my phone, but this app won't work for me.

Fantastic UI. Easy to get around. Good info that goes deeper than many similar apps but does not get in the way if you just want to identify something you see in the sky. In many ways this is superior to Sky Safari 7 plus for those who want to do visual and binocular astronomy. The observing predictions for clouds, darkness are very accurate— why don't all astronomy apps have this feature? Worth every penny I paid for it—I just wish it wasn't such a battery hog--my biggest complaint.

Too expensive! Pain in the butt to unsubscribe it from my credit card. I went to uninstall it and received the message that the paid subscription would still be charged even if it was uninstalled! But it does have nice drawings of the various constellations. It's difficult to know where you are looking unless you are very experienced with the various planets and stars.
