The app needs a phone widget option to be able to look at the family calendar at a glance the same way you can see it on the actual frame. If I'm not home in front of the frame I have to click several times to get to the calendar in the app. it also has major syncing issues. no matter how many times I try to sync it doesnt show everything. Please fix! Also, most of the features are additional money per month to use. Would not buy again and do not recommend.

Paying for the monthly subscription. Scanned and followed directions for setup, but the calendar and app do not sync with each other. I've tried sharing photos, lists, etc., but neither can see the other, so nothing saves. Settings are cumbersome and don't clearly let you see which email address(es) is/are connected to specific accounts.

*Recently got a new phone. When I connected to my parents' Skylight frame, like I have many times before, there's a notification that says "activate this device". When I click it, it says "This device has been activated," but the notification won't go away. I've cleared cache, force stopped, and uninstalled/reinstalled, but it's still there. Customer service said it will go away on its own, but it hasn't.* Great app, just please add a swipe function! It needs this badly!

While we haven't seen any real issues with the tablet on our wall this app has multiple issues that make it such a pain to use. when searching for a recipe something is causing the search to freeze for a bit and then highlight the entire word you are typing. so if you are looking for a specific one most of what you type will get deleted when it highlights the words and then deletes them when you keep typing. Another issue is when changing date for planned meal you cannot open it right away.

I bought the digital cakendar expecting to use most of its features, but the subscription price is way too high. I paid over $200 for this calendar, and almost all of its features need a subscription (another ~ $100/ year) to work. I'm disappointed that most everything is hidden behind paywall, especially since I've already shelled out hundreds for the calendar. You can't even use a photo as a screensaver without the subscription. Ridiculous!

I have had my calendar for about a month now and so far I am fairly satisfied. I did pay for the subscription as I want all of the features. I did leave off a star as I do feel there are some major features missing that a device like this should have such as: notes, notifications for tasks and calendar events, a kitchen timer, and recipes to stay on the screen instead of photos popping on when in the recipe section. Other than that, its been nice.

Meals defaults to a random day. Have to click Today to get to the correct day. and if you do too much editing, it freezes and you have to hard close. Its also frozen on calendar. also want to be able to sort my grocery list how I want it sorted, not into random categories. I do see you can pull all in the app under one, but it doesn't let me do it on the calendar. Also, Tasks. I want repeat tasks WITHOUT having to select a time period. or having to put it under chore but then it disappears after

Overall, really useful app. Husband and I can work off the same grocery list. I do modified time boxing so all the categories have their own profile in addition to each family member profile. This allows me to filter for my "cleaning", "laundry", "school" or other repeat tasks. I initially worked off the task manager but not being able to see the tasks for the day on the calendar made it harder to plot my day around the hard events we have. link a list to event would be a great feature to add.

Every time I open "meals" or "calendar" on the app, it goes to a random day in the past. Sometimes I can refresh to "today", other times the app crashes. The grocery list is terribly organized, you have to scroll through useless categories to find the items you added. I leep trying to just have meals set up for only "dinner", but nothing changes. Definitely better, more intuitive systems out there.

This app worked well for about 3 months and has now started to get buggy. It just closes whenever I am trying to edit a task or calendar entry. After several episodes of that, a message pops up saying the app has a bug and to try updating the app once the admin fixes it. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and the issue persists. This app has helped my family so much, I would sure hate to have to give it up and search for alternatives, but the convenience is not much against glitches.

This app used to work much better. Now I can't access all of my albums to upload to frames. It also often gets stuck during upload and will say that it failed and will keep retrying but it never seems to fully go through. it has been frustrating because I feel like otherwise, the app is easy to use and well organized.

skylight ux has a couple of big misses. "set up for another person" option doesn't appear until 3/4ths of the setup has been completed. that should be at the start. approvals for others to upload doesn't appear in the app or the device, it's email only. this system could be so much better in so many ways there's not enough characters available in the review for me to list. I feel like skylight paid for promotion slots and good reviews the product is pretty barebones and thoughtless

Was gifted a calendar by family for the holidays. Overall, happy with the experience, as our family already uses a management app, Maple, so we're used to the process of sticking things in an app. However, the app and calendar are both missing a critical tool, notes!! Some things don't need to go on a list or be a task, they just need to be remembered. Maple has this ability... so the family is hesitant to fully make the switch... will update if that changes.

I've had the frame since May 2024 with no issues. The app has always been fine. Over the last few days the app has been super glitchy. Today I couldn't even access my frames. I keep being prompted to setup a new frame. I noticed there was a recent update so I uninstalled the app and reinstalled. I made sure all permissions were accepted and up to date. I can't log in at all now!

Limiting my photos to put on the frame without a subscription is not acceptable. If it was in large print when I bought the thing maybe, but it wasn't. It'll be a cold day in the bad place before I buy your script. I've since bought 2 frames from a competitor and they blow you away. Unlimited photos without any monthly fees. I can even set the frame to turn off at night. Wow, what a concept! Skylight better start caring about what their customers think or they're gonna get left behind.

This app is so frustrating! I bought four frames for my kids and myself. Getting them set up and then reassigning them is near impossible. Forget it if you want to rename it. Every time I open the app it is a surprise where I end up and what features work. Someone needs to rethink this completely. The concept is great and I wish I could recommend it to everyone. I cannot right now.

Functionally the app "works" but that's all it's doing. It's clunky and there isn't a smooth transition. I ran into an issue where I add a new recipe and click on the plus button to add a new one, provide the link, and confirm the link was added. You get taken back to the list of recipes but the add button in the bottom right corner is missing and it doesn't come back until you go back out to the home screen and back into the recipe list. Can't speed up this process 😑😮‍💨😤

I just bought the 27 inch calendar and the app worked on and off sort but now doesn't work at all. I have black icons where things should be there. I can't get into anything on the app and I was really hoping to love this but the app is garbage! For how much money I spent, this is beyond frustrating! Debating returning the calendar now because the app is so terrible.

This program, the app, and the calendar are so difficult to use! I have a family of 6, and it takes me HOURS to get chores/routines set up or changed. It is NOT efficient. There is no way to delete a profile without reassigning the tasks within it. Then each task has to be deleted individually, which takes 4-5 clicks each. The app is slow and jumpy, and glitchy. The calender device is slow to update, and sometimes the chores/routines show up twice in the profiles and deleting one deletes both.

Slower than any other app I've used, which is probably my biggest complaint. I like the calendar, but tasks and stars are confusing to use (especially for multiple kids). You can assign a task (or reward) to multiple kids initially but you have to edit individually thereafter. I also wish there was a feature to break down projects into tasks.
